Just treated the kids to milkshakes as a wee surprise as they have been so good today! They absolutely loved them! They arrived just in time after their tea! Thank you very much Tweedside Hotel! Their wee faces totally lit up!

Stayed here during the MTB off season which meant that our group of 6 had the acommodation building to ourselves. We had an absolute blast biking on the local trails, and having the Tweedside Hotel to come back to just crowned the experience! The accommodation was spacious, tidy, warm. The beds were comfortable and clean towels and toiletries were provided for each guest. The toilets were clean and well stocked, and the showers were hot and powerful. Exactly what you need to power wash the dirt off after a day on the trails! There is no kitchen facility, but we managed alright anyway, as we either made sandwiches on the table in the communal area, or used one of the great takeaway restaurants in the town. The communal area is large and welcoming, featuring 3 big, comfortable leather sofas, as well as tables and coffee tables. It was absolutely perfect to come back to and discuss the days riding over a few beers. There is also a big widescreen TV with a HDMI connection for plugging your laptop in and sticking on some MTB DVD's. Score! We also went down to the Tweedside Hotel's pub downstairs, and had great fun chatting bar staff and the locals, drinking fresh tasty pints and generally having the craic. The accommodation staff were excellent, and showed us how everything worked upon arrival, and provided us with a contact number to call them if there were any problems, but thankfully we didn't need to. We paid a very keen rate to stay here for two nights.

Stayed on the hotel. Well greeted the room was clean and tidy. The decor fine if a little tired. The communal bathroom was reasonable size and clean, although oddly had a clothes rail in the corner.
Noise from other guests was a little irritating, but not overly intrusive. For the price, I felt it was perfectly reasonable place to have a base. The bed was comfy a the room a good size.
It’s not the Ritz, but it is not priced to be that. Comfy and friendly are the buzz words tbf

Good honest hotel. Has had a lot of renovation and upgrading this last year. Lovely landlady Tina will Always try to accommodate any special requirements. Good pub grub in a real warm friendly atmosphere. Bar staff have a big smile and a hello as soon as you walk in the bar. It's a gem of a place to spend a weekend away from city life and rat race.

Love coming here for a family meal as it's a very relaxed place to go! Having a 2 year old and 6 year old the Tweedside Hotel is safe and secure for the toddler to walk about in. The 6 year old can have a game of pool with his dad while waiting on the food to arrive! The food is delicious and we usually leave having cleaned all of our plates! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful! Nothing is too much trouble! Thank you!

Amazing drink prices and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We ordered veggie burgers and were delighted to hear that the owner made them for us herself — from scratch — upon order. They were delicious! We had plenty of great company while we were there from this family run establishment and locals who make this bar one of their favorite haunts. Would definitely return, made us feel right at home.

With a small town atmosphere and a fantastic selection of gin, this is the place to grab a drink in town. The staff is friendly, the music was top notch and the food was delicious and cheap. The options for vegetarians were delicious and price conscious. Plus all the fine Gina were 3£ a shot! Well worth the stop.

This place is small but was able to accommodate a large group of ten which also grew as the night went on. Definitely a traditional pub. Food was decent. Drinks were reasonably priced. The music was much louder than anticipated but we still had a good evening.

I would like to say thanks to tina and derek for having us stay at their place for what was only meant to be a few days but ended up being a lot longer and would like to recommend this friendly place as a home from home, the laughter, great food and drink, and their staff who were always ready to help make your stay as pleasent as possible, We have been to a lot of places in a few years, but I would never pass this place for anything, All iwe can add to this, is Expect the Unexpected (hope tina and derek get a chance to read rhis, if you see this pass it on by word of mouth) to them and anyone looking for a great Atmoshere on holiday Sandra and Frank.
