Reviews of Ravensworth Arms 3*
Poor experience here today, came for some lunch for my birthday with my girlfriend. We ordered a chicken burger, garlic bread & a summer garlic bowl. After 20 minutes we were informed they had no summer garden bowls left so we picked something different. After another 40 minutes a cold gristly chicken burger appeared with under cooked chips. We then had to go to the bar when they had forgot to bring out the garlic bread. When it emerged it was half of a small ciabatta burned at the edges. No one came over during the meal to ask how the food was like they were doing to other customers. Overall a really poor experience for the £30 we paid.
Nice setting, good sized car park! Mediocre food & beer! I do appreciate, that we turned up as a party of six at gone 5pm on a Sunday! But it took an hour to cook 6 basic pub meals & the chips are not thrice cooked, there bloody cooked from frozen! Plus they brought the meals out at different times, so some of us had finished before the others had started, plus items were missing off the meals, which they brought out later!

A very large pub/restaurant which is part of the Chef and Brewer chain. There seemed to be ample parking and it was busy on the Friday night we went so all the restaurant tables were taken and we eat in the bar. The beer was really poorly kept and I took two different pints back before asking for bottled beer. The bar staff clearly knew the first pint was from 'the end of the barrel' (they said so) but were happy to serve it still and never took it off. The second I tried was cloudy and sour. The food was good, but took a very long time to come (45 mins). Not the greatest experience stopping off here.
