Nice location with stunning views over the River Tyne. The room was okay and had everything we needed. Bit disappointed with the bar. It was expensive and only sold gassy lager and beer. No proper beers like Doombar and Hobgoblin Gold.

We stayed in the jury’s in for two nights, the views of the quayside and bridge at night were fabulous plenty places to go Baltic museum a must as right beside the inn, rooms perfect and clean, bar and restaurant great too defo recommend to anyone coming for a visit.

Nice comfortable hotel, good service from friendly staff, and nice rooms. On the down side, I don’t know if it is because we are with a coach party, but the evening meal is just like being back at school, no start and finish time with any time in between, you are given a specific time, with instructions to arrive five minutes early. In almost twenty years of coaching holidays, including on the continent, we have never encountered this before. On the plus side, the food is good. Having said that, I doubt very much we will come on a coaching holiday to one of these hotels again, unless they start treating people more like guests, and less like school kids.

The food is disgusting rotten steak microwave potato and a £1.20 mince pie never again.

Don’t get me wrong hotel is nice but paid for a river view and it wasn’t looking onto a car park and the car parking alone come to £28 ironing board was broken and when we rang down to tell them we where in a rush could they send one straight up and that was ages and the cash machine wasn’t working so trying to leave and having to pay parking had to walk to find one and staff weren’t very helpful just basically shrugged it off!

Friendly staff, clean, spacious rooms. Great position for all the local attractions, pubs and restaurants. Even though we were here on a busy Saturday night we were not bothered by any noise. Great stay.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. I had a lovely room overlooking the River Tyne and Quayside. The staff were lovely and very helpful they made me feel like a V. I. P! Thankyou for a truly memorable stay!

Would not recommend staying here, stayed in quite a few hotels around newcastle and this one was one of the worst, rude reception staff along with a room where the electricity kept going off, once we informed the manager of the issue he managed to get it back on for all of 15 minutes before it went back off, after informing him again he didn’t bother coming back up to fix it so spent our time there with no electric. We had no hot water on the night time so couldn’t use shower or bath.

Just visited for a birthday weekend for my daughter and can honestly say it was lovely. Lovely room and people. Big shout out to penny mulholland and the team for making the room up with balloons etc for my daughter's birthday. They couldn't have done more. Would definitely stay again.

It is a nice facility but is understaffed and service is slow in the food service. Nice buffet breakfast, if you can get a clean table. Reception is very helpful. Paul is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the area. Our bed was comfy and the manager was concerned enough to get the heat on in our room. The bathroom was big. Good lighting. But the shower sprayed over the tub and onto the floor. Quite a slippery floor. Had to use bath towels to clean up. Nice flat screen TV.

Good. Easy access location. In a lively area with a few bars etc so can be some noise in the evening if your window is open but otherwise fine.

Small walk to most places but building step count is good. Access to everywhere very easily. Good hotel.

The public areas are nice and well looked after, but my room was very tired looking. Couldn't have a shower due to the limescale build up on the shower head, and the sink was barely a trickle of water for the same reason. The curtains didn't close all the way on the right hand side, and there was no aircon! Luckily it was on the cool side of the building so wasn't so much of an issue with the windows open.

A great downtown location just a few minutes easy walk from the station, the metro and the bus station. We got a really warm welcome and when Paul on reception knew we were having a city break he gave us a very helpful introduction. The room was comfortable. The food was good but not brilliant. We enjoyed our stay in Newcastle and the hotel helped make the experience so positive.

Came to a conference. Lovely building, good well lit rooms and catering, sound and seating excellent, easy to get around. Only negatives — parking not convenient or cheap, and signage arrangements for conference are limited.

I recently stayed for 5 days with a coach party. Excellent accommodation with good food and great service. Would recommend you to anyone. I wonder if you would consider using non-palm oil products in your bathrooms and in your cooking? It would be great if you could start a trend to save the Rainforests from total decimation by the Palm oil companies. Regards Pam Swan.

Good clean rooms and public spaces. The staff are really helpful and accommodating. I stay there regularly as I travel for work.

Stayed 2 nights with a large group of over 90. Each year we have to book a hotel for an outside event and we have had varying experiences over many years. This hotel was by far the best we have used in a long time. Lovely food, clean, great reception service, great general service, friendly helpful staff including restaurant, bar, taxi valet lady and the night porter who went above and beyond his normal duties. Although our weekend was busy, it was nice to come back to the relaxing atmosphere at the hotel.

I had a great experience at Jurys Inn Newcastle. The room was spacious and friendly staff. The room was value for money. The building itself is situated in an Oval around offices and residential flats which is a great view itself.

Very convenient 5 min walk to the train station.

Like any corporate hotel it can feel a little clinical, however the bar is good, food not bad either. On the edge of town but not to far away from the centre so within easy walking distance. Rooms are clean and comfortable and they have a nice selection of small to medium meeting rooms for anyone who is looking to hold training sessions. Hotel is right by the gay quarter — not a problem but good to know!

Stayed 3 nights all staff esp the front desk were professional and friendly. We were moved to a quieter room on the Friday due to hen and stag parties. Nothing was too much trouble. We will certainly be back.

If it wasn't for the expensive bar drinks, this would of been 5 stars. But for a stag do, which I heard this hotel was famous for, you couldn't fault it. Don't be put off staying here for anything else either, as the staff (and security) FULLY enforce the rules at night especially. I saw couples, AND families staying on a busy February weekend. It's clean, it's fresh, it's very secure. The breakfast was decent all you can eat buffet, but not a cheap buffet. The location is kind of on the edge of the city and very quiet. But I was only a 10 minute walk away from Tiger Tiger club in the city centre. So, good for all things in the centre and that side of the city. Will definitely use again!

Staff are very friendly and happy to help if needed. The hotel its self is very clean and the rooms are lovely. There's even decent water pressure in the shower.

Perfect location for Metro Arena, staff were all friendly and helpful. Rooms were very nice with comfortable beds. Only downside was the choice of drinks from the bar could have been better.

Fantastic hotel in a great location. Close to the train station and bus stops. Fitness centre right next door too. Rooms are immaculate and very comfortable beds. They also provide rooms service for when you just want to chill in your room.

Really comfortable stat. Rooms spacious and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Paul who checked us in. He took time explain where attractions where and how to get about the city. Also helped with looking after our luggage after we checked out. Will defiantly be back.

Lovely warm welcome from the young man on reception nice room no issues at all plenty of room bed comfortable warm plenty of hot water good evening meal before going to strictly at the arena only a very short walk from Jury's car left in the jury's car park £7.00 for 24 hours all in all excellent stay very helpful and approachable friendly staff Thank you.

We had a great experience here. Very welcoming staff, we had a good room. Hotel is in a great location to get around Newcastle.

Staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast was included and there were a lot of choices with hot and cold items, pastries, and drinks. Room was clean, no drawers or closet, but there was a section separated for hanging clothes with hangers, toiletry was provided. The drainage in the bathtub was very slow, possibly partially clogged, so I told the front desk at checkout and he responded with appreciation and will look into it.

Located about 15-20 minutes from the city centre, hotel looks nice from the outside and nice in the communal areas around reception. I felt that the hotel room are in desperate need of refurbishment and are looking quite tired and my room wasn't very clean such as having hair and fake eyebrows left behind and clearly hadn't been vacuumed. The breakfast was nice but it was disappointing to see dirty cups.

This hotel is very good and situated close to the city centre. It has everything you need for a stay of this kind. The rooms are neat and tidy and the beds massive! Staff overall very friendly. Only reason it's not 5 star is because on a weekend it can be noisy with stags and people on a night out. However it wasn't bad enough to put me off a return visit.

Establishment located a few minutes from the center. Easy access and close to the nightlife areas. Great service.

Sue/Susan who worked on the first floor with all the conference rooms was AMAZING. When working on auditions she accommodated to all our needs even though she was rushed off her feet all day, lovely to talk to and such a nice lady.

Good rooms, plenty of pillows. Very clean and serviced well. Breakfast excellent.

Breakfast is good but the rooms are not clean. The toilet seat was slightly broken, the sink cracked and the sheets were stained when I got there. I have heard the same happened for friends who stayed here last week in different rooms but the same thing.

I stayed at the here for a few days in June and I loved it. The staff here is amazing! They were all very kind and helpful! I'm from California and was not at all familiar with this city and the staff recommended the best places to go while I was there. They also recommended great places to visit for the next city I was heading to. I was very grateful for their help, I ended up visiting places they recommended and having an amazing time. The room was very clean and nice. They have a restaurant here and the food was delicious. They also have a bar inside right next to the restaurant and there's a beautiful view right behind the hotel. If you're in Newcastle and looking for a hotel I would highly recommend this one.

Had a great time at newcastle and the hotel was great had everything we needed will defo be booking here again next time were back on room was clean an tidy beds are so comfy only thing that was not good was the breakfast but loved my stay there x.

Comfortable stay, 10 mins walk from the main Newcastle station so not too far off you have light luggage. Good selection for breakfast, just a shame of the 6am fire alarm before work that morning.

Good central hotel clean rooms food excellent. Would like to have breakfast toast, tea and coffee served at table rather than self serve. Rooms with river view excellent a good all round hotel arrive early as car parking is very tight.

Excellent hotel. So close to the Metro Arena. Walked there in 5 minutes. Friendly staff and lovely spacious rooms. Will definitely stay again when we come to the Arena.

Room was quite spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable and had loads of pillows. The bar was nice with a good atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Never had any problems, loved our stay and been here 3 times since. We always book a two course meal upon booking the room. Brilliant price! We upgraded to the executive room, and even got buffet breakfast. Free complimentary coffee and even a free bottle of wine. We got engaged here, and the staff were lovely and congratulated us with a free glass of bubbly during our meal.

Attended professional development course here today. Lovely hotel, well looked after and friendly staff. Coffee and biscuits provided at start and during intervals. Lovely buffet meal with hot and cold options at lunch. Only negative was there was no water or other drinks as far as I could see available during lunch.

Comfortable rooms but don't be surprised to find a sex doll in the foyer as the place is full of stag and hen parties. Breakfast was ok but expensive.

I honestly have very little bad to say about Jurys Inn, I had a great time in Newcastle, and it provided me with a great place to stay. Firstly, it is incredibly close to the train station, about a 10 minute walk at most. Second, I found that especially considering the low price I paid, the hotel was incredibly well presented, well maintained, and has friendly staff. And finally, being that it is close to the train station, it's also close to the city centre. The only issues I had is that my room didn't have air conditioning, and the food seemed steep in price, so we ordered in takeaway instead.

Really handy hotel very close to station and city centre. Used this hotel a few times and will come back again. Staff are polite, rooms are well kept, excellent Wi-Fi and restaurant food is good. Highly recommend.

Got a good deal at this hotel. Its stone throw away from the train station. The rooms are large and spacious. The bathroom is possibly the biggest I have seen in a hotel room. Word of advice to the hotel management, you have enough space to install a jacuzzi instead of a bath tub. Also your bedrooms have space for a king bed rather than a double bed. Overall a very pleasant stay. Will come here again Stayed April 2015

Stayed only 1 night in the hotel, but were completely satisfied, staff friendly and uncomplicated, room good facilities up to the shower that not told to me at all! Until the city ca min bars, restaurants close to the hotel, run in 5-10, train station 5min walk March away!

3 star hotel, room is ok, functional. Tea and coffee making facilities, bed is decent, view was of the metro radio arena, bathroom had power shower which is very good, bathtub, sink was too small though. It's a basic hotel. Has a bar and restaurant but I didn't try either. Breakfast is £10 per person, again didn't try. Hotel is 3 mins walk to Metro Radio Arena, 2 mins walk to the Life Centre, 8 mins walk to the train station, 10 mins walk to the bars and restaurants such as Revolution, Coop, Koo, Tokyo, etc. I only stayed 1 night and it was for the location only.

Stayed here for a stag (29 Sept-2 Oct 2011) and had a great time, especially with the other hen parties! Bar prices are steep but the hotel is very close to the city, so there are plenty of options for cheap booze! The casino is across the road too. Also, Newcastle is a good city for a stag! ;)

I love jurys Newcastle, my family always stay here when visiting from Ireland. The staff are always very friendly and helpful however sometime they are run if their feet due to being short staffed. The food is beautiful and breakfast is beautiful. Rooms are always spotless.

Great welcome from the front desk, rooms are spotless as usual and the rate was very reasonable for a city centre hotel. The train station is just a short walk away and bars, restaurants and nighlife are all close by.

Very well run Jury's inn but in a strange location with horrible views. If you have the option, book in with the JI on Gatesheads quayside. This JI is merged with a few other offices and private flats, but non the less it's an excellent hotel experience on a budget. Meeting rooms and functions available for hire. This place is close to a lot of pubs and the Life Center, and is within walking distance to Newcastles central station. The views of the hotel overlook some dire looking industrial buildings and Newcastle College.

Well worth money and hard working staff keep it together despite some difficult customers.

In jurysinn newcastle and it's smells like someone is smoking drugs. We have complained twice and they say their hands are tied. They also said their was complaints last night and didn't do anything then also. We didn't come to a hotel to have the room smell of drugs. We have a 15mo and think it's not healthy for her. We had the window open and could still smell it and it's cold outside. We got told they can't go knocking on everyone's doors even though we can smell it down our corridor.

The staff are lovely but our experience was ruined by people smoking drugs in one of the rooms. The smell spread into the hallways and spread into our room. The staff there said that there hands are tied and can't just go banging doors down. Not happy considering our child is in the same room and had to open tge window to let fresh air in when it is freezing outside.

The operations manager who checked us in was lovely. The restaurant supervisor or manager was rude, so ignorant and really couldn't care less about customer service. Overall lovely hotel, fantastic location but spoilt by some staff who wouldn't know good customer service if it smacked them in the face.
