In a peaceful yet convenient location, this 19th-century farmhouse is close to the A78 and about 15 minutes from Prestwick Airport and 40 minutes from Glasgow International Airport.
Nethermains House is run informally and you can come and go as you please.
Local train stations and major road links to Glasgow, Troon, Kilmarnock, Ayr and Largs can be accessed easily. The beautiful harbour-side area is 5 minutes’ drive away and is adjacent to Irvine Beach Park, Magnum Leisure Centre and the popular Bridgegate shopping mall. There are 5 golf courses within easy reach of the House: between 0.8 km and 40 km away. Transport to and from the courses is available. Dairy Clay Pigeon Shooting and Archery Centre is 10 minutes' drive away.
There is ample free private parking within the grounds, which is covered by CCTV.

Fantastic place, the owner Margaret is so lovely and nothing is too much trouble. Next time I come this way I wouldn’t consider anywhere else to stay.
I spent this weekend at Nethermains Lodge after returning to my home town of Kilwinning to catch up with family and friends. I honestly cannot praise this place highly enough. Such a friendly welcome from Margaret and we had some lovely chats over coffee. She also dropped me off at my friend’s house which was so appreciated. The room was spacious and comfortable and spotlessly clean. Despite being relatively close to the bypass, not a noise can be heard from inside the house. I slept so well that I didn’t wake up until 10 am on the morning after arrival but Margaret still went out of her way to make sure I ate breakfast. The breakfast itself was absolutely fabulous and there was a great choice of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, fruit juice, hot drinks, toast as well as cooked breakfast options. Thank you so much for everything, I’m sure I will return next time I’m home!

We couldn’t have been made more welcomed here and the owner was so help and accommodating, the perfect place for a nice quiet break for visiting the family in area.
