The Guildhall and Linen Exchange Wetherspoon Hotel

Perfectly adequate Wetherspoons, no complaints there. However this has to be one of the loudest towns on earth. Been woken up countless times throughout the night from people and vehicles on the street outside and even by people in the hotel slamming doors.

Cheap. Nice decor. But every single time I go there the glasses are dirty! The options are: buy a bottled beer or BYOG (Bring your own glass! )

Decent Wetherspoons with a nice interior. Usually get a good service and decent food.

I have ate and drank and stayed hereany times. It is such good value for money. The staff are friendly. I wish there was music.

Good honest to goodness pub grub at reasonable prices, their wine and beer are a good price also. Great place to take the family, plus it is full of local history.

Been a few times but recently popped in after work. Two pints of excellent real ale for £3.98. (You could argue the merits and demerits of the impact on breweries til the barrels run dry. ) Nice atmosphere but gets busy at weekends, with a smidgen of loutishness now and again. Food's good: no better, no worse than Beafeaters etc. A friend stayed the night a few weeks ago and really liked their rooms. At the end of the day it's a Wetherspoons. Fine by me.

Great place. Excellent value for money. Very clean room. Right on high street and near theatre great location. Cheap food and drink. Will definitely be back.

Both rooms I stayed in were clean and had walk in showers which I liked a lot. Room 101 is a really good size, 204 more normal hotel room size. Food was nice, we stayed for dinner, usual Spoon's fayre, but with some Scottish additions, I had the haggis burger. The heating broke in my room on the first night, it was freezing. Reported it in the morning and was given a free coffee. Got back to my room that evening to find the bed stripped, but all my stuff still there. Went down to the bar and they said they were moving me to another room as they couldn't fix the heating. I wasn't notified of this despite them having my email address and mobile number. Got to a new room and the heating was on, set at 28 so I had to turn it right down and open a window as it was like a sauna. The TV came on when I put my card in the slot but there was no remote control so I couldn't turn the volume down or turn it off, had to go back down to my original room to bring that remote upstairs. There was also no directional nozzle on the hair dryer in the second room. Very annoying when working away.

Cheap drink and great food, tables usually abit sticky depending on the time you go but otherwise a great experince or start on a night out :)

Very good, reasonably priced food. Typical of the brand. Also stayed in hotel, the room was huge with comfortable beds. Well equipped en-suite bathroom.

A lovely historic building which created a great atmosphere for lunch. The food was of the usual Weatgerspoon quality, cheap and cheerful. Staff were very friendly.

Food was really nice and the prices were surprisingly lower than most places. The atmosphere was very pleasant. It was cleaner than most places I've visited recently.

Pleasant exterior within an inviting location in the town centre. Bar area is small and seating is awkwardly placed. Food service area is more extensively sized and better laid out. Toilets are impressive.

Very good restaurant. You must go to the box and pay excellent prices.

Stayed in the hotel and ate in the pub, food and drink is cheap and quick service. The only downside was the room was freezing cold upon arrival and took at least 3 hours to warm up as the ceiling is so high. As it was pre-booked, the room could have been warm or at least, at least 15 degrees. There was some street noise but it didnt bother us and was expected as you stay in the middle of town. Would go back!

Ideal for breakfast reasonable price 2 full Scottish tenner could do with new seat covers bit minging.

Food was tasty and quickly served, and was well priced too. Tables weren't clean however and we had to ask a server to clean our table about 15 minutes after we had sat down. Otherwise a good meal!

Only went for drinks. Cheap and cheerful. Good prices for prosecco.

Was there today for lunch. Ordered 2 turkey diners. The first came with no gravy, it looked like it had sat under a heat light for ages. The second came swimming in gravy with a small jug of extra gravy on the side, no roast veg or cranberry sauce… this is my first bad review I have written. I should have spoken to someone at the time I know, wish I had. But the lunch was the worst I have had in a longtime.

Cheap drinks and food. Breakfast is good value and pretty good quality. My last visit for lunch was disappointing. Frozen overcooked chips small gammon steak and two fried eggs. Edible but won't be in a hurry to go for lunch again. Nice staff though.

Despite it being very busy, we were able to find a table and the staff quickly ensured it was clean for us. We ordered the food, which arrived promptly and was as described. The drinks were also pleasant, with a good choice available at the bar. Overall, exactly what we were after and what you'd expect of a weatherspoons.

Much nicer than other Witherspoon! Polite efficient staff, good food, nice surroundings. Much nicer staff than our local one which we never go to now.

The service was fantastic. The waitress that bought our food to us was fantastic and she liked the compliment if my 4yr old neice saying her blue hair was amazing and she wants her hair like that!

Good central location on Dunfermline high street. Good choice on menu, with food being of a good standard especially for the reasonably low price point. Drinks are included in the price of most meals and as long as you avoid the pints of draught beer you're all good.

My first choice for a meal out or a drink with friends. It's relaxed, the service is great and the food is served in no time. Great food and drink with great prices. Highly recommend!

Bit of a wait at the bar to get served. It was busy, but not heaving, and for a period there was little bar staff around, hence the delay. That was the only problem though. The drinks were good, we got some guest ales and at £2.19 a pint the vale is brilliant. Two guys with us had food and both enjoyed what they got. The food was served promptly after the order was taken. Nice clean pub & toilets as well.

We had an excellent stay at the Guildhall! Perfectly located in the center of Dunfermline, rooms are big, quite cosy and bathroom was just perfect! The Pub located around the entrance serves delicious breakfast for a very reasonable price.

One arrogant male staff members attitude to one of our party. Making assumptions which were badly judged. Caused the whole party to depart the bar and take our business down to the city hotel where staff could not have been more helpful. Definitely won't be back.

It's always good value especially steak and curry nights … great atmosphere if you are in just for a quick drink and reasonable priced all round.

Fast table service and food was good. Friendly staff and the place was clean and tidy.

Rather disappointed really. Rooms reasonable enough, seem fairly modern but small sizes don't help. Old building with single glazed windows=noisy. How noisy? Well on a Tuesday night, with another pub kicking out outside the window it was difficult to sleep much at all! Through the night you could hear doors slamming what with the creaking floorboards meant that sleep was more of an aspiration than a reality. Wasn't even cheap. Pity really, promised so much but failed to deliver.

Went for lunch on a Saturday, tried their new app for ordering and paying for food, it was really good. Didn't even need to get out my seat until I left! Would definitely recommend it.

Cheap and cheerful. Food average. Not a lot of room for a pram when in at lunch time. Bit of a hassle to go to bar for key for baby changing room / disabled toilet. Good service.
