Very well located. Nice clean rooms. Good general facilities. Helpful staff. Will definitely use again. Great business stop over.

No night staff on duty to address noisy young people in room above, so with very little sleep, and a long journey home not good also hair dryer had no power, no heating in room, not a good stay.

Nicer hotel. Decent, well-sized rooms. The staff were great. The location is fantastic.

Room small and very hot, asked for fan but informed that no fans! Bed hard with extremely old and lumpy pillows. Staff limited responses and not particularly friendly. Breakfast, no bacon available and no friendly response or even if we needed anything. Very disappointing, certainly will not be staying again.

Excellent central location with the added benefit of free parking. Lovely comfortable room and very good breakfast. Limited bar facilities and no resturant for evening meal but room service available.

Location is excellent for visiting Taunton, rooms clean and of a good size, staff friendly.

The room fixtures, fittings and decor was very dated. The overall lighting was poor. There were Pictures missing from the walls although the picture supports still apparent. The Bathroom walls and floors water stained. The bed cover/duvet was lumpy as if it had been tumbled dried.
Doors albeit fire doors banged all night. Breakfast served from 7.30am, a radio alarm in the down floor region commenced at approx 2.00am. Very audible, so my sleep pattern was interrupted regularly.
Not a good nights sleep or offering for business professionals.

Lovely hotel and staff very friendly and welcoming food is limited but the quality very good as was breakfast I would recommend this hotel and will stay there on my next visit.

We stayed here in a twin room for one night, its brilliantly located for easy walking distance into the town centre shops and amenities. Very clean, quiet, well appointed modern rooms, with comfy beds, and fantastic breakfast.

Don't need a password for the Wi-Fi (good! ), narrow staircase and no lift and no assistance — so it's hard to carry heavy luggage upstairs. They didn't have a booking for me once. Good location. Okay car park. Poor food option — better to get food externally.

Can't believe this hotel is only rated two stars. £50 for a double room and full english breakfast in the centre of Taunton, what more do you want. The mattress might be worth replacing soon, but out did not bother me. Quiet, free internet, good tv, lovely.

After another excellent stay at this hotel in the centre of Taunton, I have felt compelled to write this review. It makes a pleasant change to stay in a hotel of such quality. My latest room was spacious (with drawstring curtains) an immaculate bathroom, and well insulated from the main road outside. The current manager also helpfully provided me with a map of Taunton (a surprising amount of hotels I stay in do not have maps of the town they are in! ). The breakfast was also very well prepared and it was great to have a "healthy" full English not swimming in grease. Looking forward to my next visit already.
