Really good choice on lunch menu and the quality and presentation of the food was fantastic. Made most welcome and even had treats for our dog.

Our second visit with friends to The Bedingfeld Arms. Thoroughly enjoyed on both occasions. Great atmosphere, excellent and delicious food and such a brilliant place to visit and stay over.
Staff are very welcoming and friendly.
The Bedingfeld Arms were very accommodating during our most recent stay to celebrate a ‘significant’ birthday.
We will look forward to a return visit. Thank you.

We booked a table for Sunday lunch for my husbands birthday. We ordered roast beef. Food was amazing, beef just melted in your mouth. Perfectly cooked fresh vegetables, roasts and a huge Yorkshire pudding. Extra gravy supplied. Sticky toffee pudding was light and just the right amount of sweetness without it being too heavy. Fabulous meal, lovely staff. Nothing too much trouble. Lovely cosy surroundings. Very welcoming atmosphere.
Highly recommended.
Definitely can't wait to go again.

Lived here 17 years and never actually visited! A fabulous gem of a pub, I can’t fault service or meal (unusual for me! ). Incredibly dog friendly and the owner even helped us settle our new rescue dog. We totally will be back — thank you!

I enjoyed a lovely Beef Sunday Roast last weekend, lots of beautifully cooked beef and vegetables. However my husband who is not a big meat eater was disappointed for there not to to be a chicken or a turkey option available and had to have fish and chips whist I tucked in to my lovely roast.

This was a very friendly pub with a brilliant landlady who couldnt do enough for you. She even bought us a drink as we were celebrating our anniversary. Food was good and reasonably priced. Would go back if in area as was only visiting.

My partner and I have stayed here a couple of times and find it a gorgeous place to chill out as a couple. Lovely atmosphere, great outdoor space and good quality drinks too. Not over-priced and rooms perfect too!

Never known such poor memory from staff. Cleared starter plates away before everyone was finished eating — horrible table etiquette. Couldn't even remember who the birthday person was, therefore delivering surprise birthday pudding to completely wrong person. Simple orders and requests continually wrong. Took my meal coming out 4 times for them to understand the simple concept of plain burger, and even then, messed it up but gave up bothering! Food all generally pretty average and toilets gross. Wouldn't come back!

Slightly slow to get food out, however more than worth the wait. Absolutely lush burger and chicken burger. Really nice garden to sit out and look out towards Oxbourgh Hall. Would happily visit again.

Have stayed here twice now… The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful… the inn is a wonderful old building with very interesting wines and lovely food… the rooms are clean and comfy. And the gardens are a lovely place to while away the time…

Wasps! A lot of wasps! A nice gastro pub/restaurant opposite Oxburgh Hall with some odd choices of garden statuary. Well kept ales and nice friendly staff. Top notch toilets. Also wasps. If you love wasps don't miss out on a trip to the garden, they're absolutely ferocious.

Set in a beautiful Village. The Bedingfeld Arms is very well appointed with friendly helpful staff. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal outside, set amongst trees and next to the Village Church. A quiet and restful spot to end a our day. Highly recommended.

Lovely food and good service. Liked the decor too. I had the croque monsieur and my friend had the aubergine wrap and both plates were empty when the waitress took the plates away! A wonderful place to stop for a meal after exploring Oxburgh Hall.

This pub is just across the road from the lovely National Trust property, Oxburgh Hall. I only popped in for a drink but it's the sort of pub that I'd definitely visit again. There's a pub garden with picnic style benches and a lovely undercover, outside, eating area. The food looked good and plentiful. As it was a hot, sunny day, I didn't venture inside, so can't comment but what I did see looked favourable.

Room basic but nice. Dusty above eye level. Expensive as breakfast not included in £100 for night stay. Lady serving breakfast and young lad behind bar (Callum? ) very helpful and friendly. Chickpea curry not worth the money. Only vegetarian option on Sunday ☹️

It's in such a lovely setting and the outdoor lawn area is simply beautiful on a warm day. The staff are reasonably friendly but you have to engage with them first or you'll just be walked past a few times by various people. What really let this place down were the lack of vegetarian options given on a bank holiday. Also a drinks menu for the table would've been nice as we just guessed what they had and ordered blindly.

Really nice meal, chargrilled vegetarian wrap was fantastic. The atmosphere was great, nice to be able to sit outside in the sunshine. There were three of us and the other meals were lovely as well, steak sandwiches and luxury fish pie. Although there was a wait for the food we were told that before we ordered. It was worth the wait. Reasonable prices, Highly recommended.

Well, the food and atmosphere was lovely. We ordered three meals, two fish pie and a burger meal. I ordered my burger with no cheese, they brought out the three meals together but the burger had cheese on it, so I told the waiter i'd ordered my burger with no cheese and he politely took my food away and said he'd sort it out. Well I got my burger with no cheese but only after my Dad and his friend had finished their meal lol. But the food was good even if we ended up NOT eating together.

Very close to Oxburgh Hall. Popped in for a quick cup of tea as looked much nicer than the limited tea room at the Hall. What a peaceful place to sit and relax.

We had an absolutely delicious Sunday roast here, cannot fault a thing. My daughter loved her spaghetti and meatballs from the children's menu (which we tried and were so good! ) All the staff were really lovely, we'll definitely be back next time we visit Oxburgh Hall! The prices are excellent for the quality and amount of food you get too.

Food was good and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. At one point it was very noisy in the bar area but that abated quite quickly. The beer was very good. When I checked my bill (next day unfortunately) there was a gin and bitter lemon that was obviously consumed by a different table, my table neither requested nor received this drink.

Stay 2: There was a mix up with the rooms and I was allocated a twin bed instead of double. Had a knock on the door and was upgraded to a lovely suite in the main building. Above and beyond the call so greatly impressed. Stay 1: Absolutely lovely bed. So comfy. Room was warm enough but didn't appear to have radiators. Instead it had underfloor heating. I stayed there as somewhere close to work but the room did not have an iron or an ironing board. Aside from that it was a nice enough stay. Wi-Fi is free which is handy because phone reception is very poor.

Real fire and great beer especially the Bure Gold (yes, that's the correct spelling). The food menu looks fabulous although we didn't sample the food on this occasion.

This was our first time at The Bedingfeld Arms and a 35 min drive from home so we were really hoping not to be disappointed. We need not have worried. We were made to feel very welcome, as was our dog, in this charming country Inn. The service was attentive but not over done, and the food was fantastic, really tasty, fresh and spot on for portion size I think. Will definitely be coming back, thank you Bedingfeld Arms.

Accommodation was good. Had problems with the hot water but was sorted out quickly. Not a lot of options on the menu for dinner but they serve a wholesome vegetarian English breakfast which I thought was good value. Overall it's good for the weekend.

Very nice room in a great location. Room clean and tidy and had a good night sleep. TV in the room was a bit small and I had no milk to make a drink but I could have asked the staff who were friendly and helpful. Overall a good experience and would stay again.

Setting was very nice with white tablecloths and napkins. Food was good but no sauce for fish was offered and waitress did not return to check we were ok with everything. Wouldn't go out of MH way to come here but good if your going to Holkham hall.

I want to say a huge thank you to the owners of Bedingfield Arms, and highly recommend this place to all my friends! I have been there 3 times over the last few weeks. I'm veggie and on my first visit had a really tasty linguine. It was the only vegetarian dish on the menu and as I was visiting with my in laws the following week I asked if it would be possible to have something different. They offered 2 dishes which were not on the menu which I was very grateful for. On my third visit the menu included at least 2 veggie options and a vegan option too! And it was soooo tasty! The owners really are attentive and listen to their customers which is quite rare I feel. Big thumbs up one little niggle though, one of the waitresses could do with some customer service training — a bit 'attitudey' in her body language and not very professional. I felt she did not match up to the otherwise exceptional service.

Fantastic staff, great food, lovely bedrooms. Very remote, which was great for us. Only an hour from Norwich and just over an hour from Cambridge, so great for day trips.

An excellent pub and hotel… superb food and drink… with a very friendly and professional staff.

Only been here to the bar and restaurant but it is very lovely indeed. The outside seating is also very nice.

Visited for the first time hoping for a lovely lunch with my wife. Ordered 2 ribeye steaks. Asking for medium to well done. Sadly both steaks were more medium to rare one more than the other, the steaks were a poor quality and very small. We complained and rightly so the worse steak was taken back and returned cooked almost as requested. With just an apology and the lady blaming the butcher initially and then saying she would have a word with the chef we felt the insincerity of the staff. They still charged us the full price £45 including a shandy each, baring in mind one of us had finished their meal before the return of the re cooked steak. We were not compensated in any way. And no further apology as we left. We will not be visiting again.

A lovely spot for lunch! Excellent food (we had the fish and chips — lovely home-cooked chips! ), very friendly and helpful staff, and smart but comfy decor — a real find!

Thanks for being amazing hosts for my father in laws 65th Birthday Meal last night (22nd April 2017). 25 of us were seated in the gorgeous side room with lovely views of the garden for the kids to also enjoy themselves in. Food was delicious and presented to us at a very high standard for all 3 courses and was lovely to meet the owner and have her help us in the room with the music / kids etc… will definately be returning from Wales to come try some more of your gorgeous meals and lovely venue x.

Lovely country pub with good food and accommodation. By far the best place in the area that I've stayed for work.

Excellent location with lovely views. Very tastefully decorated rooms. Lovely virander outside and food and service excellent.

A few local ales to choose from and an authentic atmosphere with a proper fireplace made this a great spot to stop and rest our legs for half an hour. Can't comment on the food, but the service was quick and friendly, would recommend stopping by.

I stayed at the Bedingfeld Arms midweek for a business trip. Great service with a smile and kind and helpful staff. The food was fantastic and served promptly, the feeling was very relaxed. The room was lovely and set to a perfect temperature (underfloor heating). Next time I need to have a meeting in Norwich I'll definitely stay here again. Thank you.
