Pretty tired looking now, bedrooms are a bit tatty and the mattresses are like sleeping on a trampoline they are that soft. Breakfast is ok and for the price paid for the night you can't really expect much.

Location was ideal for the event we were attending. Staff were pleasant, room was clean. We did not eat there so can't comment about the food or service.

Step up from basic — comfortable bed, nice big shower and tea/coffee provided. Extra pillows as requested were already in room — friendly welcome and good service. Only downside in the hotel is that only 2 towels provided — could do with at least one towel for drying hands or for drying hair (long hair needs it) ; towels are also feeling a bit worn. Last downside, which is not the hotel's fault, is the rather noisy groups passing by in the early hours of the morning.

Good space. Not prepared for big crowds. With no notice "can't enter with backpack" despite travelling from another country. Also only one cash point.

Meals are good but breakfast can be a bit hit or miss… last week the night manager cooking the food was a real moan… obviously Nightshift isn't his favourite shift but least he could do was crack a smile through gritted teeth and at least try to welcome you. This morning I'm back up here again… and it's a new Nightshift guy on and he's chirpy and cheery and welcoming… maybe last weeks guy could do with a few lessons of him?

Went to see Paloma faith. She was fantastic and the venue did the trick. Maybe a little more spensive for what you get but hey ho.

Handy place to stay if going to AECC room's abit in need of refurbished but clean enough for short stay breakfast 6/10 staff great and helpful.

Fantastic as usual — beautiful suite of rooms last night staff so friendly and helpful best hotel in the whole of Scotland — well done Holiday Inn.

Quite modern place and deco, even though I believe the building is quite old. Restaurant is ok as well, good for something simple.

It is a beautiful memorial garden that I personally love visiting often! It is beautifully designed and kept to high standards. I find it secluding and relaxing. The only sad thing is some people really don't deserve it and disrespect it. I was always a big believer that only well-behaved dogs should be allowed off the leash in public gardens. Some pet owners can be so ignorant letting their dogs run free, dog holes and defecate on the flower plots. I see it happen too often and it is upsetting (I am a dog owner myself and most certain not support this kind of behaviour).

This is a lovely hotel. Very stylish. Great location. Staff are very friendly and always ready to help. Would definitely stay here again.

This place doesn't get very good reviews but for my one night stay the staff were lovely, the room, whilst old style, was clean and comfortable and it was a lovely breakfast. There is still plastic sheeting up and it's a limited food menu so they do need to sort that out but it wasn't nearly as bad an experience as I had thought it would be from other reviews.

Staff were great over the Chrotms break. Santa even popped in and left a stocking outside our door on Christmas day. Otherwise a clem, if basic, hotel.

This hotel has gone into administration and has become neglected as the refurbishment has halted. The main restaurant is closed off and breakfast is served in the foyer. The Quality of breakfast food was good but at no point were all choices available at the same time and the staff member questioned said there was nothing she could do about it. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and needed replacing. The staff member upon checkout was excellent and dealt with our complaints very professionally. Note to self next time book the Holiday Inn Express. Spire Elite Members.

Very clean, Zuvokommendes staff and hearty breakfast, what more would you like to get back.

Good location but maybe not so much when the concerts move to new location. Not been in a room. Nothing to complain about drinks service.

Stayed there just the one night so can't comment on all aspects of the hotel, but staff were friendly and helpful, the room generally in good condition and with a TV, very nice bathroom etc. Breakfast was one of those buffet deals with cold cereals, fruit, tea, coffee and so on. One thing I particularly liked was the parking, which was directly accessible from the road. It's underground parking but without the endless driving into the parking space you get in most such places, and the stairs to reception right there. In short, a nice place for short stays. Not a fancy hotel and probably not one to use as a holiday destination in its own right, but if you're looking for a place to lay your head, you won't be disappointed here.

The standard Holiday Inn is not discussed.

Great rates. Situated on the door step of the exhibition centre. Friendly staff and clean rooms.

Tv is very out of date very minimal channels go into most premier inn and all TVs are 42" free view with multiple channels to chose from on the positive note this hotel has smoking rooms which is an added bonus.

Friendly staff. Clean and feel like a clean hotel. Free parking for guest. Great breakfast.

Great staff very helpful rooms contain sound well do not hear noisy neighbors close to bus routes and close to the exhibition centre.

Decent digs. Nice enough rooms. Ask for front facing view. Never ate in hotel but there's a decent boozer about 15 mins walk. Good prices and grub.

Clean room. Friendly staff but found the reception and bar area a little quiet. Snacks on offer but no real food unless you wanted to order a takeaway.

This is on the wrong place on the map, it's right next to the Holiday Inn Express, not further up the road. This Holiday Inn is reasonable sized with a bar and restaurant area which wasn't too busy in the evenings and at breakfast time. Room was comfortable and quiet with plenty of room, towels and pillows. My only gripe was the lighting — lots of lamps may be gentler on the eyes but it meant that putting on makeup without getting a clown face was difficult! Also had one of those annoying hotel hairdryers where you have to keep the button pressed down as you dry your hair. Breakfast was a buffet with hot and cold options and was tasty enough. The restaurant/bar food is pretty overpriced — perhaps becuase there's nothing else close by and people are likely to be getting it reimbursed by work — but I had a very tasty burger.

Eine Generalüberholung wäre mal angebracht.
