Great staff, great service, great food, great rooms and wonderful ambience. Fantastic decor and valet parking. Situated a few minutes from the centre so nice and quiet but a short walk to everything. Will only book this hotel now. Love it.

A real treat! The tasting menu was exceptional, and we really enjoyed every aspect of our stay: fabulous bedroom, attentive staff, really delicious food, cool cocktails and bar area, and no scruffy areas that leave you wondering about maintenance. We voted it our new 'favourite' hotel!

Charming hotel, but even better owner/staff! First of all, there is no denial just how absolutely charming Queensberry hotel is. From the quiet, yet perfectly located, street it's on to the first moment you stepped into the historic, story-book-like property, Queensberry hotel is more than an accommodation, it is an experience… especially if you're coming from big North American cities, staying at the Queensberry transfers you to another world, going back in history. However, what truly differentiates a good hotel from a great one is its people. And not when everything goes smoothly, but when you — as a visitor traveling 3000 miles from another continent — encounter a problem. The way a hotel deals with crisis, their attitude towards their customers (in distress), the empathy they show and how they choose to handle the situation are the true indicators of an amazing hotel, and THAT is what keeps you coming back again and again. On that front, if I could I would rate The Queensberry 6 out of 5 stars! I can't lie, there had been some small hiccups during my stay with the Queensberry, one being a mistake they unfortunately made when processing my payment. It was supposed to be a stressful situation. But, the immediate and series actions the hotel staff took — and Laurence (the owner of Queensberry) himself — really touched me. To be honest, I am more impressed by the hotel/Laurence now than if I hadn't had the incident.

Beautiful hotel and lovely spacious room. Outdoor courtyard is a great place for a cigar and nightcap. Made to feel very welcome by the staff. Note, lack of AC if coming during the recent heat wave but the room we had was well ventilated with high ceilings and large sash window. Minor fault, the plumbing was a little suspect as the shower did not drain sufficiently quickly. Hope to return when the Olive Tree re-opens.

Beautiful hotel very close to the center of Bath. You can walk there in under 5 minutes. They also offer valet car service which is very convenient. My wife and I loved the decor which felt classic and elegant but modern at the same time. We felt like we were getting the true British experience in this hotel. The room we stayed in was very spacious with a beautiful bathroom and overhead shower. We walked into the room with classical music playing from the radio which instantly won us over. The view of Bath from the window of our room was also stunning. The restaurant is very good and apparently really well known. We absolutely loved our breakfast there. And the bar is great too with a classy but sleek feel. Lots of really nice places to have a drink and chat with friends or read a book. Same goes for the sitting room on the left when you first walk in. Perfect for a cup of tea or coffee in the morning with the newspapers and magazines that they provide. They offer complimentary coffee and tea in the morning, and the coffee comes from fancy espresso machines. The tea is a very high end brand and was possibly the best English breakfast tea I had apart from Fortnum & Mason in London. There are several really nice gardens in the back of the hotel with ample seating and tables. They are beautiful and very green woh lots of flowers and different plants. We enjoyed going back there to read and enjoy our drinks and/or snacks.

Great service, good value valet parking (particularly given what car parking in Bath is usually like! ), excellent breakfast in the Olive Tree restaurant in the basement and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

We have stayed at The Queensbury Hotel a few times before and loved it, so it was the perfect choice for a last minute celebration for our 8th Wedding Anniversary. The service was fantastic and our room was beautiful. The staff always make us feel welcome and relaxed. Location is perfect and valet parking is a great addition. We even received a complimentary box of chocolates and hand written card for our anniversary. I can't recomend this hotel enough. We will definitely continue to visit.

Everything you would want from a hotel. It's rare to find somewhere that is high end but doesn't look down on you. Really really friendly helpful staff, lovely rooms great location just out the way but close to city centre. Only minor niggle is there is a tea and coffee drawing room but none in your own room.

Lovely hotel, nice location. Nice view at 3rd floor. It's a bit noisy at our room though (31) there's a funny alarm sound throughout the night and we think it's the water heater or something that's installed in the wall. Will recommend.

Had a great weekend in Bath staying at the Queensbury Hotel. It's recently had a makeover, so everything looks great, though when we stayed our room still smelled of fresh paint. A little on the expensive side, else it would've got five stars.

We have finally come down to earth with huge bump after a fabulous stay at the amazing hotel. We came for our child free night away. We arrived early and they parked the car and took our bags. Our room wasn't ready but they phoned when it was. We got into our room (15) and were really impressed. We settled in for a few hours (had a quick kip) and then went to get ready. We turned on the shower and the bath tub quickly filled but wasn't emptying. So my husband rang down. 5 min…utes later the receptionist came up (we expected her to be armed with a plunger or some hole unblocker) but no she came and told us they were upgrading us. So we switched rooms (to room 10). We were highly impressed with the new room as well. We got ready and went out (to martini's — you seriously have to try it it's the best food ever! ) When we came back we settled in for the night. It was really nice in our room. There was a nice bottle of water in the room waiting and the towels and dressing gowns (which were so comfy). The staff were really friendly and helpful and offered us a map of the city. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. They even came in when we went out to sort the room and even put on the radio which made it really welcoming. The parking was impressive. When we came to leave they got the car and loaded our bags in ready for us to drive away. Breakfast was very filling and lots of good choice. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and was amazing! Had free Wi-Fi.

Great service, amazing room and great breakfast. Would be a top banana but the room was hot so has to have the windows open, and the noise from drunks over the road was annoying.

Wonderful hotel with a perfect personality to fit the Bath style. Room was beautiful and spacious. Bath is such a great town to walk through and this hotel is perfectly positioned close to down town. It is on a fairly steep hill but its certainly walk-able. Staff was friendly and the Q Bar is a must with friendly staff with excellent drink skills.

Really lovely hotel, service and room, we stayed in Room 2. Only downside was music vibrating and thumping through the walls from 7am (! ) until 11pm — could not work out where it was coming from, possibly a bar next door? Not an issue at night but was not pleasant to wake up to during a holiday.

Excellent hotel in Bath, great location to access the centre and a very personal independent experience unlike some of the other hotels. I've stayed here twice and it will always be my first choice, breakfast is really good as is the restaurant. If you are looking for space to entertain, they have amazing lounges and rooms inside as well as an incredible garden for drinks and garden parties. The bar is well stocked with artisan spirits and knowledgeable bar people, so it's also a good place to visit just for a drink with a lovely atmosphere. My only criticism is that the rooms don't have any tea/coffee facilities, even if the main lounge has a Nespresso machine available — it's not the same for that first drink of the day. Room rates are very reasonable especially for the quality of accommodation and most importantly, good beds and lovely linen. However, extras add up, service charges on top of expensive bar drinks when the service is friendly but not swift are a setback. Book directly if you can to get the best price and a little treat in your room.

My Husband and I stayed here from 11th-13th Nov. We absolutely loved our stay! The room was amazing and spotless. The service throughout was impeccable and the food was fabulous! Highly recommend and definately will be revisiting!

I went to the restaurant at The Queensberry Hotel for a dinner with colleagues. The private dining room was a good size, the service was very good and the food on the tasting menu was delicious. The only downside was the smallish room we were put in for drinks before dinner — it didn't have any atmosphere (it was a bit like a sparse living room) and the chairs were oddly placed around the outside of the room, making it hard to mingle as a group.

I couldn't imagine going to a better hotel. The staff at the hotel were absolutely fantastic and so incredibly accommodating that I couldn't believe it. Everything about the room was looked after with a keen and caring eye that showed from the moment you walked in the room. The valet option is also absolutely priceless.

Beautiful hotel and lovely comfortable room. Outdoor courtyard. No AC if you must have that but we were there in May so not needed. Walking distance to downtown and Roman baths. We ate at the adjacent Olive Tree. Food was wonderful but small portions for the price.

Great, historic property in walking distance to Bath shopping and attractions. For a hotel of its caliber, I expected a few more touches like 24-hour access to tea/coffee but overall a good stay.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at The Queensberry in Bath city centre. Wow! Just the best boutique hotel I have ever visited. We treated ourselves to the four poster room, and we weren't disappointed. It was even bigger and more beautiful than the photos online, and I did NOT want to leave. The bathroom was to die for, a really decadence. And the room was furnished and decorated beautifully. The bed is MASSIVE!
Located just a few minutes from the city centre, it is beyond perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sights. Our car was valet parked (1/2 price if you book direct) without hitch. Breakfast was awesome, cocktails to die for and staff beyond helpful. I cannot fault our weekend break, only wish it was longer. 5

3.5 stars for the room (24) but 4.5 for rest of the hotel. Make sure you don't get an attic room; the roof can't be lead (fibreglass? ) as the rain sounded like a herd of elephants in the middle of the night. Really lovely brought to the table breakfast.

We were in Bath for just a few days and we had the best start possible: this hotel is absolutely fantastic. The staff is very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much to ask. The décor is perfect, our room was very cosy, intimate, comfortable and with a splendid view over Bath. We watched two amazing sunsets. It is very close to the Circus and the Royal Crescent and also very close to two of my favourite places in Bath: Richard Bertinet’s Bakery and Raymond Blanc’s Brasserie. This hotel is a real gem and in its own way very romantic, with a beautiful garden where you can enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail in the evening and a coffee in the morning. It combines the old and the new in a very stylish way and it has a lot of personality. I couldn’t recommend it enough. Room Tip: Allow the hotel to park your car. Just for your peace of mind.

Loved the stay here! would come back, our room was enormous. Beautiful huge windows and large bed. We ate the restaurant for dinner, a delicious end to a perfect stay.

Stayed two nights, one room only, one dinner, bed and breakfast. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The bar, and the barman, was excellent with a wide and interesting range of cocktails and spirits. The restaurant was fantastic, and the service was great — only flaw was that during the meal we ended up with three separate waiters/waitresses — a slight lack of consistency that could be improved upon — but that really is a pedantic point against one of the best hotels that I've stayed in.

I booked this hotel for my fiance's birthday and he loved it! We got the Four poster suite and it was amazing! Large spacious bed (larger than kingsize) Separate bathroom with a standing bath and two walk in showers complete with bath robes and slippers. The bedroom was amazing and had flat screen television with dvds you can watch but at a price. Had an ipod docking system and it is very spacious with spotlights and modern beige colours running throughout. The staff helped us and seemed genuinley friendly. Tea and coffee was served all through the day until 5pm in the drawing room, which was a nice surprise once we had dropped our luggage in the corridor. Will definately come again but only to that room and will book in the January sale it is a bargain.
