I stayed at the hotel for one night and this can be said about it:

Rare staff night out after a very busy day, relaxing atmosphere, great food and great service and a wee lemon chelo to finish things off :)

An excellent family owned and operated hotel offering a friendly and helpful service where nothing is too much trouble. Food is well cooked and plentiful offering good value for money. I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay and have no hesitation in reccomending the hotel to others. Good bus links are available to and from nearby Dunfermline.

Food excellent waitress made me feel very welcome I have some food intolerances she couldnt have been more helpful would tell anyone how good this place is clean and friendly will defineatly be back.

Fabulous, Brilliant and hoping there's availability for me again next week. I stay in hotels every week throughout the UK, but this place is a little bit special and way above average. It ticks all the boxes — the welcome, the hospitality, the rooms (such a joy to find accommodation where everything works properly). Great location and stunning views. By the way… the food is just wonderful.

Warm welcome from staff very friendly had smoked haddock gratin was best I have had followed by fish and chips stumbled across this village and wanted to have dinner 3 of us had a lovely meal will be paying you a visit again keep up the good work and thank you.

Wonderful staff and amazing food. It has quickly become one of my favourite places to eat out. It also enjoys lovely views across the River Forth.

Great wee place always take the wee man in for ice cream after the park. The lady that serves you always happy and smiling welcomes you in and makes sure you are comfortable.

Not very busy for a Sunday evening, but the food was good and the service (although a little surly) was fine and quick. Nice decor, but no real theme. Menu mixed, several Italian dishes plus burger, fish, steak pie etc. I had Beef Stroganoff which was delicious. Husband had Smoked Haddock Tagliatelle which he said was very tasty and our son had an Aberdeen Angus Beefburger which looked meaty and juicy. Average prices, certainly not a gourmet paradise but tasty food nonetheless. We'd go back again… enough said.

Nice staff, good breakfast, structure furnished in really old style, not too clean but with a nice view.

The haddock was very fresh, beautiful big and crispy batter. Hand cooked chips, lovely.

Such an understated and unassuming restaurant for a host with such character and a menu deliciously prepared. The Seabass and Smoked Haddock tagliatelle were divine!

Was just in for lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Bacon brei and cranberry tasca to die for … absolutely delicious and the best cup of coffee ive had for a long time to wash it all down with. Service was good … very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely go back x.

Ideal picturesque location at end of cobbled street overlooking Firth of Forth. Delicious lunch — I had smoked haddock tagliatella perhaps a tad too rich and creamy for my taste and my husband the salt and peppered squid starter as a main course with chips. Slightly pricey over £30 including two small soft drinks but very tasty and worth it for the views.

Fantastic place best nights sleep I have had, food was amazing, staff were great made us feel so welcome thank Yous defo coming back and wud recommend to anyone xx.

Fantastic little gem of a place, friendly and fantastic service, arrived to champagne and roses which I ordered as a surprise for my wife, evening meal was fantastic quick and friendly I can recommend the tagliatelle casa. Breakfast was a first class service and ate like a king and breakfast was cooked fresh to order and we had a good chat with the owners father for a good thirty mins. The only problem we had was with the radiator in our room but again owners father fixed it for us. We will defo be back to support this local business either as a hotel guest or a bistro guest. A hidden gem on the fife coastline.

Given this eatery a few chances but on each occassion the food, service and experience has been awful. The manager just doesn't care that the food is of a poor quality. His food tastes as if it was made with a supermarkets own brand of cheap sauce and dried pasta. Orders were sent to the kitchen and mysteriously lost. They charge as much as a 'good' Edinburgh Italian restaurant but without any competition they fail to supply either fresh tasty food or a friendly atmosphere. And any complaint is met with the managers favourite phrase, "what can you do"! This place must rely on first time visitors only or those who have heard that years ago under a different owner it was a good restaurant to visit. Now, avoid at all costs. Seriously, go hungry rather than spend money here.
