Fantastic centre city location, cool service, nice staff. Not a burden on ur pocket. Not far from train station. Other services r available at the door like cab, bus. Many pubs & restaurants around which r serving from morning till late evening. Novotel is always my option for staying out of town.

Rooms are warm. Bit noisy at night being on broad street but not the hotels fault. Great location for city centre. Rooms could have been cleaner but for the price it was great value.

Great stay July 24. Rooms large for a standard. Lovely reception and eating area. Breakfast was fantastic and service 10/10. Parking secure under hotel at £15 for 24hr, worth it. Best location to all the great eats and pubs and near the canal which was beautiful.

Good room, good breakfast. Slight problems with the keycard requiring visiting the reception to get the key to work. Good location. Nice staff.

Very central location near all the restrauants, bars and pubs. Has underground parking at £15 for 24 hours. Short walk to the cannel. Room was quiet and very comfortable, we stayed in a executive room. Breakfast had a good choice and bar was good. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Very spacious room, with impressive facilities! I had the executive room and was extremely pleased. The real standout though was the staff who were extremely professional and helpful, I'll definitely be visiting again.

Excellent city centre location close to plenty of attractions. Rooms are modern and clean plus the staff are very friendly and professional. Also has a private car park on site.

Room all right. Security possibly racist. Got questioned while checking in. Plenty of hassle trying to enter rooms/doors with the card unpleasant experience.

A party mile at the weekend. Breakfast and organization on weekends I found not so good.

Very clean and comfortable. Room service was excellent. Great choice of breakfast and good service. The one thing that's letting you down is your evening service at the restaurant. I was sat at the other end of the restaurant and heard about a customer complaining by the bar because the chefs made such a big deal out of it that all of us heard what was going on. The kitchen needs cleaning. The backsplash on your service counter is filthy. Perhaps they should focus more on tidiness of their workplace not slating a customer that's not happy with their food.

Great location to the city centre, great selection on breakfast menu, mini gym is good when not fully occupied and the staff are friendly and willing to help. Able to leave luggage at concierge at no extra cost. Would definitely stay there the next time in in Birmingham.

There is no front desk! Just two staff stood at podiums with a keyboard and screen! The place has zero atmosphere! It does its job and thats as much as you can say! I was there for a conference and the water ran out before we even got started. It took 30 plus minutes to get more to the meeting room. This demonstrated they can't really make the effort or they need more staff or just one to cater for corporate attendees!

Executive room was clean, equipped with a coffee machine, fridge, iron, board, shower and bath with all usual complimentaries. Staff were more than helpful and very welcoming. Hotel is very central but just far away enough to not be disturbed by all the nightlife. Hotel was quiet (3rd floor) and rooms seem very well sound proofed. Hotel is situated close to the theatres and canal basin. Could hear next rooms TV etc. Be aware though that parking at the hotel grounds will inccur a £15 charge per day as a quest. This is none refundable. The train station is in the middle of all the shopping mall The Bull ring. Is about 10 — 15 minutes walk away, quicker by taxi. No need for a car when in city centre so consider leaving at home. Would stay again at the hotel.

Great hotel on the busiest party street in Birmingham. There were 2 huge bouncers to keep the riff raff out after 10pm! That's not a negative just not a family place when people are falling over and flashing their bras and worse at 3pm! Rooms a good size, clean and modern and buffet breakfast good however breakfast staff seemed very unorganized. We were given cold tea/coffee twice. I wouldn't stay here with family again, it's hen/stag /uni party central! but a nice hotel overall.

Hotel is well situated to walk into the town centre. Rooms were clean and buffet breakfast was well worth the price. We got a discounted rate for booking breakfast on arrival so maybe hold off until checking in to see if you can bag a bargain too.

Loved it. Friendly staff, great breakfast and prefect location. Only negative is parking is a bit tight underground and £15 a night. Also the lift from the car park is via the staff entrance and takes a long time to come. Otherwise though a great hotel worth a revisit.

Great service. Fast check in, great decor. Comfortable room and really comfy bed. Great nights sleep and quiet. Didn't have breakfast there as price was too high so had it at wetherspoons over the road. It's situated on Broad Street so central to where we were going on the evening. Really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Good hotel with extraordinarily friendly staff.

We had to discuss our extended room booking several times. Each time it was assured that this was now registered in the system. The next day, however, they didn't know about it anymore. The breakfast was poor quality, the service permanently afterwards and the room dirty. For this price and the number of stars of the hotel really insufficient!

Room was fine but noisy outside so found it difficult to sleep. Odd bathroom set up with the toilet separate from the bathroom and interesting 70s style rough walls! Found the staff not very clued up with gluten free — ordered a gluten free pizza on my first night to be told it wasn't really gluten free because the cheese wasn't gluten free. When I asked for clarification the staff brought out the cheese bag and the only allergen was milk — this is not gluten! I think perhaps the staff need retraining regarding allergens! Also, in the morning, was really disappointed to discover that the scrambled egg, 1) came from a packet and 2) was not gluten free and nor were the beans (I am dubious that this is true due to the previous nights knowledge! ), — so, I ended up with toast, bacon and fried egg — slightly disappointment breakfast, really. The rest of my family were able to fill up on Danish pastries, sausages etc (although all said the sausages were not very nice). Also, very glad that we didn't need to get the car out of the car park the morning that we checked out as we found a bike race had completely blocked the exit — would have been nice to have been informed of this earlier in the weekend, or ideally before we booked. The staff were all extremely friendly, and willing to help when asked. The hotel toilets were clean as was the restaurant and reception.

Room was quiet which was very good, but it was not very nice. The breakfast was OK, but not very good. It looked like someone tried really hard to make it look good on a budget that was too low to produce a decent experience. The waiting staff were nice but needed training. In general, I am not a great fan of lifts that require you to use a room card to operate and prefer the traditional card inserting in the room to get in and keep the lights on. I also had someone outside my room at 9am. I understand that they were keen to clean my room and get it ready for the next person, but that was a bit too early. The hotel is also a bit out of centre and difficult to get to. I general, it was all OK, just not an amazing experience.

Hotel was lovely, room was spacious and clean. Security were extremely helpful when coming home in the morning, felt safe. Staff were there at all times if needed. Overall amazing value for money.

My room was clean and spacious. Great service. Even thou we was on the main street there was no noise. Breakfast service was amazing. The manager saw to our needs and went an extra mile to make our children breakfast. We had a big group and the catering team made us feel very welcome and comfortable. A very well done to the chef for a lovely breakfast. Main entrance reception staff was pleasant and helpful. We would stay again. And I would recommend this hotel.

Car park on site extremely expensive even though it's on the hotel grounds, which should be free parking. Room was very cold at nights and pillows deflated. For a superior room the same size as a standard room. Chef's during breakfast times excellent, waiter's very good but they we're over worked and under staffed which made breakfast times seems poor service. Breakfast times extremely busy but not enough staff working to cover customer requests in an appropriate time frame. Housekeeping good but poor English was unable to answer questions and I spent hours looking for my son toy that was misplaced in the room. Towels two small for adults even when asked we were given the same sizes again.

We booked this hotel in order to visit Edgbaston for the test match. It was an easy walk from the station, staff were extremely efficient and helpful at check in and were always prepared to answer questions. The room was quiet, clean and well equipped. Breakfast was all you would expect in a hotel with the full range of pastries, cooked items and quick service of tea and coffee. One night we ate pizza from the bar, which was of a good quality and well cooked. Easy walking distance to the library, museums, canal side walks and restaurants. A lovely 2 day break.

Smart modern lobby and ground floor. Comfortable bed and ample space in bedroom. Liked the WC separate from the bathroom. Plumbing could be updated though. Cistern slow to re-fill and shower controls could be smoother. Rather oddly, there are two lifts up and down the floors from the lobby but a long flight of stairs only up from the basement car park with one's luggage!

Chosen because the price indicated by my company tool was included in the parameters, I found out after the above price was valid only for the first night, the others were much more expensive.

Big and Beautiful in the heart of Birmingham.

Check in was fast and the reception area looked nice. The rooms were outdated and views out were either a parking lot or directly across at another building. The loo is a separate cubicle, which was tiny and dark. Bed was comfortable and the room was quiet at night and mostly clean. Overall at £109, it was very expensive for what it was. Reception promised to email me a receipt that never came and then had to be on hold for about 15 minutes with the hotel to request one. Not great.

Well you get what you pay for — it is value for money. The hotel is a little aged. Whereas the room was tidy and well presented, the carpet does have of-putting stains on it in various places. The toilet is actually a separate room from the bathroom… and looks like a dingy 1980's council flat loo. The bathroom itself was clean and the shower was nice. The bed was comfortable, and the room would appear to be sound proofed as we weren't disturbed at all by neighbours or the lift (we were directly opposite the lift) For £65, it is okay.

Smart, clean modern hotel, Big rooms with plenty of space, an iron, desk etc. Bathrooms a bit odd i. E. Toilet feels like its stuck in a cupboard. Food very well priced for a hotel. Breakfast buffet good quality.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed! The only modern thing in the hotel is the reception area. This hotel is far from being a 4-star hotel. On the contrary it deserves 2-star or 3-star. The rooms are very dated, poorly cleaned, stains on the walls, and stink like 'granny's house'! I had to spray perfume on my bed, otherwise I wouldn't be able to sleep because of the nasty smell. There are no shelves in the tiny wardrobe which is right next to the door, to put your t-shirts etc. The doors, walls, and furniture are from Victorian age. The walls are cracked and painted in disgusting dirty creamy colour. The sink in the tiny bathroom is plastic, funny tap which is too close to the wall. Another strangest thing that I have never seen before is the toilet and bathroom are seperated. You need to have acrobatic skills to turn around to get in the toilet without getting stuck between the toilet and the door. The toilet is plastic and the cheapest kind that you cannot even see in public toilets! Also, the bedsheet is not even a proper quilt, it is a blanket covered with a smelly sheet. Very uncomfortable bed. Simply, everything in the room is cheap and dated! Never again!

For a 4* Hotel, rooms were poorly cleaned, dusty, surfaces hadn't even been wiped down, stains on curtains, found an earring from a previous guest on the night stand, not even like it had been somewhere hard to find, not to mention tho stains on the ceiling from a previous leak… Not even painted over. Bathroom was clean and modern, fridge was stocked with water. Lobby was bright, clean, well furnished, sadly this didn't reflect the rest of the premesis. Staff were friendly and polite. Having stayed in quite a few, this was certainly not worth its 4* rating. I've stayed in nicer budget hotels.

Great location. Issue with room booking promptly resolved. Overall excellent stay.

Paid for the executive room although the room was very small, the windows let in a lot of noise when closed, the towels were grey and the tiny shower in the bathroom leaked all over the floor when in use. We also found that parts of the tap on the bath fell off in our hand when turning them on and the toilet (in seperately room) was so small you could hardly fit in there as you had to squeeze in the small gap beside the toilet to shut the door. Was very uncomfortable and the walls were Artexed with shoddy paintwork and cracks in every corner.

We run a church service every Sunday. The facilities are great. The team are really helpful. Everything is easy and smooth.

A great hotel with superb friendly staff. Special mention to Kinga and ms Diaz. Also Theo the basketball player. Highly recommended. Excellent.

Stayed there on business for two nights. The hotel is with good central location. I liked the gym but I didn't have the opportunity to use it. The room was pretty standard, clean and comfortable but one thing I didn't like at all — the toilet and bathroom were separated.
