This is the best hotel for us! The staff are amazing! We stay twice a year every year for 4 nights at a time. We absolutely love to stay here for when we have exhibitions in Coventry and Birmingham. Beds are amazing! Rooms are lovely, breakfast is insanely good. Atmosphere lively and welcoming. So many lovely people! And I’ll be back next month 😍❤️🥰

Always a wonderful stay. Bed is amazing, rooms are fresh, clean & modern. Lovely staff at all levels from the minute you arrive. So nice to have a pool, jacuzzi, sauna & steam room to enjoy. Gym available too. Breakfast is lovely, lots of hot & cold choices and items available to order cooked fresh. Restaurant & bar serving good food from nibbles/snacks to full mains etc. Love coming here even though live very close, feels like a lovely break away xx.

Great atmosphere, super night had for New Years, brilliant band playing.

We went with a large group for Christmas dinner and dance and stayed overnight. We had a great time. Rooms very spacious and spotless. Staff were very friendly and would recommend this night out. I might look into the spa next time. Spot on.

We spent the night here after the Christmas party every member of staff was polite and friendly. The hotel was clean and spacious the rooms were excellent and clean and comfortable thanks again see you next year.

Christmas party night at the Crown Plaza was great. Food was perfect, friendly staff, great DJ. Overall a great night. Room was spacious, bed was massive, room service was quick and tasty! We will be back next year.

Although I haven't stayed there I still had a brilliant experience today. I had broken down and limped into the car park. I went to reception to let them know. A lady called Sarah was on reception. She put my car reg into their system so I didn't get charged for parking. She them went to the refreshment area and asked someone to bring me a pot of tea and offered me a comfy sofa to sit on while I waited to be rescued. No charge. My tea was brought to me by a lovely gentleman who was very smart and very friendly. If this is indicative of the staff at the hotel then I would imagine it is a fabulous place to stay. I can't thank them enough.

Bought my mum here for her birthday, the staff were so accommodating, so polite and willing to help. Went out of their way to make this birthday wish for her! Would definitely come again x.

I shared a Afternoon Tea here with a friend. The service was really friendly and efficient. The sandwiches were delicious, scones warm and tasty. The cakes were okay but we were full so we were kindly offered a box to take them home in. My children devoured the cakes once home and they enjoyed them.

Really liked this hotel, staff were great, couldn't do enough. Our room was lovely, well furnished, fresh bottled water every day and positioned away from the 2 weddings taking place. Didn't hear anything. Spa was lovely too, will be going again.

We had our wedding here yesterday and we could have asked for any more. From the moment we started planning it with kelly and the team right up to the end of the evening we simply can not fault it. From the staff in reception through to camilla and the event staff on the night could not do enough for us. All of our guests have mentioned how nice the venue was and only spoke highly of the catering would recommend the crowne plaza to anyone.

I went yesterday with 3 other people for afternoon tea and cocktails the service was very slow considering there where only 2 other people having afternoon tea as well we waited ages fir the food to arrive and when it did the portions where very small 3 little finger sized sandwichs each even when we finished eating which didnt take they took forever to clear the table we then waited nearly 30 minutes for our cocktails I even joked with the waitress that I thought she had forgot all about us value for money I dont think so and wouldnt recommend to others this was a pre birthday treat for my mom so was a bit disappointed the service was so slow and I think you need to look at portion control.

Superfood salad was great however the wait for food, and coffee afterwards was far too long. Over 20 minutes waiting for a coffee which was out of a machine anyway was far too long. My wife asked for the table to be cleared after we had eaten, again like the coffee we were forgotten about and ended up clearing it ourselves.
I was amazed at the poor customer service considering the lovely look of the place.
This is the second time we have visited when out with the inlaws and experienced the same lack of service.
The saving grace is that the food was good hence the 3 star rating, sort the customer experience out and it would be a lot higher.
Don't know if I will risk it again though.

Hotel is lovely. A convenient spot. Staff friendly and professional. Lovely tea and cocktails. Lots of cake but it was a bit dry. Sandwiches were tasty but not enough of it. Scones were very yummy but a bit too small. Enjoyed the leisure facilities too. Only reason its not 5 stars is that there was way too many noisy kids but its out of their hands to be fair to them.

Had my prom there. The menu was changed last minute meaning we didn't get what we ordered. The first meal was great, some kind of soup. The second meal, even though there was an option of vegetarian or not, was not good. The veggie option had too much cheese in it, so much it made you feel sick. The non veggie option still had vegetables that were uncooked and the meat wasn't cooked fully either. The dessert was just 5 circular eclaires, something that stayed untouched on my plate. Not worth the money. Could've had a better prom in Ming Moon honestly.

So we visited this hotel yesterday for spa and afternoon tea this was a voucher bought and pre booked. We had a little incident so was running a little late. I called the hotel and spoke to a male explained what had happened. He was very understanding and said it was ok for us to get there a little late, he also confirmed we could use spa first then go for the tea. Once we arrived we went to check in at reception there was a lady called Sally Anne who was so abrupt couldn’t believe it. She told us we couldn’t have our afternoon tea after the spa as they were so busy and we couldn’t re arrange. It was now or never she wouldn’t believe I had called in so I had to show her the call log. When we asked to speak to the cafe manager re the afternoon tea who kindly told us we could have it after using the spa this Sally Anne was still encouraging the other manager to say No as they were busy! Couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Anyway we went used the spa which was lovely and so was the lady on reception there came back and had our tea. We were were surprised (not) to see the terrace area were the tea is served wasn’t busy at all. I have been to so many different hotels for afternoon teas and spa never felt this offended before. I had purchased 4 vouchers for this crown plaza as Eid gifts for family doubt they will be going in there to use them now after our experience. Even though all the rest of the staff were lovely it’s first impressions that count.

Came for Spa day to celebrate a friend's birthday. The facilities were very good. There was a good variety of gym equipment. Shame only I used the from the group. The gym is in 2 separate rooms both clean and tidy with all equipment been in the best condition. The leisure facilities of pool, steam room and sauna were great. The Jacuzzi was my favourite as the water was hot I was in heaven the only negative was the chlorine on my eyes. All staff member was warm and friendly they delivered not only a great service but provided true customer care. A fantastic time was had by all. I will definitely will return in the future.

We went yesterday on my birthday to use the Spa and afternoon tea, we used the pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi and they were all great, afterwards around lunchtime we had the afternoon tea and my wife is wheat, gluten & dairy intolerant so we had a free from selection that was absolutely amazing, freshly made scones that were completely dairy and wheat free.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful & we will definitely be returning.

Location is fantastic. Opposite the town with plenty of amenities. Easy to get to from major motorways. Room was basic but clean and modern. Service was excellent and I would happily return to this hotel.

Upmarket chain hotel. Friendly staff, nice big rooms. Great breakfast.

This recently changed to the Crowne Plaza and used to be the Holiday Inn. I attended as part of a conference and felt that the facilities were lacking compared to previous years. Many delegates sat in coats due to the temperature and even after asking for it to be increased it took 3 hours to notice the difference. Refreshments were lacking as if you were not at the front of the queue you had to look for a cup. Hopefully the rooms are of a better quality.

Good Hotel next to (15 minutes x Taxi) Birmingham Airport. Poor service employees with no experience and no supervision. If you want to dine cross the Shoping Mall and will be well attended.

Visited yesterday for a team meeting. 10 people in the team, we had a good sized room with free hot and cold refreshments. Great to see lots of AV equipment and connections and a 55" touchscreen display. Ample parking spaces for free if you register your car at the reception. There's a big shopping centre opposite the hotel with a variety of restaurants for those who wish to have a meal away from the hotel.

Nicely refurbished with ample free parking. The restaurant menu is really good, £40 for two with wine. I'd attended on business and would use the venue again, for professional or personal use.

Lisa on reception was very helpful to accommodate us. I had a booking for 4 rooms, plus we had a suite booked for the bride and groom along with an additional 2 rooms. Lisa managed to arrange for our rooms to all be close together. Our booking was then amended due to one person not being able to attend. Richard who was the night porter on the Saturday night was really nice and helpful. Unfortunately for him he had to deal with some of us in the reception area until 4am, although I'm sure we entertained him a little. He ensured we had everything we needed and was able to accommodate for us to have breakfast and late check out on the Sunday. I would defiantly stay again as the staff couldnt do any more for us!

A wonderful experience, from arriving to be told parking was free, to the friendly farewell from the concierge on leaving. The party room was a lovely size for our party and everything from cloakroom to WC was convienently positioned. The food was piping hot and restraunt quality, the waiting staff all friendly and happy to oblige if anything extra was required. Our own private bar and breakout area if you needed to get away from the busiiling dance area was a welcome oasis to have a chat with friends. What a pleasant evening everyone had, would I go again or recommend the Solihull Crowned Plaza? 100%!

Gorgeous hotel and lovely little extras in the room. My room was very spacious and luxurious. The staff were really helpful when I arrived as I had taken over other people’s bookings which meant I had 2 different rooms which they managed to change to 1room for my 2night stay. They were also very helpful when my room key stopped working a couple of times. The only thing I don’t understand is why breakfast is more expensive when paying at the restaurant than paying at reception when the menu is exactly the same and so is the service. I would definitely stay again.

Lovely hotel, however a few disappointments, showerscreen not wide enough, therforecwater splases onto floor, the desk should be replace with a proper dressing table, wardrobe needs more hangers, in a room with two double bed only 7 hangers, a light is require over tea/coffee station as very dark. Pool very disappointing, water temperature in the swimming pool was cool, no place to relax had only two garden chair, no sunloungers, we only stayed 15 mins in pool and had to get out. Sauna very small 3 of us in and any more would have been a struggle because of its design, the beds are so hard none of us had a good night sleep during our stay, however can't fault the housekeeper she try to help in the best way she could from what she has to work with gave us extra quilt to try and make the bed more comfortable. (I can't believe that most guest prefer a hard bed), all this said the staff, from reception, housekeeper, bar staff and restaurant staffs were all very helpful and friendly. Would I recommend staying there, yes, it's a nice hotel, if you like hard bed than yes. If hard bed is not for you than I would not recommend this hotel. Location is very good, within walking distance to a lovely shopping mall and lots of nice restaurant, try the turtle bay, a lovely carribean restaurant.

Great hotel in opposite Touchwood. Has it's own parking so a great place to crash for the weekend. Nice size rooms, clean and the staff are friendly. Bar is good. Didn't try the food as many restaurants across the road.

Caring and polite receptionist. Very comfortable bed. However, the only meat option at breakfast was pork, would give another star for greater variety.

Comfortable and modern. Competent and helpful staff. Well located, nearby town centre, shops and restaurants.

Disappointing Sunday lunch. The gravy tasted like an Oxo cube and the roast potatoes tasted like they were yesterday's. Despite being asked twice about what we thought of lunch, nothing was done about our comments.

Used lounge /bar area for business meeting during the day. Great location, free parking a big bonus, especially in this area. Good and reasonably priced coffee, too. Friendly staff, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Will definitely be visiting again.

Modern hotel in the centre of Solihull. Recently renovated from the HI — clean and spacious rooms. High level of service.

Rooms are comfortable and welcoming with good set of toiletries in the rooms. Clean with coffee/tea making facilities. Check which rooms you are in as the higher rooms are in the 'roof'. Whilst they have windows, you need to be nearly 6ft to see out of them so don't expect a view. For me, it didn't detract from my stay but I can see how it might for some. Service was friendly and helpful with parking included for the number of nights you are staying. If you are leaving your car after check-out though, I believe you need to pay parking fees. You may want to ask at reception to clarify. The reason is to stop people parking there when Touchwood shopping centre parking is full and therefore give their guests priority so it makes sense. Touchwood is a 2 minute walk from the hotel and has a multi screen cinema and plenty of restaurants. The hotel breakfast area is clean with a very good selection. I didn't eat in the hotel in the evening so unable to provide feedback.

Great hotel. Very food location. Clean rooms and good service. Although we got a room on the last floor and we were unable to stand in the bath to shower and no one warned us about that. Other than that it was very good experience. Breakfast was great. We were satisfied.

Great stay, we arrived a little early and had to wait till 15:00 to check in. This sounds bad but there is a large shopping centre opposite which was great. Also we were able to use the gym/spa facilities while we waited, which were great. I especially liked the steam and sauna rooms. The rooms themselves were large and spacious with all the mod cons you needed for a great stay. Breakfast was also included and after going up for a second helping I can say was delicious. I recommend this hotel to anyone.

Booked a twin room, but got moved to an executive double because it was overbooked. The sofa bed was broken, and really uncomfortable. And breakfast was a bit haphazard as the cups to have coffee and tea were on the floor in a tray. Would think twice about booking again.

We love this hotel. The young lady on reception Paige was absolutely lovely, welcoming and professional. Love her. Those are the types of employees who should be promoted. Anyone can receive training to ne qualified but not anyone possesses the qualities required on top of the training. My only complaint was that we ordered via room service for a hot and cold drink to bought up. When the guy on the bar last night finally came up. He was on the phone to someone. When I opened the door he explained that although the room was paid for we needed to put money on the room. I had the exact change to give him for the drinks but instead he said I would have to come all the way downstairs to pay 4.75 for the drinks instead of just taking it and making me have to get changed out of my pjs and come all the way back down since we had exact change for him. He left with the drinks and I had to get changed before going downstairs. Eventually while waiting on the drinks he was making after I gave reception guy the 4.75 or whatever, I was told he had already gone up. So I was waiting downstairs for an extra 7-10 mins for nothing. No one told me he was going to bring the drinks back to the room and since I had to come down it made sense I went up with it. Whats the. Point if I was downstairs. It was not busy and it was obvious I was still downstairs waiting when simple communication would have lessened putting us out. Apart from that it was a good stay.

The best Holiday Inn I have stayed at. Recently refurbished and believe its their flagship venue but much better quality than any of their other hotels. Breakfast good, service great, rooms spacious and new.

Rooms in need of refurb. The lift kept me awake most of the night, loud rumbling noise even several rooms away. We waited over an hour for our dinner in the restaurant, we were give a free glass of wine each as compensation. Nice public areas, good breakfast.

Dogs. So many dogs. I grant they must have had an event on, but there was poo in the foyer and barking ALL NIGHT. I realise this is an exception to the rule, but it equated to £50 per hour slept, so in this instance, sorry, not happy.

The room was decent but not enough for a 4 stars hotel. Good breakfast. The hotel has sauna swimming pool and gym.

Staff very helpful and welcoming. The common areas are very comfortable. The hotel bar offers meals at any time (much appreciated).
The pool area is great, especially if you have children at a young age.
(Side road), the room was a bit old and we were disturbed on Friday and Saturday by the club/bar Slug and lettuce (strong music).
The hotel offers free Wi — Fi and a computer (APPLE Mac) is available to print the tickets etc… All for free.

This is a review for the club Moativation that is part of the hotel, not the hotel itself. We went to the club as a trial. While at the pool it wasn't too bad, but afterwards my partner started to show symptoms of athletes foot which spread rapidly. We found out he picked it up in the male changing rooms / showers whilst we were there. It has now been a year, which has cost over hundreds of pounds in treatments and prescriptions. It seems apparent that HI does not adequately sanitise their changing rooms and shower facilities.

Really comfortable and hotel had everything I needed and expected.
