Single beds very badly In need of replacing. Caster wheels so you dont wake up where the bed started and constantly picking the pillows back up off the floor. Everything else was ok but when the main aim is to sleep rest and refuel it kind of misses the point of staying on a bouncy broken mattress. Grab and go breakfast still even when guests could dine together in the evening while drinking and watching the football with no social distancing.

Great staff, specially with the current Coronavirus issue.

Excellent and very clean facilities at a very reasonable cost. Ample free parking in car park. This venue is only a 2 minute walk from a large retail park where almost anything can be bought at very competitive prices.

Perfect for somewhere to sleep and get a good breakfast in the morning, bedrooms are spacious enough, no family rooms, but it's an express. Bathroom blue lighting is ideal for children to find their way to the toilet at nights, small selection of hot breakfast items and a great choice of continental options. Cutlery and crockery sometimes a task to locate 1st time around.

The staff at the Holiday Inn are committed to ensuring customer satisfaction. You are greeted with a friendly face, they strive to do the best work possible and are helpful with tips on navigating the area. I definitely recommend staying here! We are thankful for a wonderful experience.

We’ve used Holiday Inn hotels many times and never been unhappy before but the food in this place really lets it down. We’ve booked DB&B but won’t be dining here the second night.

The hotel rooms were clean. Staff were nice too. Unfortunately we were there over new year and everything was closed in terms of food. Hotel couldn't help either because they were busy auditing for the new year. That's the only thing I wished I knew before hand as we ended up finding a local. Petrol station to buy sandwiches and crisps. So if you're travelling for new year get food at the drive through mcdonalds before it closes!

Recently refurbished throughout the hotel rooms are so clean and modern. Free Very fast Wi-Fi staff are so helpful breakfast was amazing by far the best hotel I have stayed in.

Easy to find. Perfect for us who were going to Edinburgh next day but couldn't find somewhere affordable for family of 4 in Edinburgh itself. Buffet breakers next day was decent. Enough choice for all of us and well fed to start the day. Only issue I had was the bed being too soft but hey the wife liked that. Supermarket across the road which is handy.

Good value hotel and rooms are excellent quality for the money and are also very quiet. The location of the hotel is good for motorway access but if you don't have a car there is a reasonable walk to the centre of town. The dining area is ok but does lack a bit of character.

This is a good hotel for stopover. Room was very good and clean. Staff were excellent, especially bar man. Evening meal basic but plentiful with lots of choice. Breakfast was chaotic as the hotel was very busy. Dogs were allowed in bedrooms which concerned me with a daughter allergic to dog hair (she wasn’t with us so it did not matter). Also many children, some of which were running and screaming around the breakfast room while people were carrying hot drinks, but not the hotel’s fault.

Place is good. Used it for a team meeting. Good facilities. Parking is good. Right across from asda and mcdonalds an along the road from big retail park. Friendly staff and clean. Would recommend.

Good enough for what I needed. I requested a double bed but the previous occupant must have cut it in half to more suit his needs. Don't expect a big breakfast, the plates have an exact radius of 2.4mm. I had to use what little knowledge I have of high rise structures to stack 2 sausage, 2 bacon, 1 hash brown, a fried egg and two toast. Top tip use the toast as a good foundation.

We were arriving late on a cold night so ahead of our arrival we received a telephone call to check if we needed them to prepare the heat in the room suitable for our arrival, very warm welcome when we arrived, excellent help in giving information about transport in Edinburgh, as good a front desk as I have known. Great location for park and ride or train station. Will certainly stay there again.

Clean rooms and toilets. They also have ironing facilities in the room which is a big plus for me! The bar could be better, especially the food.

I attended a meeting here. The facilities were good and the staff helpful. It's basic, but clean and has what you need.

Very nice place. Went up for a family event and they were so lovely letting us check in late due to travelling. Would totally recommend.

A short ride in the bus to Dunfermline town centre which does have some very interesting history and a lovely Glen walk. Shopping I would say is fair. Retail Park opposite hotel for anything you could need. Not close to the railway station, you need a bus or taxi but good access to the new Queensferry Crossing over the river Forth to Edinburgh, Glasgow and the South.

Great hotel in a great location. Fairly big rooms with lots of space and one of the nicer 'express' breakfasts.

Very clean and comfortable. Even gave me a toothbrush and mini toothpaste when I forgot mine. Thought reception area a little cold and possibly needed an extra staff member present to help when dealing with more than one person. Would stay again.

Excellent service and so friendly we are from Brisca f2 formular racing stayed a weekend, the staff accommodated all our requests brilliant staff morell planning to stay again 5th august if we can get availability.

Absolutely fantastic hotel, reasonably priced and includes free breakfast which was lovely, plenty of choices from a cooked breakfast to cereal or porridge, yogurt or fruit. Teas, coffees, hot chocolate and fruit juices also available!
Our room was spotless, very spacious too. There was 2 adults, 2 children and a toddler in our party and more than enough space in our room.
Reception and porter staff were friendly, kind and helpful. The entire hotel is beautiful! We will definitely be back again soon!

Staff are really friendly, hotel room was perfect and breakfast has a nice range of food (hot food, cereal, fresh fruit). Plenty of parking spaces (free). There is an Asda just opposite with loads of other places to eat (pizza hut, mc donalds and more) just a short drive away.

Typical holiday inn, but terrible location. There was a supermarket and a few restaurants nearby, but most of them closed when we got there. Uber is pretty nonexistent there, so don't think about going into town with that.

Central clean nice staff well kept room nice breakfast and never made to feel we had to rush.

Room was perfectly acceptable, nice shower room and friendly staff. However the hot options for the breakfast were… honestly perplexing. Link sausages, beans and scrambled eggs were the only hot options. No bacon, hash browns, fried or boiled eggs, tomato or not even a tattie scone.

This was a very comfortable hotel. The room was nice and spacious, and felt very comfortable, quiet, and relaxing. The front desk staff was also very friendly and welcoming, and I enjoyed the free breakfast in the morning. The only problem was that I stayed here to visit Edinburgh, and the trip into the city took a while. You can take the train (about 30 minutes), and then walk about 10 minutes to the hotel (it's a safe and easy walk), but the train isn't very reliable or consistent. You can also take a bus that is a short walk from the hotel, but that takes about 45 minutes to get into the city. The trip to the airport was also very easy though, as you can catch the bus right across the street from the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed in the hotel for the first time and must say it was very clean & comfortable. Even the sofa bed for my 3 year old was good size and comfortable. We stayed in the hotel for travelling to Edinburgh and the drive is not long. Plenty of parking on site which is free. Included breakfast is also good for the price we paid and had plenty of options for everyone. Location of the hotel is also good if you like Indian curry as they have few restaurants around the area. Would recommend to anyone.

This hotel was fine. Farther out of endinburgh then we had imagined.

Bit noisy, lovely comfortable bed. Free Wi-Fi and Sky Sports 1 in my room.

I would definitely go back. Staff really friendly and helpful, nothing to much bother for them. The hotel was just outside Dunfermline, is full of history within its walls. The room was clean and dust free, loved the blue light in the toilet and wash room. It also smelt clean. All in all we had a wonderful stay.

If you're looking for a cheap hotel with good access to Edinburgh, this is a good place to start. Even accounting for the return train journey each day, this is still a cheaper option than staying in Edinburgh during peak season. Make sure you check the train times though — some nights they didn't run as late as I'd expected.

Convenient location, nice staff, nice breakfast. It would've been nicer if the room was more soundproof, could hear people walking around all night.

Terrible place, rooms are very inconvenient, only two sets of towels in a room of three, very cold on arrival, really tiny and not suitable for three people. Would not stay here again!

Myself, my wife and our wee toddler stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is located in a good area, about a 5-10 minute drive from the town. There is an Asda and a few other stores opposite and a leisure park 5 mins drive away including bowling, cinema and many eateries. The room was very comfortable and clean with plenty of space for the 3 of us, the inclusive breakfast was ok, could do with more hot options but on a whole it was fine. The staff were friendly and helpful and quick to help out when we needed something for the wee one. Would happily stay there again :)

Recently stayed at this hotel on business for 3 days. Upon arrival I was greeted by very friendly and approachable staff that were very happy to chat with you while checking in. The room was spotless with modern decor throughout and the staff had informed me of the fact that the hotel had just went through a major rebrand which I feel makes a huge difference as there is a relaxing atmosphere throughout the hotel. They offer a snack type menu mon-thur evenings which is more than sufficent and have daily specials every day so there is more than enough choice for guests staying over for a few nights. The continental breakfast was great with plenty of choice on the buffet. I will definetly be staying at this hotel again whether on business or for leisure.

Absolutely appalling hotel and staff! we were booked in here for friends wedding. Our room was dirty, build up of dust and hairs were found on the floor of the bathroom which had clearly not been cleaned in some time. Staff seamed uninterested. Facilities were terrible, bar had no draft beer, we ended up leaving and found a private owned hotel just down the road, opposite the car showroom, arnold clark, I think! they were lovely, rooms immaculate and food was amazing! avoid holiday inn express dunfermline at all costs.
