The staff were friendly and welcoming, would 100% reccomend.

Great staff, especially David on reception and Jack in the breakfast room, made the hotel feel like a family run B&B, all staff were happy to help. Really friendly and professional. Breakfast was well cooked and tasty. Bed is comfortable, room is clean and a decent size. Only negatives are PG tips for tea and a fixed head shower, so nothing really to worry about! Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here last night. Room was nice and airy. Bed was comfy and the breakfast was delicious. Felt really safe here. I would recommend this premier inn and would return.

L use this Premier inn e everytime l am un Gateshead on business, staff always helpful, and go the extra mile. Young Jack on front of house/reception is a credit, always polite kind and courteous, old fashioned service. Recommended.

The staff at this hotel are a real credit to Premier Inn. Nothing was too much trouble, all were friendly and happy and went above and beyond. I travel a lot for work and this hotel is now on my ‘preferred’ list. Thankyou for making my two nights away so lovely.

Lovely greeting by Kimbo! Great meal at nearby Toby Inn — ciabatta with cheese followed by super green turkey salad. Well you have to be good sometimes… Room spot on as usual, I was in 321 and it was very quiet, no hotel can be 100% silent so I can’t understand the moans of some people’s reviews! Toby staff all lovely and genuinely bothered to ensure you have a great experience! Bye for now! Simon.

Lovely friendly professional staff, very helpful too. Only thing that’s odd is the positioning of the TV in relation to the bed, offset! Just me nit picking though!

The lady on reception is exceptional and goes over and above to make your stay a good one — excellent customer service.

We have really enjoyed our stay here again and would not consider staying anywhere else when we are in Washington. The staff are so freindly and helpful, especially Kim who made a real impact, nothing was too much trouble and she had some great advice about local sightseeing too. Even before we leave we are Looking forward to visiting again soon!

We stayed here for a night whilst up for a family birthday party. I cannot praise the staff enough especially Helen on reception. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Rooms were good for what we needed and reasonable price with a good breakfast choice!

We often stay at this hotel when we are visiting my family in Newcastle as the public transport links are excellent (the Metro station Callerton Parkway is literally right outside). There is a pub next door that does good food (a great breakfast) that is very reasonably priced — the Pie And A Half dish is HUGE! With their ‘Quiet Night’ promise, it really is a great night’s sleep. The beds are super comfortable and the layout of the rooms is very typical. If you need anything for your stay that you might have forgot, with one Metro stop you are right by an out of town shopping outlet with a giant Tesco as part of it. Thoroughly recommend this hotel for either business (also next to the airport) or pleasure (I also used this place for my stag do — we had to fill out lots of forms and pay a deposit, so they are super hot on making sure they can keep their ‘quiet night’ promise).

Booked for a single night for family visit to Beamish Museum. On arrival found out web our booking dates where wrong! Booking was for next year. Fortunately for us the staff rearranged a booking or two and got us a room for the 4 of us with little fuss beyond extra cost, and them making to room ready for us while we went for dinner. Friendly, helpful and patient staff at breakfast even though it was busy.

Ideal for overnight stay. Very clean, bed comfy. Had continental breakfast and was spoil for choice. Staff very helpful and welcoming. One was very knowledgeable about local area and gave us excellent directions.

Great, clean and tidy nice comfortable room awsome bed. Staff were nice enough and check out by 12 can't complain breckfast all you can eat and was nice. Handy location right between Sunderland and Newcastle and galleries 5 mins away in the car.

We have stayed here a number of times whilst visiting family. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and always have a smile which says that they are happy too. The breakfast is freshly cooked to order with a really good selection for you to choose from. The location is very close to the A1 making it very accessible and there is a Toby Carvery on the same site and a sports bar to the rear which also serves food. We will definitely return.

The staff were unbelievably helpful. The meeting room was excellent and we will definitely be returning. To use the facilities. The Carvery across the road was amazing value and the rooms and night staff were a credit to the Hotel. Thanks for being our new found meeting base for the North East.

We've had the pleasure of staying here a few times now over last few years an the staff actually remember us, not sure if that's good or bad lol, they are attentive an will help you as much as they can we've stayed a week at a time so have seen most of the staff during our stay an can only say they are friendly an make your stay with them a pleasant experience.

We have stayed in many Premier Inns lately but this one gets top marks from us! The staff are all so friendly, genuine and welcoming. They create a very happy atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean and comfortable, equipped with everything you need. The restaurant is also very clean and comfortable, the breakfast menu is extensive and would meet anyone's dietary requirements. Again, the staff were so attentive and welcoming. This particular Premier Inn will be our regular stop-over when in this area. Our thanks go to all the staff :-)

Stayed here with my children at the end of December. The staff were so friendly when we arrived, asked if I needed help to my room. Same friendly service in the morning, nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely with a very good variety to choose from.

Great base for exploring the North East. Easy access to Durham, Newcastle, South Shields and Sunderland (just off the A1). Clean, comfortable and affordable… typical Premier Inn. Toby Carvery and Champs opposite. Good breakfast inside hotel. Will use again.

Stayed for 2 nights, very clean and staff are so lovely and helpful. The thoughtful house keeper Linda Maddison on cleaning our room tucked up my daughter's doll in bed and made it look like she was sleeping, my daughter face when we came back she was chuffed to bits. We would highly recommend staying here.

Great place to stay. Rooms excellent. Food 1st class and the were more than helpful when I needed a trousers belt. But! Was mift when I was charged twice for breakfast. Monday morning I paid or x3 breakfasts on my card but your staff aren't to quick at handing receipts over. So come departure time you charged me again for Monday & Tuesday. At almost £9.00 per meal you seriously need a better means of keeping track of who's paid for what and when. Other than leave a guest departing with a poor experience at your hotel. Hotel is pretty standard and does what is says on the tin. But the staff are a stand out credit to this place. So friendly, happy and helpful, it makes all the difference to the stay.

Clean and reasonable rate if booked on line saver. Not much choice of food as the on site restaurant is Toby carvery, so roast lunch is it pretty much though they do have some vegetarian options. Had a really good night's sleep as the room was quiet and the bed comfortable.

Hotel is nice. Breakfast is good. Pub next door only does a Carvery but there is a sports bar a short walk away which does grills. Plenty of parking and very close to the A1.

From check in to check out everything about this Inn is truly Premier. The rooms are bright, clean and spacious. Location is great for visiting the surrounding area, especially being only 15 minutes drive from Beamish open air museum. (One of my favourites) Les who was on restaurant duties this morning is a credit to the place. Nothing too much trouble and was pleasant, welcoming and very apologetic about not having any gluten free sausages, not his fault! All in all a great place to stay for one or a couple of nights.

Brilliant staff very helpful nothing is a bother for them, clean rooms and Exellent breakfast options, I certainly would recommend it to anyone, a very enjoyable experience.

A good example of a premier Inn. The staff are all really nice and helpful and the rooms are modern and comfortable. The showers are about the best I've found in a premier inn. The hotel is also really easy to find and there is ample parking.

Stayed here last night as we were at a 30th birthday party in Washington, staff were lovely rooms excellent, great value for money.

Was nearly put off this hotel by the mentions of it possibly being noisy. In the event it turned out to be one of the quietest hotels I have stayed at. Pleasant staff and a couple of restaurants within a few yards of the hotel. In my opinion a great place to day for this area.

Stayed here for work in the area. Hotel was clean and rooms are a good size. Beds are really comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, fantastic choice and the full English was cooked to order. Staff very friendly.

Rooms far too small for family room plus very noisy as over the kitchen and had large extractors going outside window. Room was hot and could not cool down due to extractors outside window blowing hot air all the time. Lot's passing traffic too so no sleep at all. First time ever we've had a problem with premier inn. Unfortunately wouldn't stay at this location again even though staff friendly and champs bar excellent for meals and breakfast.

I only stayed one night, which doesn't give me much to reflect on. However, service was as expected. The bed was comfortable. The room was warm and quiet. There was breakfast available but I only had cereal and toast. From what I saw it was quite small, I didn't notice any gym or other services.

Location just of the motorway, friendly staff, good location for two restaurants nearby.

James on reception was sensational, a true gentleman who helped us with ordering a takeaway, changing our nights and even lending us a phone charger. An absolute credit to the hotel.

Fire alarm went off during the night. People in near by rooms were very loud. Toilet wouldn't flush properly.

Had great time, the staff where really warm and friendly, p articulately the Sunday morning crew.

I stayed in this hotel and couldn't fault it, the staff were all friendly and helpful and the rooms were so clean and top class, would recommend this hotel 5***** Thankyou. MR and MRS Young.
