Stayed here over the weekend. Whilst attending a wedding in the beautiful village of cannington. Staff are lovely and friendly. Locals gave us ideas where to go for food. Bedrooms was clean and well presented. Only down side was no food on site. Hopefully something that will be added in the future.

The room was quite comfortable however could do with a good clean. No food was being served at the King head. I should have read the reviews before booking.

Fantastic food but a bit pricey.

NEVER STAY HERE! The pub landlord was seriously drunk as well as the manager! The pub jack russel bit my ankle when we walked in! And the land lady slammed the door in our face after confrontation! The beds are solid and its not a comforting stay! Please take our advise! Unless you want your ankles eaten or have children!

The Kings Head in Cannigton was just what I needed it to be. It was cosy and the staff were friendly. The apartment style accommodation was nice as I was staying with friends who needed their own individual rooms. The sheets were clean and two of the rooms were warm. The only issue we had was that one of the rooms did not have heating (a radiator was in the room but did not work) and the beds in the same room were unconformable considering it was a cold room of course. The en suite for the same room as well needs a good clean, and the shower curtain rain was damaged meaning it was difficult to take a shower. Otherwise I would recommend this accommodation and pub to friends and family, but maybe a small investigation is required for that one room.

Olde worldy, great staff, good beer and the prices ain’t too bad. Well worth a visit.

I ve ticked poor and that was being generous hubby booked this fr my birthday and feels bad as the place was so bad we had 2 rooms one each end of the pub both were filthy with dust damp dirty bedding no window catch so could nt close window so was cold over night also made it extra noisy we booked a double room we had 2 single beds one of which was broken and had a plank of wood to support the thin mattress no hospitality no one about in morning we were shown to room by barman literally opened door handed key and left cant believe this place could pass any checks if they were ever done our complaint was answered by verbal agression.

The bedroom was clean enough but the bed was on a slant and it was difficult to stay on it! My mum slept up the other end of her bed so the blood didn't rush to her head. It is a very old pub but it does need some updating… urgently! Every time we flushed the loo it sounded as if a rocket was being launched in the bathroom. The shower was practically non existent though the thin stream of water was hot. There was no food being served so we went to another pub to eat. I understand that this pub may be very old and we were not expecting the Ritz but we also didn't expect to have to worry about rolling out of bed in the middle of the night!

Enjoyed the meal service good.

Food was nice, but what a depressing place. It's a shame. Perhaps it was just a quiet day.

The 2 star was because staff were helpful… 1st impressions count and entrance looks dirty grey dismal looking paint work… room not very clean cobwebs shower dirty my daughters room was worse. No travel cot for 1 years and under. Their bed was broken dirty cup and shower was filthy and full mold. Didnt sleep till early hours as the downstairs pub had music going to early hours and people smoking outside our window car and bikes up and down all night. Not a place I would visit again and at £54 a night little bit pricey for ☆☆ accomadation.

It is a good functional pub for meeting friends and watching sport.

When we arrived the room we had booked had been given to someone else, they sorted another which to begin with looked ok but the door lock was insecure, the mattress should have been thrown away a few years ago, the door to the bathroom didn't shut and the handle came off, there's no food served at all and to top it all we had such loud music until 2am and believe me it was extremely loud with singing, cheering and swearing. I would never stay or advice anyone to stay there.

One of the only real pubs within a20 mile radius of Bridgwater.
