A quaint but lovely hotel. I can recommend it. It is not top notch but for most people it will ensure a perfectly satisfying stay.

Visited for a friend's wedding, nice building, friendly staff, breakfast was nice and filling. Room was very spacious, with a massive bed in our room, clean and tidy. Shower was the only let down, pressure was literally a dribble, but there is a bath so not a huge issue at all.

I stay at the George regularly with work. All the staff are helpful and friendly. The food is very good and reasonably priced. The hotel is old but quaint, the rooms are comfortable with everything you need; a great bed, tea and coffee, hairdryer, free Wi-Fi and TV. I always enjoy my stay.

Very pleasant hotel with good car-parking facilities. Room was very nicely decorated and comfortable, but the bathroom was in need of re-decorating and a better bath/shower system. The Wi-Fi was so pathetic that I thought that it must have been broken, but the staff seemed to think it was OK… Food in restaurant/bar/breakfast was tasty and very good value for money. Overall, good value for the price we paid and we would definitely stay here again.

Lovely staff and a good location for swaffam centre. A little tired in decor … but clean, comfortable and has it's own charm.

Not bad I don't think it's a family place to eat it's to formal food and drinks quite pricey.

Good location in central Swaffham. Rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. Good parking facilities. Beds were very, very firm.

Only eaten here and its been an enjoyable experience. Food comes within reasonable times and the staff are friendly. Good atmosphere and will continue going in the future.

The room was very clean and well presented the staff friendly and helpful nothing ever too much trouble the food good on the whole, our waitress Vera really helpful real ale well kept and a good choice served by Graham an excellent barman Well worth a visit.

Ate in bar… huge portions… good value… but soft drinks rather pricey.

We stayed the night here after Thursford dinner bed and breakfast lovely place great rooms food excellent staff lovely hope to stay this year.

Friendly Bed and Breakfast. Reasonably priced day time menu. Our room needed updating. Although the bed was comfy and room clean. 70s tiles in the bathroom!

Great place to stay, stopped just for one night place was clean and tidy staff were very helpful and friendly, room was great no problems found beds really comfortable your guaranteed a good night sleep breakfast is really fresh and well presented would recommend stopping here if your staying in swaffham.

A really good place to stay with comfy rooms, good food and eccellent service.

Service first class. However (here it comes) the car park frozen surface caused my companion to go Base over apex. A scattering of sand might have helped. Back to the service, I thought the staff coped very well with the sudden influx of visitors en route to Thursford show.

Lovely venue with plenty of parking. Staff were welcoming pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed a delicious meal at The George and would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Dated but comfortable place to stay. Nice little bar with pub grub. Would stay again.

Extremely rude and dismissive woman on reception spoke over me when trying to explain something and basically told me I was wrong. Such a shame the hotel seemed nice but she put us off ever staying there.

Staff friendly, food was nice, room was clean but very warm as heating couldn't be turned off. Had to leave window open but could then hear traffic noise all night.

No room upgrade available (as a diamond select card holder) as all rooms very similar. Fair sized car park. Free drink offered as a gift for being a card holder. Breakfast is cooked to order and offers a good selection of dishes. Fair selection of dishes for evening meal.

Eaten here but didn't stay overnight. It's OK. Service is slow, the food was acceptable. Nothing really bad about the place, but nothing truly good either.

Stopped in for a quick lunch on way through town. Had sandwiches, which were good, although salad garnish was limp and not properly washed. Had two sides: onion rings, hot, crispy, tasty, and sweet potato fries which could have done with just a minute longer in the frier. Service was polite and efficient.

This is the worse hotel I have ever stayed. My husband and I were given a double room on the second floor where there was no lift. The staircase was very steep and narrow and it was difficult to get the suitcases up. Worse still, after spending a hot and sweaty day out, the bathroom shower was so weak that there was not enough water to even wash the body. There was not enough water to wash hair either and I just had to give up at the end. Later on, I found that the toilet also did not have enough watet to flush. My husband went to the reception to ask to change to another room where we could at least have a shower and wash our hair. They said the hotel was full and there was nothing they could do to help. It's an awful experience in this hotel.

The hotel is a nice quiet hotel. We had a room on the 1st floor and it was nice and kept clean. The beds are hard and I could feel the springs and the pillows are dated and hard. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. I would definitely stay again just try a different room maybe with a newer bed.

Hotel room was clean and nice but on a hot day there was no air conditioning and we had to open the window. Opening the window resulted in traffic noise and church bells every 15 mins. Would have be fine if it was a room in the rear of the hotel.

Pleasant atmosphere and very friendly staff. Could do with redecorating in places as a but tired looking. Shower didn't work properly. Good good though and bed was comfy and the room clean.

Lovely comfy rooms fantastic breakfast plus buffet area. Very family friendly.

We visited for a light lunch and felt very comfortable with the service and enjoyed our white bait.

The rooms are dated. The shower was useless. The restaurant and food was very good. An average hotel. Pleasant enough for a one night stay but in need of updating.

Why on EARTH does it have to be so hot! I couldnt suffer the traffic noise and that church chiming ever 15 minutes so had to shut the window. Managed to sleep till 4am then that was it. Cr8p nights sleep, cr8p place, never again.

Hideous, I had to stay here as could not find another room on short notice. The list of downsides is long from the road noise out the front to the complete lack of ventilation and relief from the heat. The place also seemed overpopulated with an older age group. Food was passable for a pub and in its defense it is not that expensive but I wouldn’t stay again nor recommend it.

We did not stay but the Sunday lunch is a must, loved it.
