Great hotel. High standard of accommodation, food and service.

We had a great stay at the Mariott with Executive Suite Access. Room was great although could do with some refurbishment to bring it up to date. Staff where pleasant, cheerful and attentive throughout. Will definitely return.

Use the hotel when on business & family visits to Glasgow. Friendly staff, close to city centre and airport with excellent motorway access. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was amazing! The hotel is in a great location and we did have a nice room with a great view but unfortunate the bed was hard and almost felt like it was made of layers of paper. Also the hotel bar wouldn’t serve us past midnight unless we ok’d this with the front desk which was really odd! As well I wasn’t allowed to pay for the room (for just one night) on my watch or phone. So remember your card passcode before you go if you don’t have cash! A bit old fashioned I’d say. The world has gone wireless and the Marriot needs to get with the times! The meal for The Scottish Wedding Awards that I attended was absolutely horrible! Black pudding in leak and potato soup, a very dry and rubbery chicken breast with beef gravy and some mango dessert that tasted like body lotion. Such a shame as the breakfast was outstanding!

Visited yesterday for a lunch and spa treatment to celebrate my 50th. Massive thanks to Craig and Chloe for fantastic service and making my birthday much more special 🎉

Stayed here for 3 days. Here’s my a experience:
Great central location. Check in was nice and efficient. Room was a little dated however still clean and had everything we needed. Beds were comfy. Air con worked but was a bit noisy so didn’t have it on too long. Paper cups were provided for the tea and coffee. Hair drier on wall didn’t work however I phoned reception and they swiftly had someone come up with a replacement which was great. Here’s the negatives:
You have to book the pool which I didn’t know in advance. My children were excited to go in the pool once we arrived however was told by the receptionist that I needed to book a slot. Unfortunately when I called, the pool was fully booked until Saturday (2 days after our first initial arrival) we managed to book a slot for the Saturday.
The lifts were a nightmare. Due to covid, you could not go in a lift with the same family. The amount of times, we sat waiting for a free lift was a pain. One time we stood for almost 20 minutes until a lift was free. In all honestly, the signs for the stairs were not very clear. I prefer to take stairs as we were on the 2nd level. We asked a staff member where the stairs were and her English wasn’t good. She didn’t understand what we were asking. We eventually found the stairs. I’m certain people (other visitors) could be using the stairs. I know it sounds horrible but some people are just pure lazy! When we checked out we had large bags and a suitcase.

Very friendly and helpful staff on reception and in the bar. Excellent food, although still a reduced menu st the moment.
The rooms are very clean but the decor and furniture needs modernisation.

The staff where very nice and friendly cannot fault them but the hotel is very dated and needs refurbishment. The stay was comfortable enough but we where extremely disappointed at breakfast. Due to Covid-19 your contenential breakfast should be delivered to your table after 45 minutes this still had not arrived at our table. We ended up leaving the restaurant with no drink what so ever with our breakfast. The hotel hot food was average too.

Great hotel friendly staff always made welcome. For me the best hotel I have stayed in Glasgow.

Just had a weekend break here, first time we have stayed in a Marriott. Lovely hotel with lovely rooms. Super big bed with great linen. We were on 7th floor, very quiet rooms. Staff were very friendly and helpful, both on reception and in the bar. Location great for shopping or concerts at Hydro and for visiting Kelvingrove. Had a lovely trip and would most certainly recommend this hotel.

Been here for staff conference and it was well organised and food laid in was very nice and lots of beautiful teas to pick from. Clean and bright and all facilities were clean and tidy.
I have not said in this hotel, but I would book in here. Staff were all nice. Not far from town centre, a very short walk along a flat road.

The hotel is nice — but of all the hotels I’ve stayed in across Ireland the last week this American owned hotel is the one that doesn’t have a gluten free breakfast area. They did bring me some toast so that was nice.

Close to the city centre and also the SSE. Great spot. Hotel was lovely and clean and the staff are very friendly especially in the bar and restaurant. Really enjoyed our stay and will recommend the hotel.

Hotel was what you would expect from a full service Marriott. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There closed cabinet for a fridge and it contains one but it's screwed shut. Strange that they wouldn't let people use them. No ice maker. Have to request ice to be brought up. Good location. Many things downtown are within a 15 minute walk. Ate at bar one night and food was good.

Really a nice hotel from the outside, but especially from the inside. It looks very classy and refined with very courteous and helpful staff. The food served looked pretty good and worthy of a good hotel, I ate in a self-service for European siners.

An excellent hotel with all the amenities you would want and expect in a major city hotel. The restaurant was outstanding and the lobby and bar area is very nice to be around in the evening. The location is perfect for access to the city center area and also very close to the major highways. Definitely will stay again.

Once again Glasgow Marriott Hotel and it's staff helped make my stay in Scotland so special. The staff in this hotel are superb. I would particularly like to mention the young concierge on the desk (Sunday 8th July 2018) nothing was too much trouble for this young gentlemen and I thank him for his recommendations and getting us to our destinations. Also Emma in the restaurant, a wonderfully warm and efficient person who quite simply made our day. To all the staff at the Marriott, in a world of hurried and sometimes completely forgotten courtesy and manners you are all outstanding in your customer service. Thank you.

I stayed at this hotel for about two weeks on a recent business trip. The lobby and common areas are sleek, but the guest rooms are a little dated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The platinum lounge is a little small and can get pretty crowded, the the hotel gym is fully equipped. I would stay at this hotel again. The one major downside is the fact that they charge 15GBP per day for parking. Worth taking into consideration if you’ll have a car.

Very nice rooms. Front desk was very helpful with several issues that came up. They will hold luggage, which is a great perk. The bed could have been softer, but I feel asleep very quickly anyway. Pretty good location — about a 10-15 minute walk to the downtown area.

Great stay. Comfy bed. Great facilities. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was varied and tasty. Close enough to walk to the centre of Glasgow and to the SEC or hydro for conferences or concerts.

Stayed here for one night with my husband and two sons to attend Fast and Furious Live at The Hydro. Great location — within walking distance to Hydro and city centre. Plenty of parking reasonably priced at £10 a day.
Hotel has a nice feel to it and staff are very friendly and efficient however the rooms are in need of an upgrade — they feel tired and dated. Did have a great nights sleep though — beds were very comfortable. Cleanliness was also very good
We used swimming pool and gym which we enjoyed but again both in need of a bit of a facelift.
Dinner in restaurant was good but expensive. Breakfast was very good with a great choice from buffet style selection… special mention to the breakfast waitress Muriel who was great with the kids!
Enjoyed our stay but this hotel needs some modernisation soon!

Located next to the M8, it is about a 15 minute walk into the city centre. Rooms fantastic. Breakfast buffet disappointing as the hot food not hot. Lots of choices mind. Taxis outside. Free Wi-Fi. Recommendation ask for high level floor bedroom. Nice bar area.

Pretty standard Marriott hotel. Rooms and bathroom are not small, large TV, room safe, but no fridge. Restaurant is not cheap and feed is average. Staff very helpful. Location is just off the motorway junction and easy 5 minute walk from the town centre and central station.

Good hotel overall. A little walk from central station. Proactively upgraded but preferences of late checkout not passed on from the mobile check-in on one stay but the other way around on another stay (no upgrade without having to ask but late checkout met). Lounge is nice, with a decent offering in the evening (hot meat, salad and cheese) and doesn't close during the weekend. Breakfast much better in the restaurant unless you have a very small appetite or want a quiet place. I've seen similar hotels with more choice at breakfast but all the essentials are there. Enhanced Wi-Fi is the usual 10mbps up/down. This isn't enough in 2018. Room was clean and quiet. Shower not good for tall people. Power ports by the bed are hidden behind the nightstand. Odd number are the ones with 2 double beds or superior kind room while the other are odd numbers (executive king + deluxe king).

Stayed here for one night for an event which was held in the hotel. Polite friendly staff very welcoming. Good food in the evening and the breakfast was pretty good too. Strange arrangement with the stairs if you’d prefer not to use the lift — when the leisure centre is open you can access the stairs that way (you have to go outside) but out of these hours you have to have a staff member escort you through a private staff only corridor… seems odd and would stop me staying there again.

I was here for 14 nights. I was not very lucky because my room, the 104 was close to the air conditioning machines so sometimes I had noise while sleeping. The breakfast was really good, you had many things to choose from, beans, salmon, sausages, … Eating there was also a pleasure, you could choose between the bar and the restaurant, depending on the time you had. Apart from that, it also has a gym and a pool, including sauna and Turkish bath so relaxing there was not a problem, was a chance.

This was our first time staying at a Marriot Hotel. The spa was great including the girls and staff in the whole hotel were great. The room was nice but all the lampshades were squint (very small point). The bathroom in our room and the pool area/spa were very poor compared to other hotels spa area, and there was no jacuzzi. The showers were full of black mould which I think is disgusting. The bar and eating areas were very nice but don’t think I would stay there again as there are nicer hotels in Glasgow.

The staff make the place! The food was excellent quality but not overpriced in a casual atmosphere. The customer service and warmth of personality of each staff made our stay over our anniversary that little bit more special. We will definitely return because of their extra efforts whether it was the smiles at reception to the amazing omelettes to the suggestions of a good drink, event, best way to walk etc. They were always on hand. A great team & management!

Excellent fitness suite and leisure complex. Water temperature was spot on. Steam room and sauna were very spacious. Lounging area about pool a bonus. Gym was well kitted out. Virtual running machines exceptional.

I booked a Thursday and Friday night here because of work, and I was very pleased with the hotel. I had a regular room. The room was all clean and well maintained, and several aspects were well designed. Disappointed that at least the face towel was not lint-free. The iron and board were clean and functioned well. Decor was all pleasant. Some minor quibbles: the bathroom mirror got steamed up if I kept the door closed when showering, and I think the front door was as capable of transmitting sound as hotels always seem to have — but luckily I had no noisy neighbours and got 2 good nights' sleep. I was in room 725. The lighting in the room was odd in that the bedside lamp was very bright. Elsewhere on the bureau there was a lamp which had more of the dimmed effect I would have wanted at the bedside lamp. My bed was OK, the pillows were a bit too plumped up for my liking. The shower had instructions! Great, using it was hassle-free. Staff were generally helpful, but I did not make many demands of them.

Great staff. Decor a bit dated. Rooms must have been designed by someone who doesn't sit to dry hair and put make up on as no mirror at dressing table. Carpets seriously need to be looked at.

Just A few minutes from the airport. Hotel Comodisimo and very clean.

This hotel is brilliant, would highly recommend it. Staff were very friendly and catered to every need you could think, even ironing your clothes! Food was fantastic, we had the breakfast buffet which was more than worth the £13 with how much of a selection there was and how fresh it tasted plus the room service food was brought up piping hot and was a good portion size though a tad expensive but that's to be expected. Only complaint was our toilet didn't always flush on the first go and we couldn't get a shower on the last day due to work being carried out on the water pipes without us being given any notice. All in all I would rate the Marriott very highly and we would gladly stay here again, only the toilet is stopping us from giving full 5 stars, so if you can afford to spend a little extra on your hotel I'd definitely choose the Marriott.

Really nice hotel in a great location. The breakfast was good, as was the bar in the evening. The staff were polite and helpful. Room was big and comfortable.

My wife, daughter and I stopped on this occasion. Previously been several times to this hotel over the years and have always stopped here with no complaints.
BUT. On this occasion we decided to eat in the cast iron bar and grill as a bit of a treat. A little more expensive than other alternatives. I ordered drinks and a bottle of Rosa wine, they brought the dearest one on the list at £35 a bottle compared to the other at £23 (my fault maybe for not asking the price) on top of this my wife ordered chicken and new potatoes. When the chicken came it was still uncooked pink with blood spots in it and my daughter ordered a burger and chips which was a dry as a bone consequently she left half of her meal, I got steak and a jacket potato witch was fine. The restaurant manager refunded the chicken meal and apologised. I left the restaurant £75 lighter for a very poor meal. We then sat in the lounge area and noticed all the takeaway food been delivered. We wish we had done the same. It spoiled our stay on this occasion and we will be reluctant to book again when we return later in the year. Breakfast was excellent as usual. Very disappointed with the restaurant meal. Staff were helpful and friendly as usual.

My husband and I booked the Marriott in Glasgow for 3 nights January. We had tickets to watch "The sound of Music" at the Kings Theatre as our 7 year old niece was in the show playing Gretel. Our room was very nice. Unfortunately our niece became ill on the train to Glasgow with her team and so we met her at the station and needed to take her to the hotel with us as she wasn't well enough to perform. The hotel were absolutely amazing, bringing balloons and treats to our room to cheer her up and also offering and providing a single bed for for the 2 nights we had left. Every single member of staff that we spoke to or served us were so polite and friendly and it made our stay, even after the disappointment, really good. I would only have good things to say about this hotel and its staff!

There's the pool and they give you a postcard to send to your house.

An overnight stay for a Christmas party night which was amazing food was hot and tasty great fun room clean and plenty of space felt one biscuit per room a bit stingy for 151 pound a night the beds were like concrete to the point of being painful to sleep on told it was because the mattresses are new pillows so soft they disappeared when you put your head on them overall a poor nights sleep breakfast very good.

In all fairness I don't do a ton of traveling in Europe so take this with a grain of salt. I am a simple guy and the main things I need in a hotel are cleanliness, a comfortable bed, decent shower and breakfast is always nice if included. The hotel was clean but very dated. The bed was atrocious, I barely slept. The shower was on a weird platform and when I got in my head was almost hitting the ceiling and I am average height. Of course with me only giving a two star breakfast wasn't included. There wad a restaurant in the very nice lobby. What annoyed me the most was you had to pay 4 Euro for 15 minutes of internet. They did wave the fee but for what I paid for that crummy room it should have been included. Not impressed, would not stay again if I had the choice.

The location is great, within 10 min walking from the very center of Glasgow. The rooms are quite basic and would benefit from a renovation. Clean and staff very polite and helpful.

Booked here for a hen party on 7th October. Hotel is nice enough but rooms are shabby looking. On checking in the reception staff tried to charge is an extra £60 more than the quoted price for the room. When questioned we were told it was for any 'extras' which we "might" use. We were then told if we didn't use those extras it would be refunded. Refused to pay the extra money and they took it off the payment. Otherwise the staff were lovely and as it was a hen party they gave us a bottle of prosecco for free. Do think it's a bit of a joke to charge for Wi-Fi considering a lot of other hotels offer it for free.

My husband arranged a spa break for me at the Glasgow Marriott for our first wedding anniversary. The staff at the spa and hotel were amazing, the room was clean and comfortable and lunch and breakfast were excellent! Highly recommended!

We are in the restaurant during an international football match combined with a packed hotel full with a sales conference, yet they still managed to serve a fantastic meal. Our waitress was fantastic too. Highly recommended.

Very nice and impressive facilities, very helpful and accommodating team. Food booked for the event wasn't labelled so quite difficult to tell what was suitable for dietary requirements, Cheesecake dessert was amazing though everything else was a risk. This was only thing letting it down ever so slightly.

Good location for anything central, professional but very amiable front desk, comfortable, clean spacious room. I didn't use any of the hotel's facilities so cannot comment on them. Overall, highly recommended.

Wonderful Marriott hotel located just 8 minutes walk from the central station and Buchanan street. Spacious rooms with the usual amenities — pool, gym, spa. Cozy lounge with Starbucks Coffee served. The only let downs were that there was no egg station at breakfast and the rooms did not have a refrigerator that we can use.

Stayed one night in a double room. Room is spacious for European standards. Everything worked well and staff was very friendly. Checkout was at noon, which made for a leisurely morning. Location is about ten minutes walk from the main train station. Parking was simple and affordable. My only caution is that the shower was somewhat short. The shower stall was only about 6' 5" tall, so if you're tall, you're going to be crouching the entire time. At 6' tall, it wasn't so bad.

2 night stay was just fine. Clean, spacious room; friendly staff; an actual parking lot for rental car. Check out really simple. Didn't get chance to use gym/pool area, but it looked quite large. Only 2 issues I had was price for breakfast ($15p per person seemed expensive for buffet) and no refrigerator in room.

Had an overnight stay here for my friends birthday and had fantastic service from the moment we arrived! Staff couldn't be any more helpful with a special thanks to Ryan (H). Definitely recommend and will return for sure.

Visitors often greeted with a cheery welcome on entry and the lobby is usually bustling with a wide variety of guests, Emirates cabin crew, or hotel housekeeping staff. Chats bar won Gold for Best Bar None recently, but has been re-named the Brew Bar. Service here is conducted with decorum by friendly approachable staff, just as in the refurbished Cast Iron Grill. Wide selection of gins and whiskies — try the taster sessions. Marriott Fitness, the leisure centre, offers a neat airy pool with lovely sauna and steam room and to complement the water therapy a drinking water fountain supplies deliciously chilled water, presumably from Loch Katrine? (Check! ) Private swimming lessons are available for all ages, as well as the popular well-structured swim babies classes. Members receive loyalty benefits, coffee mornings and free guest opportunities, and there is a new 'beauty' facility called Spa in the City for facials, massage and so on. Have not yet booked in for the night there but would like to. I'm sure I'd want to prolong the visit!

The hotel is quite nice but the receptionists look over-worked, the room service took an hour and the food choice at the starbucks isn't wide. Overall though I value cleanliness and overall atmosphere. That alone deserves 4 stars.

A very pleasant stay. The rooms were just the right size. A nice comfy bed and excellent bathroom facilities including full size bath. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends and will visit again.

Friendly staff, nicely decorated room and with usual facilities. There is Wi-Fi available although it does cut out frequently. Be mindful of the restaurant opening times as it's closed on Sundays and sometimes it's gutted out so not available for other hotel guests.

The reception and dining/bar area are nice and spacious, the staff courteous and attentive. The rooms are basic and comfortable. What let's the rating down is the food. It is clear that the budget has been cut and quality of food is very basic for the price you pay. The food is that of a basic home cooked effort with poor quality ingredients to bulk out the stuff that really matters, not that of a a professional cook/chef. Breakfast not much better either I'm afraid. However, this is a personal opinion but one seemed to be shared by other guests we shared taxis with. Will probably choose elsewhere to stay next time.

Booked a short overnighter in Glasgow for dining and shopping. Great deal on the Marriott for all five of us (three children) Good sized room, clean, and comfy beds. Shower handle fell off, but otherwise good standards. No free Wi-Fi and a £9 charge for parking is a bit disappointing. Although I believe if you book direct this may be different. Used leisure facilities too, which was doable due to late 12noon check out.

What a lovely entrance to the hotel. Inside and outside. All the staff were very friendly. Rooms with two double beds and bathroom spotless. View overlooking the front was lovely. No noise either. Loved the colour of the curtains. My husband, daughter and myself were late on getting down to breakfast (due to me thinking breakfast was up to 11am, but it was 10.30 finish. Was sure we would not get anything, but the staff pulled out all the stops and served us three full Scottish breakfast. What a shock. Not many hotels would do that. Breakfast was beautiful. Made sure we were down at the correct time the following morning. Great service again. Nice smiley faces all over. Only one very small complaint but the black pudding on the two breakfast was brick hard. Could not get our knives through. What a shame, so looking forward to my black pudding. Hopefully we will be back one day. Thank you all once again. A very happy family. Xx.

Lovely room, was greeted warmly by reception with some mulled wine. Didn't have a chance to fully experience the hotel as was only passing through for business but would recommend staying again.

Beautiful hotel. From the magnificent lobby to the views over the city, I really enjoyed my stay here. Room service was excellent with friendly staff, the bed was comfortable, the room was warm, clean and quiet, and the shower was excellent with plenty of hot water.

Rooms might look a bit 'dated' but would stay there again. Breakfast is a highlight and worth paying for. Very broad selection, tasty food.

Staff are very friendly throughout the hotel. Good amenities in the hotel as well, such as the bar and gym. Rooms always good quality and quiet. Well serviced too.

Well located and appealing design in the common areas, clean and tidy overall impression, however there were not enough towels for everybody. To me it seemed, that the hotel doesn`t expect four people to sleep and shower in a room, that is meant for four paying guests. Also the room was rather small for two double beds. Parking and WLAN was not included and was rather pricy. I stayed at another property in Glasgow for the preceding week, that had a less prestigious name, and was happier as a customer, than at the Marriott.

Excellent service in all areas. Room was nice. Price was a bit high for location.
