I stayed here for two nights, while visiting Edinburgh, and it was really pleasant. The room that we stayed, which was for three people, was really comfortable and clean, with a private bathroom. The breakfast, that is included, is great, with different types of bread, yogurt, fruit, tea, coffee, juice, cereals, croissants and eggs. The beds are really comfortable, and the rooms are warm, with heaters. The bathroom, although small, have a great shower. Loved the view, to the Arthur's Seat. It is really fantastic. The owners are nice and really helpful, they helped us with some informations about the city and they were always concern about our own comfort. If I ever come back to Edinburgh, I will look for this place! Totally recommend it.

Me and my partner stayed here for one night and it was such a clean and homely place the views were amazing from the bedroom window also was perfect location for Mao bus routes to Edinburgh can't wait for the start if October we will be back to stay for a full weekend this time thank you Duncan for welcoming us into your guest house.

Doug and Jill are some of the most gracious and kind hosts one could ever find in Scotland. My room had a striking view of "Arthur's Seat", a peak offering a magnificent view of Edinburgh, and graced with comfortable beds and a clean and tidy bathroom. Jill treats her guests as family with a warm smile and constant concern for their comfort. Doug is a friendly and warm Scot host with an encyclopedic knowledge of Scottish history. He is always happy to answer a guest's questions about his country's history past and present. Kilmaurs Rd. Is a quiet residential street close to a bus stop that will take you to the city center, as well as to pubs with reasonably priced great food and a full selection of the most favorite Scottish beverages. I will be returning to Scotland and am looking forward to the McLennan's superb, reasonably priced hospitality.

My husband and I and two other people stayed here in late August, early Sept this year. We loved the homey feel and the warmth and friendliness Jill and Douglas showed us. For a person like me, who loves to walk, it was a pleasant stroll to the city center and very near the lovely climb to Arthur's Seat.
