Didn’t book but fortunately they were able to give us a table. Service was great staff exceptionally helpful and pleasant.

My husband and I have just enjoyed a lovely three course meal at the garvock house hotel. The food was first class, with quality ingredients and excellent service. We felt both safe and welcome. I highly recommend.

Immaculate venue, staff very attentive. Food 2nd to none, very well executed and plenty to choose from.
Extremely well priced too.

What a gem of a place. Stayed here and had a family dinner. Room was lovely and the food delicious. But the staff were what made it an exceptional stay. Couldn't have been more attentive. Will definitely be back.

Garvock House is family owned and run by the owners. It shows in the attention to detail not only in the hotel itself but also the beautifully kept grounds. The food is of a very high standard with a varied menu whether it’s lunch, afternoon tea or dinner. A perfect setting for a relaxing break … and best of all it’s dog friendly.

I've been here for many events now over the years including my own baby shower this weekend. The venue has a sophisticated but friendly feel, a varied selection of rooms to choose from for events, lovely decor, dedicated staff and the food is always unfaultable. Would highly recommend the Garvock to others!

I got married here. Lorna, Libby, Scott and all the staff were amazing. The hotel and location is stunning. Food was amazing. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Nothing was to much trouble. Can't wait to go back.

Was recently at my sister and brother in law wedding at Garvock house Hotel, what an amazing day huge thanks to the lovely venue, fabulous staff nothing was a bother to anyone

Lovely food. Courteous service which was prompt but in no way rushed. Lovely hotel in great setting. Menu is value for money and food is well presented. Staff very attentive and warm. A great evening.

We got married at the Garvock House Hotel. Amazing night and great staff. We were thee last night for a meal which was nice.
We had received a voucher a few years back for Christmas that expired before we had the chance to go. We explained this but they just said it was our fault, which it was but after spending thousands on our wedding we hoped that they would have a bit of come and go! 5 star venue if they were a bit more understanding and customer focused.

Having been before & seeing the new lunch menu online, we decided another visit was due. Although we had booked we had to wait before we got a seat in the bar area but we weren't seated long before being shown to our table. The melon starter was an array of colour, the prawn cocktail tasty, albeit a small portion. We opted to pay the £4 supplement for the roast rib eye, Yorkshire pudding & roast potato. And I mean a single potato! The single slice of beef was a little overdone but delicious nonetheless. The mango creme brûlée hit the spot, however the spoon sized piece of vanilla ice cream was insufficient in ration to the apple/rhubarb crumble. Service was exceptional as usual. Portion size left me wanting, wanting a bag of crisps on the way home!

Had a lovely meal with my family last night excellent service friendly staff, and amazing food would definately recommend the Garvock House Hotel for that bit extra luxury and good service makes all the difference. Thankyou.

Our visit to Garvock House on Sunday 24th September was one we will definitely remember but for all the wrong reasons. Looking around the restaurant we weren't the venues usual clientele as younger customers and disappointingly the hosts made little effort to make us feel welcome. We regularly eat out and our waiter lacked even basic manners, had no ounce of enthusiasm and spoke down to us. In once instance my partner asked for Ketchup for his fish and chips and after the waiter was initially unsure whether to accommodate this request, he then proceeded to discuss said request with other members of staff while looking over at us in disgust as we looked on in absolute shock. After finishing our meals we had already decided we wouldn't be having a dessert but didn't get the chance to mention this as the waiter handed us the menus without saying a word of acknowledgement. The same waiter then came back to take our order and we advised that we wouldn't be having anything and politely asked for the bill. At this point he scoffed at us and didn't say a word. We showed him the voucher we won at a charity event before he left to get us the bill, which he proceeded to snatch out of my partners hand and didn't have the courtesy to thank us for the payment or even return with our bill so we could see that the voucher covered the price. We were left sitting waiting around wondering if we were able to leave or if we still had a balance to pay.
