I had the most amazing massage and facial yesturday by jacqueline at the new elements spa in the clayton Hotel. Very professional and I felt very relaxed and comfortable. Really looking forward to my next visit.

We picked this hotel because it had a pool but for some reason the pools tempature had been turned down recently… So the pool was freezing I mean so cold the Irish sea was warmer. Everything and I mean everything else was perfect. The staff were brilliant. Our room was spotless well done to the ladies cleaning the rooms because this very very clean. We had one evening meal on the Hotel and the food was lovely. The location to the Market and town and the train station was great now. A 10 min walk or a £5 taxi ride to get to places.

Booked for a night for my partners birthday and when we arrived we had been upgraded. Excellent friendly and helpful staff. Room was fantastic. We ate in the restaurant and food and service was excellent.

Great pool… But the most uncomfortable pillows I’ve ever encountered in a hotel and I’ve stayed in few over the years!

My Husband & I stayed here in May for our 10 Year Anniversary, Fantastic staff especially credit to Conor, they couldn't do enough for us, Rooms is fabulous, very clean and has everything you need, We also eat in the Hotel and the food was excellent, Highly recommended this Hotel, also right in the City centre, excellent location. Had a lovely night at the Clayton Hotel. Perfect Central location, chilled atmosphere and fantastic, friendly staff, especially a guy called Mark Burns (I think), who was so friendly and helpful and had us and our kids in stitches.

Brunch With Santa was brill — my 2 grandsons loved it. Very friendly staff (especially Michael and Connor). Service was great, brunch was delicious. We then got to watch a movie and could have gone to the pool for a swim (included in the price! ), unfortunately we didn’t have time. The boys loved Santa and their gifts. Wonderful experience at a reasonable price, thankyou.

Wee stayed here two nights and I could not believe the difference in this hotel compared to grand central. Walked in and the greeting was lovely … the room was lovely. They really couldn’t do enough…. The food was unreal. Got three course meal both nights, fast service and so tasty 👅… the two males serving food and drink where so nice, friendly and nothing was a bother … pleasantly surprised all around by the hotel … the pool area is lovely …

Was at the Miss International pageant last night and the service in the function room was absolutely appalling. We weren’t allowed to order from the bar and were supposed to have table service which was non existent. It took two hours to get half — filled plastic cups of a limited menu of flat beer or flat soft drinks for which we were charged an exorbitant price. There was a young child in the pageant whose parents hadn’t been able to get anything to eat for her before she went on stage even though they were booked into the hotel for the night. They had travelled a long way and the child hadn’t eaten for hours. So disappointed with what should have been an enjoyable family evening.

Great location and friendly staff. We stayed in July was very hot weather air conditioning was not working in room very hot. Restaurant and bar was struggling to cope with volume of hotel guests. We had made a reservation for dinner but due to system issues they could not accommodate us. Bar was same very understaffed so waiting time to get served was too long. This definitely needs addressed to insure guests will return. Pool facilities was great.

Staff was mostly friendly, I think they are to busy for what they can cope with but the room was lovely and bed was cosy only downfall was the noise outside at night was horrible to try and sleep with a child from the night club cross the road food was good.

We attended the Santa Sunday today and from the moment we arrived it was brilliant. The staff were all absolutely lovely, given what we are going through at the minute this is no easy task.
The set up and lay out was fantastic, it didn't ever feel over crowded in any way. The food was absolutely delicious too.
I would love to come back under normal circumstances and have a meal and drink. Thanks to all involved, we loved it.

Staff were nice and friendly especially our waiter. Our room was very basic though, no slippers, no bottles of water and very basic toiletries. The food wasn't great either, it wasn't really up to scratch for a 4 star hotel. Our breakfast wasnt the best either.

We came here for our daughters 6 th birthday, we had a fabulous time from start to finish, the staff at this hotel are worth their Weight in gold, from the reception staff through to restaurant staff never have I met as friendly efficient and attentive staff, they went above and beyond delivered Tara’s cake to table gave her a lovely goody bag can not thank yous enough for your absolutely top class service, rooms were immaculate and food was beautiful, we most definitely will be back, well done and thank you very much.

Love this hotel too stayed in it twice now with my partner I usually don’t go anywhere else but now I think the maldron hotel is brilliant aswell, but the Clayton is always so clean and staff are always friendly and welcoming.

We had a brilliant time on Saturday night Cocktail making as part of my daughter's Hen party celebrations. The fella looking after us was so friendly. Lovely service, lovely food, lovely atmosphere. Thanks guys!

Amazing staff would love to stay here again didn't want to go home today the pool was amazing if you were to do a competition for an overnight stay or 2 I would enter it as I would come back again, me and the fiance love this hotel, food is amazing too thank you so much for everything.

Didn’t meet any of my expectations for the price of it, and I travel a lot. Booked 3 nights stay in what’s was advertised as a luxury room. Room was dark small and dirty. Staff was unpleasant at the reception. Menu at the restaurant was very poor as well. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Especially someone who is looking to relax in a nice environment. Dull depressing and expensive.

Had my daughter wedding there on Saturday 4th may (star wars day) thanks to Courtney and Gary the wedding coordinator amazing food complements to the chef staff was absolutely brilliant could not of had a better day thank you all for making it a great day Lorraine and William drumgoole.

Staff are so friendly and hospitable and the hotel is in a great location. Would highly recommend.

Pros : •5-10 Minutes walk to Victoria square, st. George market. •Very nice breakfast! Probably the best breakfast in Ireland (North& South) The lady who served us (Libby) Was very lovely. •£4-£6 Taxi to Titanic museum, W5 Odyssey (Recommended for kids! Its science & Discovery centre. Could spend all day there, Fun with education) •Many nice restaurants around •swimming pool, sauna, steamroom, jacuzzi (My son love it! We spent our morning there before exploring the city later) Cons: •No free car parking! •No robe, slippers in the room.

Expensive for what it is. Nearly clean rooms. No fridge. Good shower and comfortable beds. The gym is well appointed. A decent breakfast but all the food is in a very small area which is a nightmare when busy. Reception staff were good. Restaurant staff slow to clear tables so you end up putting used crockery on clean tables, which I hate doing. This then took a further 10 minutes to be collected when a staff member was probably 10ft away.

Met some friends here who were staying. We had a few drinks and some dinner down in the bar. The food was very nice. The hotel looked very busy with people coming and going and tour buses letting off passengers. But, it is very close to the city centre, so, I can understand why it's popular. It was actually quite nice sitting down near the bar.

The hotel was absolutely amazing from start to finish. We were greeted by a very pleasant receptionist who was very informative of all the details including spa, pool and breakfast.
We had a Executive Room on the top floor. The room was a great size and very comfortable and clean. Bathroom was also a good size with a great shower too.
The breakfast was absolutely beautiful and a great spread too. Everything was fresh and hot and the coffee was served very prompt.
We eat lunch too and that was lovely too.
The pool facilities were also excellent, staff were very help and the pool was very clean.
We had 2 issues with our room 1 with the TV remote and the other with the air conditioning! A quick call to reception and the issues were sorted within 15 minutes.
Nothing was a problem for any of the staff.
It really was a pleasure to stay with You and we will be returning.

We really enjoyed my stay on Saturday 21st July for a hen party. The staff done everything to make are stay enjoyable and we felt well taken care off. We done the cocktail making class and Paul who took the class was amazing and we went out to dinner in the restaurant and the boy mark was also amazing very funny and Katie at the front desk was 5 star. I will definitely stay again and recommend the hotel. Thank you.

Stayed for an overnight stay last night for my other half’s birthday & we can’t fault the hotel at all, Andrew the receptionist was very friendly and made us feel welcome, we were then upgraded to an executive suite of which within 10 minutes of arriving we received a bottle of wine & birthday card from the hotel, made use of the spa facilities which were very clean & the bar was very relaxed, was great to see the pool is also family friendly we will be back with our little boy to stay again.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Bed & Breakfast. Rooms very clean and comfy. Breakfast was nice. Bar snack menu in bar very good. Reasonable priced. Great location and friendly staff. Had a massage which was great. Would highly recommend and would stay again.

Hotel is in a great location, near to all shops, pubs, restaurants and public transport. The staff where very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and kitted out with everything you need including a mini fridge (bonus points). We used the pool, Jacuzzi etc again all kept very clean. The bar area was very relaxing. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Will try out the spa next time, prices were reasonable just didn't have the time.

This was a great HOTEL in every way. Service was impeccable, room and beds were most comfortable. The location was excellently placed near centre but not noisy. Bars and restaurants close by — and hotel has a great indoor swimming pool.

I have stayed many times at this hotel. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. Lovely range of complimentary toiletries provided. Just makes staying in Belfast all that better.

Fantastic location in City Centre within short distance to many bars and restaurants which are great for a night out. I was here for a conference and the facilities were exactly what we needed, the staff on the dedicated conference floor could not do enough for you and made the conference run smoothly. The staff in the hotel were so helpful and friendly and gave good advice on the best places to go. Everyone had a smile on their face. The pool and gym was a great bonus for my stay. I have to say I highly recommend this hotel and will def stay again in the future. I cant give better than a five but would if I could.

My sister and I stayed the day before her wedding. Check in is 3pm. We were able to leave our bags with reception at 12, use the pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi before having a massage at Spa revive. We then visited Mark Nesbitt hair salon for a blow dry. After check in we had a bite to eat in the lovely coffee shop. Every person we met in the hotel, spa and hairdressers were genuinely so lovely. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The amenities are first class and there is everything you need for a wonderful pamper day. Well done!

Friendly staff both in the restaurant and reception. Nice pool and gym area with steam room and sauna. Pool is very suitable for families. The only problem I've had is the quality of the whfi in the bedroom little or no service at all.

I booked this hotel for 17 hens, the staff were really friendly and the breakfast was delicious. The rooms were to a high standard and very clean. There was a good reception/bar area which was perfect for our large group to meet and have a few drinks.

Great beds. Very comfortable. Restaurant a little slow on service. Reception were lovely. Windows might need replacing. Mine was taped up at the seams… odd.

Went to the Clayton on two consecutive days for two different meetings. Had the opportunity to try out two very different meeting rooms; one was perfect for a small boardroom style meeting, the second was able to host in excess of 300. Both occasions the in house staff were able to meet the relevant scenarios with aplomb. Would definitely use them again. Happy to say too that the hotel was happy for the organisers to make use of the spa and swimming pool. Happy days!

Great gym with swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Also a little jacuzzi as well. The hotel is in the heart of Belfast so only a few minutes walk to shops and bus/ railway stations. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Food here is reasonably priced too.

The location of the hotel is really good as very close from the city center. The staff is nice and the bar on the ground floor is comfortable. The only problem are the rooms, mine was one for disabled people not clean and facing a wall by the window. I asked to be changed but the hotel was fully booked this night. For sure not the case the second night. Those rooms should not be given to guests. Room not clean, bathroom dirty with stains on the sink, on the floor and holes in the towels, stains on the sheets. Clayton should definitely review the cleanliness of the room and refurbish some of them. For 140€ a night this is not the standards of a 4 stars. The room was depressing. No light coming from the outside. Breakfast in the morning had nothing special and quality was not really good. Only good thing was the nice view of the street and the kindness of the staff. I do not recommend the place.

Stayed for one night. Booked an executive room at a higher price but was given a basic twin room and told it had been renovated to the standard of an executive room. The twin room had no light cover on the ceiling, a hole cut in the wall and no shower curtain so asked to be moved to a proper executive room which is paid for. Much better room but for the same price I've stayed at the Europa with free cocktails on arrival and a much higher standard of room. Very disappointed.

Great location handy to city centre, stayed here a few times starting to look a bit jaded, socket in reception was lose and crooked, trim in on one of the lifts was broken and looked bad, mastic around jacuzzi black and dirty looking. Also badly informed about limited opening of pool on Boxing Day. Only open 10am to 4pm which Sounds great, but check in is from 3pm so doesn’t give you much chance to check in, drop your bags in room, change and get to pool before 4pm staff were friendly and helpful barring the disappointment of the pool we enjoyed our stay just nit picking a bit.

I visited the Clayton hotel on Friday 15th December for Christmas lunch. It was absolutely fantastic; the food was terrific and. Very reasonably priced. The best part was the service particularly from two older waitresses who couldn't do enough to make sure we were well looked after. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant. I believe the restaurant is to be refurbished soon although it is in excellent decorative order.

Reliable, clean hotel. Comfortable bed, lovely staff, good restaurant, and very good swimming and workout facilities. This is my second time staying here and I would come back again. I did have to request some things that I didn't have to last time, such as a robe in my room. But they are doing some refurbishment, so that may be why.

Very nice hotel. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Breakfast had a wide variety to choose from. Staff were efficient and friendly. Pity you don't own your own car park. Very close proximity to everywhere. Definitely recommend to stay here.

Friendly staff, good breakfast selection (porridge/cereal/fruit/toast) and generally well kept. Rooms are nicely appointed, with shampoo and shower gel supplied. Beds comfortable. Wi-Fi available but the free one is very slow — good enough for email not film. Gym also available with swimming pool and sauna.

Just stayed here for a weekend break in Belfast for my girlfriends birthday.

This amazing customer service continued throughout our stay, this included the guys at reception, who answered all our questions and were able to give us advice and timings of transport, at the spa where my girlfriend had a treatment which also includes the pool and gym that were both clean and well maintained, the staff in the resteraunt and bar, even the chamber maids were friendly and happy to help.
Room was clean, everything worked and bed was super comfortable. Hotel location is near perfectly placed in the centre and made an easy 10-15 minute walk to many of the attractions. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone.

Lovely staff and great location. Ideal for concerts at the Limelight. We found the bed to be too soft, but we understand that bed stiffness is very individual. Bathroom is a bit dated (probably 2-3 star max. ) and there were milk stains at the bottom of the glass in the room. All in all hotel was good.

This hotel is well placed for bus and train services, including the airport bus. We were fortunate to have a room on the 7th floor where everything has been recently refurbished. It was also nice and quiet there being on the top floor. Good choice on the menu both for dinner and in the bar area. We much enjoyed the swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna. All staff friendly and polite and helpful. Will definitely stay at the Clayton again.

The bedrooms are terrible and not worth the money that I paid. I requested 3 rooms close together and got them 3 floors apart! I requested early check in but didn't get it! No mattress cover on a soft, uncomfortable bed, room dingy and cold, tatty bathroom, only 2 tea bags — these weren't replenished on the Friday, heating far too noisy and the most ridiculous window blinds! The list goes on! Desperately in need of refurbishment. I have stayed in hotels at less than half the price that were better than this! I can't believe that I will ever stay in a Clayton Hotel again! However I must say that most of the staff that we encountered were excellent!

Large hotel with a small lobby for directly connected restaurant. In the lobby, it often smells like food. Rooms are the lowest drawer mattresses, rooms used and air conditioning too noisy. Should be modernized. Far too expensive for the location and quality of the rooms even for a capital city.

What makes this Hotel is the staff. Professional, courteous, helpful and friendly, I could not fault them. The room was comfortable and everything I needed was available. I was impressed that there was a laundry service if required. The only criticism I would have is the cooked breakfast, it was cold and the coffee followed suit. However, I had a brilliant dinner experience. It is important to me to feel safe and secure when away from home and this hotel provided that. I would certainly stay here again.

Availed of the Sunday Duvet Day. Great pizza and popcorn. Room was great. Stayed in the executive room on 7th floor. Had the breakfast in bed which was excellent. Without doubt it is the staff that made the experience so memorable. Every member of staff I encountered was both friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again.

Loved it! The hotel was close enough to everything. The room was a great size. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was well worth the money and the breakfast/dinning room is so nice to sit and watch the world going by with its large window frontage. The hotel is in a great location, with lots of places to visit and see, all only a short walk away. The hotel is beautiful, the furnishings all were lovely, and the room was spacious and beautiful. Beds were so soft and comfy, had a great night's rest! The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. One small negative aspect is there seems to be a lack of communication among staff. On the day of our check out, although I informed staff we would check out late, it wasn't relayed to other staff members. We were called by the front desk every few minutes to ask when we would check out, and each time when we said that we would be checking out late, the member of staff who had called us would apologise and say that information wasn't relayed to them. A few times while getting ready to check out in our room, staff members kept opening our door and walked in on us, as they hadn't been told we would check out later. So that was a little frustrating as we were getting changed or showering, we felt our privacy was a bit invaded… but overall it wasn't too big of an issue. Everybody was friendly and apologetic about the situation so it was fine in the end. Great night's stay, would definitely visit again!

Saw this hotel on my last trip to Belfast and decided next time I visit I was going to stay here, I wasn't disappointed, staff were friendly and helpful, check in and out was quick, breakfast was included in our room rate and offered a good selection of both hot and cold food, the location of the hotel is excellent, bars and clubs around the corner and the main shopping parts of the city within a few minutes walk, the room was spacious and the bed simply amazing. The ONLY downside of the room was the carpet, the hotel has its own gym, pool, spa and we made good use of these during our stay. Over all a lovely hotel and one we will def use again on our next visit to Belfast.

The Clayton is comfortable, well situated and has an excellent spa facility. However, the best asset the hotel has is its staff. Somehow they mange to be friendly, helpful and attentive without being intrusive. The Clayton is a blended package that results in adding enjoyment to the overall visit to Belfast. Would I stay there again? Absolutely YES!

Exceptional! The Clayton Belfast is in my opinion the very BEST hotel in the world. I've travelled quite a bit & stayed in all types of accomodation and NO where matches the Clayton Belfast. All of the reception staff are literal heroes with outstanding people skills — incredible — go out of their way to make you feel highly comfortable, at ease and treated like royalty. Every aspect from the impeccably clean rooms to a perfect cup of tea is executed with class and brilliance. The ultimate location to scope the best of Belfast. I always feel confident that my stay will be amazing and it ALWAYS is brilliant. Thank you Clayton Belfast.

We came in on a rainy, overcast day. The staff was bright and cheerful. The room was great and the dining was really nice. We had breakfast both days and it was great. The waitstaff on the first evening was not attentive and it took a bit of time to get our check. The food was great, though.

Staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly, the leisure facilities were absolutely spot on, breakfast was decent with a great selection, however the room I stayed at was not ideal. It was designed to be differently able friendly which was not to my tastes, the shower room was designed like a wet room with no shower tray (for access reasons). I couldn't help but think taking a shower where the water could reach the Base of the toilet, which sadly made my stomach turn, and as such had to shower at the leisure facilities. Little touches such as biscuits with the tea/coffee would go a long way, however all in all the place was alright and would stay here again if it was a different room or the showering facilities separate from the toilet. The beds were also big and comfy, and to be fair was a good night's sleep to be had here.

Enjoyed a pleasant stay at the Clayton in Belfast on a weekend break with the family. Friendly staff, well appointed rooms, good leisure facilities and nice breakfast are some of the things we enjoyed about this hotel. The only negative for me was the cost of parking as the hotel does not have it's own parking facilities. Parking can be found easily around the hotel but adds to the cost of your stay. Although this is discounted by the hotel, it is still something you need to factor into your budget.

Lovely time in belfast staff were great very helpful the leisure center needs a makeover very tired looking. The room was clean but a bit shabby would definitely go back if it got a lick of paint.

We stayed 3 nights. Within 24 hours I had complained : 1. One towel in room when 2 people 2. Room not made up at 4pm. 3. No Wireless internet in room 4. Nobody answers telephone in reception 5. The bath paneling in room 436 is in terrible state and needs replacing Whilst each of the above are minor, collectively in 24 hours is unnacceptale.

Formerly the Holiday Inn, the Clayton retains its friendly and helpful staff. It is an excellent city-centre location and very convenient for Great Victoria Street and the University.

I booked this hotel expecting it to have been improved since it was the Holiday Inn but the rooms are the same tired rooms. The bed was the most uncomfortable I ever used and I stay in over 50 Hotels per year! That coupled with the noise from the Pub/Club across the road made for a sleepless night. The Hotel staff were lovely and very helpful. Your food offering lacks anything for gluten or dairy intolerant people. The Spa staff were not good. We booked two sessions with the Reflexologist — Edmond or Aidan was his name. He turned up 25 minutes late and as a result we couldn't take the appointments. He was not a bit apologetic. On the contrary he was quite aggressive and insulting. To say I was shocked is an understatement! You have this guy advertised on your website! Extremely unprofessional. Would I stay here again? I doubt it. Would I recommend it? No!

Stayed here for a few months on business. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good gym and swimming pool with sauna. Breakfast is good and varied. Rooms are really nice and large with the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Some of the back rooms do not get phone reception, but the staff will happily move you if you require signal.

Located within walking distance of europa bus/train station. Room was comfortable, staff were courteous and breakfast was delicious. The only problem we had was that there was no room for us to store our luggage after we'd checked out. A shame, but not a deal breaker. Great value for money.

Stayed on top floor it was very hot and the air conditioning just blew more hot air. They over charged my credit card but refunded me when I raised the issue. Someone set the fire alarm of on the second night which sucked. Food was OK. Service was good and gym/pool was very good 180 quid for 2 nights good value considering central city location.

28 for the movie package. They never seem to refurbish 100% of these old hotels so despite some improvements of the original building the old always pokes through. The fitness centre whilst ok showed significant signs of wear.

Good hotel. Good service. The only point is that it has no parking and you should go to one near public.

Our room was great. The bed was nice and the front desk told us to goto Filthy McNasty and The Hudson which were both great choices.

The staff are fantastic and make staying here so great.
