Great stay at this first class hotel. Friendly, reasonably.

Had a wonderful meal tonight. Staff were excellent,, highly recommended.

Stayed for a few nights a few months ago. Super friendly staff. Small but clean with fantastic food choices. Only down point is no decent bike store until 10pm, lucky our friends were able to keep our bikes for us. Good value for money and would definitely recommend.

Lovely meal. I had the chicken breast stuffed with haggis while my other half had scampi, both very enjoyable, followed by cheesecake and apple crumble, just as good. From previous experience we can recommend the Chinese menu too. With our bottle of Chardonnay only £12.50 and our overall bill coming in at less than £50, this was a satisfying evening at a very reasonable price.

As the name suggests, this is a building on a corner, consisting of Chinese takeaway lounge bar and small restaurant offering a 50/50 menu of Chinese meals or pub grub like steak pie, fish and chips etc. The staff were fantastic, made sure you had everything you wanted, checked you were enjoying your food and if staying, that your room was OK. If staying please book a table as the limited space fills quickly, and nothing worse than being a guest and can't get fed! The rooms are reasonably priced and we're very clean, the room I had was fine but the cramped toilet meant I finished getting dried in the room. If exploring the local areas, Peebles is only 6 miles away, Galashiels 15 and Melrose 17. Just outside Melrose itself is Abbotsford Walter Scott's house, worth a visit £11 entry. The visitor centre has a gift shop and toilets downstairs and a cafe with table service upstairs. Lovely coffee and choice of cakes, but there are obviously sandwiches etc for something savory. There are many wonderful walking opportunities in the area, along the banks of the Tweed, three at Walter Scott's house for a start, but so many more across the region. For a short break it's ideal, then you can decide whether to comeback, for a bit longer possibly.

Only gave 2nd star as the staff were lovley but the food was not. Kids liked theirs but kids will eat most things. Fish was bland and tasteless… tasted frozen… the chips were awful there was zero taste to them and just beyond bland. My husbands sauce was meant to be pepercorn was more cheese there was zero peppercorn taste. Not good at all and for the price too was awful. Will not be back!

Many thanks for making us feel so welcome for the past 4 nights. Great breakfasts, great evening meals and great banter with the very friendly staff. I had the steak pie whilst cycling the capital trail and it was fantastic! The staff were super friendly and really accommodating given I was a muddy cyclist. They looked after my bike ans gear and made me feel at home. Local ales on offer were really tasty too. Made for a pleasant end to a rainy day of off road riding.

Just stayed here with my parents, very good overall. Rooms fairly basic but good, clean and comfortable. Food was good and the staff were very helpful, friendly and nice to us. Would recommend the hotel. Innerleithen is right in the heart of the Scottish Borders, and a nice wee village in itself too.
