Great food, profesional staff everything was on point.

A nice atmosphere, interesting and polite, friendly and informative staff. Fully recommended.

Had a fabulous and relaxed time away at this Hotel last week with my Hubby. We stayed in the Garden Room which was fantastic, so much space. Lovely Hotel, beautiful and characterful, very attentive Staff, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, delicious food 😋 with an amazing selection of beverages, we were spoilt for choice. Just the perfect place to stay and visit the surrounding areas, beautiful and will definitely be returning. Thank you 🙏 for a memorable stay ♥️ xxx.

Superb food and service on New Year’s Eve dinner very much enjoyed. Sadly the live band was very disappointing as was the expensive car park fee.

The castle at Taunton is a fabulous place to stay — we always stay when visiting Taunton The Brazz is a great place to enjoy delicious food at anytime you choose to dine 🍷🥂🍽🍽The Chapman family are very good friends and know all there is to know about fine dining & hospitality 🥂

Beautiful room. Amazing food. Lovely staff.

Our suite was so filthy we couldn't stay there. The bed was collapsing in the middle. Orange body fat stains all over the bathroom. Hoards of dust flying from the fan. Management unbelievably rude. Kept £166.50 for a room we couldn't stay in! AVOID.

Fantastic food and helpful staff the rooms have lovely art work. The hotel is full of history. Limited menu this is are second visit this mth menu hasn’t really changed. First visit was 2-3 weeks ago.

I would recomend a visit here as great service, great food and the staff are brilliant and the surroundings and castle a 10 on the WOW scale. Please go and give it a try. You wont be sorry.

Well cooked food but quite traditional (I'd prefer a more exciting menu). Service very welcoming. Cocktails weren't great.

Amazing venue, amazing service and top class food. We have been lucky enough to visit some great restaurants and this oozed class and quality.

The staff were really lovely to my parents on their 69th wedding anniversary. Clearly very well trained, to give a balance of friendly but courteous and professional. Food was lovely — thank you Liam for the 'anniversary' plate with sweets. Excellent choice of gins, lovely canapes, lots of nice little gestures throughout. Agree with other reviews about the parking charges though. Try to find a way of allowing customers to park FOC.

Great food, lovely atmosphere and staff BUT the £4 parking fee comes across as mean spirited when three of you have just spent £265 on dinner, it's the first thing other people mention when you say you had a great meal there, please go back to free parking for dinner patrons because it's irksome fly in what was a lovely evening.

Sadly the restaurant didn't have our booking, which was made several months in advance given that it was for a 60th birthday celebration, the excellent reputation of the restaurant and the time of year. Wine was very disappointing, very expensive, for supermarket quality products. Food wasn't very hot, however it was amazing. Service was lacking, more attention being paid to hotel guests, had to pour our own wine a couple of times, which shouldn't be the case in a restaurant of this calibre.

I had booked a superior Queen Bedroom for my mum and dad for their 25th wedding anniversary and for the price I had paid I was looking forward to booking them in on arrival we had been shown to a much smaller room ect which to be honest with that I could have booked better at the premier inn when we went down to the reception to complain we were seen by a very snobby stuck up young women with dark hair who I see has been mentioned a few times in reviews and she was very reluctant in changing us into the room which we should have been in this was however sorted out for us.

My husband and I went to the Castle hotel for an a'la carte meal on valentines day. When we arrived there wasn't enough parking spaces so we had to double park. The hotel is in the town centre, with various pubs surrounding it but the hotel itself is a lovely old building. My husband and I ordered the same food. We had Crab as a starter, it was well presented but had small bits of shell in it. Then we had scollups for the main course. It was very poorly presented, the scollups were under cooked and tasted slimey. It made me feel quite sick. The waitress service was not very efficient, I had to top my own water. Over all we were not very impressed. Next valentines day we will be going to Bindon Counrty House Hotel insted.

Over priced, poor service, badly cooked food served by cold and un-inviting staff, I could go on. Rightly lost its michelin star this January, seek out "the willow tree" if you want an excellent dining experience.
