A lovely place to relax and have a drink.

We went out last night for some food. We ended up in red lion and had dinner. It was beautiful. Really one of the best meals I have had for a long time. Nice there’s another place in Spalding to go. Thanks and waitress was lovely x.

Food is fantastic, full of flavour with fabulous presentation. Starter, Main and desert equally as delicious as the other! Knowledgable staff who are welcoming and friendly: The best place in spalding by far.

Only just got here from a drive port Talbot 270 miles nice welcome helping me with my bags very kind nice room.

Great location clean & tidy great hosts very friendly would recommend it to all travellers.

Only stayed the one night but the staff were really polite and friendly the beer was bang on as well and the car park was a challenge to find all in all a great place.

Stayed with work. Was put on the top floor which was stupidly hot. Had to have the windows open all night which meant a rough nights sleep due to noise. Especially on market days. The power of the shower was shocking, TV was far too small and the bedrooms was abit dated (Newer bedding accessories would be great atleast) the staff was polite enough and the breakfast was good. Oh and parking wasn't the best either.

Very friendly, perfectly adequate, comfortable room and lovely breakfast.

It's small, has a regular older crowd but tends not to attract too much trouble if you're after a friendly and quiet drink. Musical events once or twice a year worth seeing.

Can't fault the place — traditional cosy English pub, excellent beer, a real hub of the community… and Jimi Hendrix stayed there in 1967! What's not to like?

Really friendly pub with good staff, excellent breakfast. Room a little noisy but did sleep ok. Good parking and centrally placed to visit sites around Spalding.

Very pleasant place for a coffee or a glass of wine; sometimes one of the real ales, which are kept beautifully.

Outside looked a bit tired and bar traditional feel to it, pleasant welcome. Room was newly decorated, very clean and had all facilities required. Bathroom small. Had a meal in the restaurant which was Goan. A real surprise but an excellent experience I would highly recommend. Overall it was fine, traditional accommodation. Would have no issues returning.

Never stayed at the hotel, but do call in for a pint most weekends. Good pint.

Traditional Christmas Eve venue for drinks with family and friends. Great atmosphere sure to be returning next year!

Old fashioned hotel with atmospheric public bar.

Very quiet little locals pub. A little dated but clean. Outside seating area in market place. Smokers smoke blows back into pub if windows open. However staff pleasant. Have used a few times when I've been in the area.

Jimi hendrix stayed here for 1 night back in 1967!

John the landlords son is a very likeable fella and rest of staff too. Nice to go and relax, read a paper or listen to mellow music. Live bands when on are very good. Lovely pint. Best Guinness in town.

Traditional pub serving a good range of beers, with an added bonus of a superb Indian restaurant.

The staff here are so lovely, very helpful, even got silver foil for us as needed to go our hair lol, traditional pub hotel. Twin room no 25 very spacious. Breakfast very nice good amount of toast, and right in Center of town, does have car park, long drive round town but once parked very quick walk 2 mins and you at the hotel, nice Goan restaurant attached in the evening too. Well recommended, thank you staff at Red Lion for looking after us both so well x.

Great staff and great beer.

The Red Lion Hotel is conveniently located right in the middle of the town. It is a really friendly place with comfortable, good sized rooms. The restaurant attached is superb, serving us possibly the best Indian meal we have ever had in the UK.

If you'd like 5 star service for realistic prices and a warm homely feel that beats the flat pack hotels by far come stay at the Red Lion in Spalding. Our lounge bar is a meeting place for local, national and international regulars who share great conversation and a joke or two. The Red Lion is a place where you can simply drop in for a very reasonable freshly ground coffee at £1-20, enjoy the finest real ales in the area, kept by the longest standing Landlord in Spalding. The hotel is known to welcome people of all shapes and sizes, is dog friendly and hosts the best Goan restaurant for miles.
