Clean, comfortable, welcoming staff and great food service. Recommend you pay this hotel a visit. For a budget hotel the service is on par of the more upmarket hotels and the cost of a room is very affordable.

Reasonably priced central hotel with inclusive breakfast, good value, clean and tidy, would come back.

Simple nice hotel at a decent rate. I had to give it 4 stars based on a negative experience with dodgy Wi-Fi from O2 with marginal Skype performance. However very helpful and considerate staff.

Stayed 1 night, 15th June, had a problem with the room key the staff on the reception were great very friendly and very helpful. 1st customer service from the ladies on duty well done Room was clean and tidy.

Good basic hotel. Comfy clean bed, tea/coffee making facilities in room with a mini Chocolate bar left on your pillow — nice touch. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is basic but good.

The location was very good very central and very good for the museums and for the malls and for eating. The rooms at least the one I touched was very poor light and the camasmuy bad, but the service was very friendly and very attentive so it has something wrong but the location and service was very good.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. Good location for lots of attractions all in walking distance. Clean comfortable room. Very friendly and helpful staff particularly on reception and an adequate breakfast. On site parking too. I recommend you try it.

The accommodation was fine, some of the staff need to learn the meaning of hospitality and as for the breakfast! Shocking! The croissants and pastries tasted like feet! And just because you serve croissants doesn't class it as a continental breakfast, and at around £10 each quite frankly you would be better off going pretty much anywhere else.

Not a good stay. Expensive room rate (as per UK standard) and you get a really bad service. Parking is on the back inside a hotel from the same group, however there's no sign that it's also the parking for the ibis. Room was quite basic, with some minor flaws (e. G. No power socket close to the bed). In the shower I found some cleansing lotion container left over from the previous customer — probably little attention during room room cleaning. Breakfast was terrible. Small buffet, little choice, and before daring to try the Ham I had to look at it twice as it wasn't really dry. Very low level of service during checkout — ladies were unfriendly and not professional at all: another customer was told they do not book taxis. What to say. Expensive and a level of service you don't get even in the worst hostels.

While the price was good, there were some serious deficiencies. First, my partner and I wanted to sleep in the same bed, but somehow, the full size (queen) bed and the sofa bed were pulled out and made. I didn't need the sofa bed. I had to put it up to walk around in the room. When I did, I noticed how disgusting the area was under the pull out bed. Also, the soap dispenser in the shower was broken, so I had to fix that one. Then breakfast was horrible. I know it's free, but the quality of everything was just lacking in every way. Barely anything there and no variety. Just a bit disappointed and will not return.

Excellent venue for our training day. Accessible location as people were travelling from all over the country. Great facilities and very clean. Tea, coffee available all the time. Provided projector, flip chart etc. Great communications through booking process and would use again, thank you.

Appalling breakfast at this hotel. Not enough tables. None of the vacated tables had been cleared of dirty plates and dishes. So had no choice but to do the kitchen staff's job for them in order to have a clear table! No napkins either. Instead on display was a box of tissues. The toasters were inefficient and didn't toast the bread. There was no fridge for the yogurts. The meat on display was not covered and curling up. Food supplies were so low there was not enough to go round. This is a very disappointing end to a stay as the bedrooms were really good.

Centrally, the Wi-Fi shines by its absence even if they say they have. Good breakfast.

Really nice and clean hotel. Very very friendly and accommodating staff who were willing to bend over backwards for you! My girlfriend and I used this hotel for a night during the Christmas Markets and would highly recommend it to anyone ☺

This is a great hotel. I use it for gigs at the arena as it's 5 minutes walking distance, but it's about the same from Birmingham town centre. It's great value, clean and tidy with a car park at the back under the hotel, they do charge £13 for 24 hours in this which I think is well worth it. The staff at the hotel are always helpful and polite and I would stay in this hotel anytime I needed to be in Birmingham.

Comfortable. Good value for money At breakfast it is made of less some cooking. Comfortable bed and toilet in excellent condition. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Conveniently located hotel for Birmingham city centre and within 12 minutes walk of New Street station. As such, well positioned for events at the arena and the NEC. Simple rooms with tea and coffee making facilities. Continental breakfast available to set you up for the day ahead. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Great location. One of the better Ibis I have visited. Very clean. Breakfast was ample and the coffee good. Staff during my visit were excellent and friendly and helpful. Reckon it was good value. I visited on a Monday night.

Clean friendly hotel, car parking straight into the hotel. Breakfast served for a decent amount of time. Recommend this as it's also very good value for money!

Cheap cheerful accommodation for when there's a gig in town, rooms of decent size​ and beds comfy. Free breakfast is simple and filling.

Hotel is generally clean and suitable for an overnight guest. On arrival we had booked a twin room and had to wait for about 40 minutes for the room to be ready at 4pm which was a little disappointing, however, we were offered a free drink while we waiting which was a nice gesture that other places wouldn't always offer! Room okay, clean and tidy and all the usual. Good shower and clever designed bathroom area to maximize room size. Parking underground at £13 overnight which is about the same everywhere in the centre. Expensive but there we go! Breakfast is a continental style but limited and not exactly inspiring. Also a bit disappointing. All the staff we can across were pleasant and helpful and were a credit to the hotel.

Nice rooms and great location. Only gripe was the plug sockets not being next to the bed.

Clean room, adequate space for two people. The receptionist was very helpful and the staff were very friendly.

Very functional, but quite clean and comfortable. The usual Ibis styles. We were in a family room quite well. The sofa bed for the girls a little small, but we were comfortable.

Was only there to drop someone off, but had a look at their room. It seemed fairly spacious and overall clean. The person at the desk was very helpful: made tea, went and got a menu from the place next door, and also offered to change the room from a twin to a double since they cost the same and only one person was staying.

Checking in and out were both friendly and knowledgeable. Smiling welcoming faces and helpful attitudes are the norm here. Rooms are great — they're both clean and comfortable. Can't fault this place.

Zimmer war Ibis typisch klein aber fein, d. H. Sauber, modern und bequem. Frühstück ist überschaubar, reicht aber völlig für den Start in den Tag. Stadtzenztrum, New Street und Bullring sind bequem zu Fuß zu erreichen.

Friendly staff, good sized rooms, nice breakfast. Only complaint is that my second bed in my room was a converted sofa bed and my father got a king sized bed.

Friendly staff, clean and cosy rooms, breakfast to go, and the best thing, it is close to great attractions, shopping centers and cafes.

Very good location. Clean and comfortable. The rooms are quite big. Otherwise, the breakfast is a little bit poor. I enjoyed a lot our visit to Birmingham with a group of friends.

Great location… only 5 mins away from n. I. A where we were attending a show! Rooms bigger than expected. Continental breakfast included which was basic but as it was free can't complain.

Parking was annoying, other than that everything was awesome. Staff were VERY friendly and room was nice and clean. Got exactly what we payed for. Breakfast was very very small though.

People on the front desk were really friendly and helpful. The room was Comfortable and good value for money. However we had a horrendous night sleep because of nearby inconsiderate guests and people driving around outside beeping their horns really loudly and racing all night. The breakfast was disappointing so I am glad it was included in the price of the hotel.

No complaints, it's an Ibis so the rooms are clean and functional without being exceptional. The hotel doesn't have much character but is relatively cheap and in an excellent location if attending the ICC (or even the city centre). Breakfast is fairly basic, coffee and toast for me.

The hotel was in a great location and the room was big enough with decent furnishings. However, the sofa bed for my daughter was a bit rickety. The service was excellent and the decor in general was good. The addition of a children's toy area in reception was lovely. Breakfast is continental but tasty although the croissants could have been of a better quality, ideally fresh. I would definitely stay there again.

Excellent location, perfect size room with a good size tv, not the usual 14 inch pathetic one. Breakfast was an all you can eat continental one, which was nice. Car park wasn't included in the price, but was very convenient as under the hotel. Would stay there again.

What did I like about it? Really? Joke! I ordered a burger with cheese and bacon. Which arrived after some time. It looked awful, there was 1 slice of bacon for £2.50 extra, and the bun was way too toasted… after I salted my chips, well, they took it off and served it to another table as it was… I hope the guy liked salt and pepper. Later, my burger arrived. It didn't look much better… And it was not the burger that I ordered . So o called the waitress who took it back. Dont worry, it probably went to another table straight away. At some point, I actually got my burger. It was bad… And expensive for something so bad… After the main, came the coffee, and then the dessert… Yes it's usually the other way around but hey, to make this up, the coffee was absolutely rubbish! Dessert was OK… TO be fair… TO conclude NEVER AGAIN.

Stayed for one night in August, clean, quite, girl on reception Lucy was wonderful, could not do enough for us.

I was served on reception by Leah and Jared. They were very friendly Very helpful with all the questions I asked. The room was modern and very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anybody. Great price and breakfast was included too. Thankyou for a delightful stay.

I would not choose to stay at this hotel again and will advise my friends to avoid too. The staff range from friendly to downright unhelpful. Rooms are average. Location is okay. I tried to advise of an amendment to the booking and was told I would have to pay another £25 per person! I had paid extra for a family room, to be told this. I felt like an inconvenience and belittled rather than a paying guest. Based on the unhelpfulness of some of the staff, the apparant draconian nature of booking and insistance to hand over my card details for things I had no intention of buying, I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere. Avoid.

Social people beware! Hotel operates a night register. Guests of hotel residence are not allowed on the PREMISES after hours. Staff made my guests wait outside, in the cold while waiting for a taxi. I've stayed in many hotels globally and very few operate in such a manner. I never return to the hotels that have this policy. I shall take my custom elsewhere.
