My daughter and I where back at the spa yesterday the service was amazing, Rebecca and her team couldn’t have done anymore to make us feel welcome, I got a deep tissue massage off Amanda and it was brilliant a tad sore today but defo worth it 💚 highly recommend this spa for a great chill out and the treatments are brilliant we can’t wait to book our next visit 💚

Never really leave reviews but really felt the need to on this occasion. We have just checked out after staying for three nights and whilst the location and the hotel itself are beautiful, I genuinely believe Mar Hall are missing a trick. In my opinion this hotel is not of 5 star quality, prices are but service is diabolical, I am sorry I didn’t get names but the bar staff are very unprofessional and in my opinion untrained. They are totally oblivious to the guest, they are not attentive and are unaware of which drink goes with what glass. We received gin in a wine glass, gin in a whiskey glass and brandy in orange juice glass!
This may sound trivial but our three night break was not shy of £1400
Every night we left the bar area early because very seldom did anyone come and ask you did you want another drink! (we had two drinks both nights) There was one guy (from his accent he appeared to be Liverpool possibly) he was fantastic, professional and a credit to your hotel, but unfortunately the rest need a good manager to direct them and advise them including the new guy who was just appointed this week and didn’t know you served Brandy in a brandy glass!
On Wednesday afternoon a blond haired lady, who appeared to be in a position of authority noticed myself and my wife in the lobby and asked us could she help, I genuinely believe she noticed the lack of service from the staff.

My best friend and her fiancé booked their wedding here but unfortunately due to Covid restrictions they decided to cancel for obvious reasons! Marr Hall have unfortunately just any fobbed off or ignored any attempt by them to refund them money they paid. They have tried reaching up the chain of the hotel to try and get some answers but unfortunately it would appear that the hotel is unable to offer basic customer service at the moment. Absolutely unbelievable!

Didn’t really want to have to turn to social media but I am seriously out of ideas on how to get this venue to answer my emails. We cancelled our wedding back in September due to Covid and we are still to receive our refund. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from management — David the manager, whom I have contacted numerous times now (as has my fiance), fails to reply to any of my emails. Been 4 months now and I’m getting more and more angry. Get it sorted Mar Hall, this isn’t going away and if I don’t receive my refund soon I’m taking legal action.

Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional conduct from Mar Hall. I see I'm not the only one in a situation where Mar Hall is using stalling tactics to give a refund. The communication is terrible. They don't reply in a timely manner. When they do reply, it's with stalling tactics. The attention to detail is appalling. Considering the wedding date came and passed with 0 contact. Definitely do not recommend during Covid or post Covid. They've shown the rotten underbelly unfortunately.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel! I had a voucher purchased directly from the hotel for dinner, bed and breakfast, which was not cheap but I thought would be worth it. Our room was quite frankly filthy. Pictures attached. Cobwebs and old tea stains on the fire place, dirty tea cup, windows so dirty you couldn’t see out of. We were moved to another room which was much better! On checking my credit card today they have charged my card £87.50 for dinner which I have already paid for when the voucher was purchased! Definitely not a first class service! There are much better hotels to spend your hard earned money on!

very disappointed with the pool. For a hotel and spa resort you would expect to have steps in and not just ladders, also no jacuzzi. No showers to wash your hair, was told it was because of COVID-19… I work in lesuire and you can have showers. Positive things are the staff and treatments, the negatives are pool and lack of amenities. Definitely not worth what we paid.

Lovely welcome from the staff at Mar Hall Spa & Leisure for me & my daughter for a last minute wee pamper day. We were fortunate to get a cancellation. We both had a couple of treatments which were amazing. Spa Facilities were really good and we thoroughly enjoyed our day. Thank you xx.

We had the tasting menu there and it was delicious. The team were very attentive and made us feel very well looked after. The taste menu was absolutely lovely ranging from ravioli to fish and panna cotta. A lovely 50th birthday present.

Had a great 2 night stay here, lovely location, staff very welcoming and very helpful, great place for couples or families, food excellent, and great choice for breakfast, would highly recommend this hotel.

We had the most dreamy weekend away with our little one at Mar Hall. We love everything about this hotel — a room overlooking the Clyde and hilltops on the other side, super friendly staff who were wonderful with our toddler, huge luxurious bath, amazing pool to splash about in, and fabulous breakfast. So close into town, an easy dash in the car over to Loch Lomand, and the most stunning building to stay in. We can't wait to come back.

Tasty lunch, lovely staff in the spa and main hotel and to finish the day a fab scone in the lounge before heading home.

Love any spa days I have here. Therapists are always so nice and very good at their job.

We had our wedding at Mar Hall in May and it was like a dream! Everything was perfect! Rachel our wedding coordinator was amazing! She was so helpful and kind. Cathy. Absolutely first class. We arrived on Friday afternoon for an afternoon tea and then checked in for an overnight. Nothing was too much, without a doubt, the best service we have received in any hotel or restaurant in the uk, the service is excellent! All food was fantastic and gym and leisure facilities also great. We will definitely return to stay again.

We booked our wedding 3 years ago at the beautiful Mar Hall and it exceeded all our expectations when we had our magical day on 1st September 2018. Rachel our wedding coordinator was so helpful and ensured everything was on schedule that day and kept me calm when I started to panic lol. Nothing was too much trouble for her or any of the Mar Hall staff — they were extremely accommodating and made me and my newly husband feel very very special. From the lovely Angela helping out with a pre wedding dinner across at the Italian restaurant to Scott sorting out champagne and everyone in between just made it the best time. My guests have praised the team at mar hall and said it really was the best wedding they have ever been to and the nicest venue and I couldn’t agree more. They have raved at how amazing everything was from the rooms, the food, the setting and the service — this is a top class 5 star hotel and one of the best you will find in Scotland. Thank you all so much for making our wedding day the best day of our lives — we hope to see you all soon for one of many overnight stays we plan on doing.

A good hotel. Decor starting to show age. Staff good, bar good. Value for money. Room perfectly adequate. Breakfast good.

Lovely meal in elegant surroundings. Terrific view over the Clyde. Service was a little tardy, they were caught out by a number of last minute reservations from hotel guests. Good wine list and an interesting menu.

Excellent spa day as part of an itison voucher. Perfectly sized lunch and excellent facilities and treatment. Have also been previously for afternoon tea and was also not disappointed. They frequently do excellent offers via itison so worth keeping your eyes peeled for! :)

Great hotel, beautiful entrance hall. The food was good. Room was fantastically beautiful, bathroom was a dream. We had a small problem with the windows-was fixed immediately. Service at its finest.

We had the privilege of having our wedding here yesterday, it was completely flawless throughout and we couldn’t have picked a better venue!

The venue itself is beautiful, clean, well kept and all round stunning! We each had a beautiful room to get ready in and felt we were in great capable hands if we needed even the tiniest thing!

Fantastic day on Friday at my daughter Kirsty’s wedding. The venue was fantastic, the food was amazing and the staff could not be more helpful. A huge thanks to Keri Kirsty’s wedding planner for making it all go so smoothly and a special mention to Cathie who is an absolute gem and looked after the top table like we were royalty. I would highly recommend Mar Hall.

Fantastic resort in the outskirts of Glasgow. Stayed overnight for a wedding and was impressed with our room which was warm, conformable and with a huge bed to sink into. The grounds around the hotel are simply stunning, with views overlooking the Clyde, well work having a walk around. Traditional Scottish breakfast was of a high standard too and I would highly recommend.

Stayed at Mar Hall for a wedding and the venue was absolutely stunning — fantastic setting and views. Staff were friendly and helpful and our room was clean and comfortable. The bed was massive! I was also really impressed with the meal, I don't normally look forward to wedding food but all 3 courses were quality.

Came here for my honeymoon, absolutely lovely stay hotel wise. In terms of the spa, it wasn't a nice experience. There was a broken pump cover in the pool. I got into the pool and cut my foot on the pump cover which had become really sharp. The man who worked there seemed to have no first aid training and had to go through three first aid kits to find a plaster. I reported it to the hotel management while I was there in the hope that the area around the pump would be sectioned off in the pool. This didn't happen. The most worrying thing was that I saw some kids jumping in the pool right near to where the broken pump cover was just the day before. The staff just didn't seem that bothered about the potential danger of the broken pump cover.

Had a memorable visit with my daughter for afternoon tea. The staff couldnt have been nicer. The food and service were excellent, and the surroundings wonderful. Would love t repeat again perhaps in the autumn.

Spent the afternoon in the swimming pool and havinng a couple of treatments in the spa. Lunch was included and it was so relaxing. Would go there again no problem. This was a gift for myself and a friend. So enjoyable.

My friend and I had the most amazing and relaxing time staying at Mar Hall Hotel and Spa last weekend! Despite it being Mother’s Day a particularly busy time for all the staff, we were treated as if we were the only guests there! Our room and en-suite were luxurious, spacious and beautifully appointed. Our Spa Experience was amazing and afternoon tea, dinner and breakfast were served in the most sumptuous of settings, service was impeccable and the food and wine sublime! We cannot thank the management and staff enough for what was a truly unforgettable experience!

Was stunning location had a beer and cocktail in the bar 4.10 for the beer and 10 for the cocktail. Went for dinner ordered the same again, came back 8.50 for the beer and 22.50 for the cocktail. Are you kidding me food great, room great, bed really hard prices in the great hall when the drinks are poured next door shocking sorry won't be back everyone needs to make a profit but that's pushing it.

Great hotel. Own. Very nice frame. Very quiet and friendly staff. Nice pool and spa. Almost new fitness room. Excellent breakfast I recommend.

The place is lovely. Our meal was excellent could not criticise a thing. Very good value for money we thought. Service very good & attentive but not overly so.

Really enjoyed my stay here, received complimentary champagne on arrival as it was my birthday which I really didn't expect. The staff really went out their way to be accommodating and I the food in the restaurant didn't disappoint. Would recommend booking spa treatments in advance as we tried to book treatments during our stay and the only had the mud chamber available which was interesting but not my thing.

You will be hard pushed to find a better course in or around Glasgow. Full set up all year so winter golf is enjoyable. Add to that the views, layout and standard of service and you always walk away happy. The golf is great value when compared to similar courses. Food and drink prices in the hotel are above average but you do get above average standards.

We’ve stayed here on a couple of occasions when meeting up with friends. The location, warm welcome, ambience and cuisine are hard to beat! And there are some great walks and places to visit nearby… if you want a wee break from the excellent golf course.

Paid a visit on the 8/01/18 had a lovely afternoon. We had tea and scones which were freshly baked with clotted cream and Jam. They were delicious. 10/10 to the chef. Will definitely be back. The staff were helpful and attentive, the Barman was a charming young man who couldn't do enough for us. A thoroughly enjoyable day.

A very special and enjoyable stay.

Overall my experience was a good one but not worthy of 5 stars, public areas a bit shabby in places, my wife was sitting on a torn chair with staples poking out when we sat in the hall having pre wedding drinks before moving outside to the marquee. Dinner started off well and I had the vegetarian haggis which was delicious, then my main arrived. Soggy macaroni with a bland tomato sauce! Incidentally the same dish that was being served to the children. Now I am used to being slightly let down by vegetarian options but given the calibre of the venue and no doubt the high price my host's would have paid for my meal, I certainly would have expected much better ☹

Staff were very friendly. Room was nice and large though a little warm (but they did leave a fan in there). Did a nice cocktail and the whisky selection is pretty good… oh and it's out in the countryside looking out onto a lake and is really picturesque.

Beautiful location and the staff is a true asset: so helpful, friendly and welcoming! Brilliant therapists including. I've only been to a spa and found the facilities quite basic, however very well maintained and very clean. There is a big swimming pool, sauna and a steam room, nothing fancy, but all the basics are covered.

Visited mat Hall today with my daughter for a day spa with facial and full body massage. I had a young lady called Jenny who was absolutely wonderful. Definitely one of the best treatment I have had. My daughter was also delighted. Staff extremely courteous and helpful. Will certainly visit again.

Great place to stay with lovely views! Room was very spacious and room service was great! The foyers are beautiful and a wonderful place to have breakfast in! Pool facilities were great too, pool was heated to a nice warm temperature which is a plus when it's cold outside! Staff are lovely too!

Overall a lovely experience. Went with friends for the 'Time out' spa experience. Treatment was lovely as was therapist. Spa facilities were nice as were the outdoor surroundings but certain aspects of the building were a bit tired and in need of a tidy up/lick of paint. Compared to other 5* spa experiences I didn't find this one to be quite up to the same standards but still lovely all the same.

Staff very attentive and friendly but overall its overpriced. Inability to separate wedding party & guests can also cause an issue during weekends. So check when booking. The evening entertainment in the hotel main hall was wonderful, a singer called Claire. Food was ok but only ok. Pool & spa area is adequate but missing a Jacuzzi & not 5

Super spot. A great hotel in a lovely setting. The food and accommodation are outstanding. That's 3 years now I've been going at this time of year and it never fails to impress. Great staff as well couldn't do enough for you.

The room we got was perfectly nice with a view on the back yard. The main room, however, I think it need a bit of a touch of redecoration. Food was great. I had a walk in the morning around the estate and it is wonderful to feel the fresh air. I have been there twice already and will definitely go again.

Brilliant spa overnight with my friend for her birthday. Room was a decent size. Shower was absolutely amazing in the room. Massage was good. Dinner was really tasty although the cheesecake I had for desert was average. I've had much better. It is incredibly expensive for drinks which was somewhat expected.

Within 20 minutes driving time of Glasgow City Centre, Mar Hall is set within an exquisite and private area with beautiful views onto the River Clyde. The room was spacious and welcoming. The food available was excellent. The Spa and gym facilities were first class.

Beautiful grand building with wonderful grounds and picturesque views over the river Clyde. Lounge was beautiful and a wonderfullly stocked bar (although expectedly drinks are at the top end of what you'd expect to pay). Couldn't fault the staff who were helpful throughout.

Lovely gardens. Exceptional views. Visited for a spa day. The service and staff were exceptional. I feel the gym could have more equipment that caters for females.

Comfy, clean rooms. Friendly staff. Great swimming pool and gym. Food is average, choice is not great and it is expensive. Nearest restaurant is about 1hr walk away or a 5 minute drive. Very picturesque location but difficult to stay in without a car. Mobile reception patchy indoors, free Wi-Fi available. I've stayed in the past and will continue to stay, its a pleasant experience.

Had lovely bacon rolls followed by a cracking round of golf! Had a steak pie afterwards, steak was good but pastry was a bit too crazily puffed. Service was fantastic though.

Lovely place to stay at christmas time.

This place was great. Had one of the best nights sleep that I can remember. Huge selection of services available from the hotel and breakfast included (which was great).

I loved it my auntie got marred here and omg I could have died.

An excellent venue which under performs. Sadly our stay was disappointing mainly due to both the requirement of staff training and a poor quality room. The room lacked tea, coffee and a kettle, a basic clock and the bathroom had the cheapest toilet paper money could buy. The only window in the bedroom was very small and since there was no air conditioning this made for an extremely uncomfortable night at 25 degrees heat. The cot provided for our baby had no mattress, we forfeited two pillows from the bed and unfortunately there were no extra pillows to be found in the room. The staff (receptionist) never told us about the Spa facilities, the restaurant staff never even supplied the correct cutlery for our meal, fairly basic for a 5? star venue. In their favour was the staff were pleasant. The venue was overpriced as was the bar pricing. (a small wine and cider £12), the evening meal at £34.50 per head was actually increased on our final bill for some reason and the mini bar had nothing in it, probably the only one which I have ever come across which was empty. The breakfast we were informed of was very good, however I would have preferred something from the menu on the table which was not mentioned at all by the staff, we looked at it after we had finished and to our surprise saw a number of other options. In general a poor performance all round. If considering a venue in this area, the Cameron House Hotel would be worth consideration.

Spent an extended weekend here. The hall and its surrounding grounds are beautiful and the view is downright spectacular. The interior is tastefully decorated as are the individual rooms though they might miss some comforts some modern 5-star hotels offer. The kitchen is excellent and the staff are friendly and attentive.
