Absolutely lovely staff from when I first came into book this afternoon, Arrived half an early so we could have a drink lovely staff again Food was fantastic My steak was beautiful as were the beef olives Well done guys Take care Stay safe We will be back.

The food is the best it’s ever been, great menu & super tasty 😋 We are local and eat here quite often. It’s really cosy and the team there are really friendly and accommodating. We had the vegan cottage pie with extra veg and salad & I could eat that every night & The pudding where spot on and really beautifully presented. Would recommend to everyone.

The staff were all amazingly helpful, both before and during our stay. We were unable to check-in during their allocated hours due to being at a wedding (the reason for our stay), yet the staff were super helpful when I phoned to enquire about this prior to booking. On arrival, the young man at reception got us checked in early, provided us with our room key, and even offered to call a taxi to take us to the wedding venue (and provided us with a couple of taxi numbers for our return journey after the wedding). We enjoyed a relaxing drink while we waited for our taxi, and the lady behind the bar was friendly and attentive. Our room was clean and comfortable (excellent bed; very comfy, and we both had a great night's sleep), and the breakfast was fresh, filling, and delicious. We had a wonderful stay, and look forward to returning the next time we're in the area. Thank you again! Also, for visitors in the area:
Although we didn't manage to visit this time, we recommend a visit to Traquair House (Scotland's oldest inhabited house, dating back to 1107) for anyone visiting the area. As well as learning all about the amazing history of this remarkable home, the grounds are beautiful, and also house a maze (which you can wander through; it's not just for show).

Staff were very welcoming and friendly service despite being extremely busy. Both the dishes we had were lovely, hot tasty and well presented. As was the cheeseboard! Would not hesitate to recommend. We will definitely return!

Josh and Craig absolutely smashing it, with amazing food, just put together perfectly and with service so good I even stayed for a second pint. Such a lovely space, me and my daughter love being here — the staff always go out of their way to create the perfect atmosphere and make us feel so welcome.

Awesome food, cold beers a warm fire (and welcome) and great craic. So family friendly with kids and dogs warmly welcomed too… what’s not to love xAx.

We visited Traquair for dinner this evening and what a fantastic place super friendly, excellent service and our youngest child has additional needs & can be a bit loud but I didn't feel uncomfortable or that I had to keep her quiet as the place was so friendly! She certainly enjoyed herself & seemed very relaxed! Food was awesome & the kids ate free with it being the October holidays so that was a bonus! Thanks guys! xxx.

Stayed 2nd day of our Scottish C2C bike ride friendly staff evening meal was fantastic and great breakfast before leaving highly recommend.

Sunday 18th Aug I went to use my breakfast Competition win. What a fantastic menu, so much to choose from. All 4 of us had different selections and have to say it was brilliant. Great service from happy smiling staff. We will be back this time for evening meal. Thank you Traquair Arms.

Staff were friendly rooms were nice only thing I would say is food and drink slightly expensive. Rooms where freezing at night due to bad weather. Heating was only on for hour but hand electric heater in room but didn't heat room very well.

Stayed here after 2 hard day's of cycling on Coast and Castles route from Newcastle to Edinburgh. The staff were friendly and very helpful and made us a very welcome meal long after the chef should have been in bed! Would recommend for cyclists!

We stayed across the road from the Traquair. Great value for drinks and the food is superb. Friendly staff who can't do enough for you. After a days biking or walking pay the Traquair a visit you won't be disappointed.

We had an overnight stay at the Traquair arms hotel this week, with quite a few members of family. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely friendly guy who got us checked in easily. He even let me borrow his umbrella to save me from the snow. We all had tea in the dining area in the evening, the food was lovely, all freshly made. Another member of staff served us in the dining/bar area and again, nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately my son started with a sickness bug in the night, which is bad enough when you’re at home but even worse when you’re stuck in a hotel! I mentioned it to the fella on check out and told him I’d had to wash some bedding but had left it in the bath, he made us feel at ease about the situation and said not to worry, before wishing my son well. We’re hoping to be over to visit family there again soon, and will hopefully be stopping at the Traquair again.

Fantastic. Just stayed at this hotel with a large collection of my family. We can honestly say we wanted for nothing. When we checked in the man on reception was lovely. The rooms were lovely and clean as was the bedding. The young man behind the bar who also looked after us at breakfast was a credit to the hotel. The level of customer service was second to none. Absolutely nothing was to much trouble. I would not hesitate to return or recommend. Thank you.

Good situation for walks, very dog friendly, food a bit expensive but delicious. Staff friendly and efficient. Dog friendly room spacious and clean. Lovely place!
