Excellent facilities and most importantly the staff are always so welcoming and helpful. The variety of food is exceptional and the entertainment is brilliant. The staff are always available for your needs. I would not go anywhere else it is good value for money love it.

Well worth paying the little extra the foods great self service buffet style breakfast evening meal is part b ffet part waiter/waitress service. If you can't manage the stairs book in advance for the lower floors!

Would just like to say to all the staff thanks for a brilliant 4 night stay especially Dean who just cracks us up fantastic entertainment with Buddy Lee and Lenny Anderson all the dancers. And Thanks to Kelly on reception for our fan lol. August can, t come quick enough brilliant thanks.

If you only stayed for the food and friendly atmosphere it was worth it but then u have the entertainment at night fabulous I don't watch x factor and other similar programmes but the singers and comedians could rival anything on there.

Another great family get together at the Viking hotel good food lovely staff and brilliant entertainment looking forward to our next break there.

Brill Hotel, brill staff, good standard rooms, clean and very refreshing to be there, booked again for November and looking forward to going again, once more a good 5 star.

Great food, service, "talk of the coast" nightclub, quality entertainment with host/comedian Buddy Lee. Inexpensive, rooms small but quirky place. One of the best places to stay in blackpool, been going for yrs. You'll enjoy yourself.

My nan and grandad had been coming to the Viking every February for the past 6 years and sadly my grandad had passed away over the Christmas period last year. Friends had booked with my grandparents and friends had placed a deposit on both rooms for themselves and my grandparents like they do every year. Understandably my nan didn’t want to go to the Viking without my grandad so friends had rung the Viking to ask for the deposit back they refused under the circumstances and said as far as there concerned the rooms booked and unless they can find a replacement then that’s it I found this disgusting how inconsiderate they are been now my nan has to pay the deposit back to friends when she really doesn’t need this as she is grieving. I really thought they would be more considerate but clearly not I am not impressed!

Although I would give it 3* for the room, although they were clean they are extremely basic. The staff were fantastic and the cabaret is an amazing 5*. I went midway with the stars for all accumulation of reasons. Its low cost draws in large groups of people too, who take advantage of really good food along with most others.

Easy to locate and good amount of parking. Spacious room. Good entertainment and meal. Fab breakfast and very friendly staff. Would visit again.

This is our second visit to the viking hotel. The food is top class, entertaining can be hit and miss which is not a problem you don't have to watch it. Rooms basic but very clean. Staff were excellent. Nothing was to much trouble for them.

We stayed for 1 night in a triple room with a sea view. The room was nice and clean and comfortable beds. Tea and coffee making facilities and TV. We were on the 4th floor and there was a lift to the 3rd floor then a set of stairs to climb. The breakfast and dinner was of a good quality. The entertainment in the Talk of the Coast was excellent. We would definitely go back.

Very nice hotel if a little rough at the edges in places. Perhaps the least disabled friendly hotel I've seen with a large bar area that is closed in the evening when they want to corral you to their 'night club'. The views are lovely tho, and you can watch the world and his various tartan jacketed dogs go by, along with a view of both the South and Central Pier — AND THE TOWER! Tram and bustop practically on the doorstep, Spar just around the corner, Macca Dees and Wetherspoons an easy walk — from a location point of view its smashing… The staff could not be friendlier and more helpful and as with all Choice Hotels I've stayed at the food is both plentiful and grand. My only concern would be the entertainment. There is something sadly off key (pun intended) with the entertainment. The compere is funny and engaging and holds the night together well but his overriding lustful grandad act is a little bit creepy at times when directed at dancers a third his age or the youngest member of the audience. But the real problem lies with the singers. Night after night in a hotel the advertises 'no children' singers will attempt to engage a room silver haired pint drinkers with Leona Lewis covers, Ed Sheeran and god forbid a Prince Tribute. How and why the cabaret is tailored to the audience so they might have a chance of knowing the songs I've know idea…

Stayed at the viking in room 217 bay window sea view room for two nights in September 2017. Reception staff were very helpful as were the bar staff. Room was clean and the bed surprisingly comfortable. Food was very good and the waiting staff in the restaurant were very efficient. The only negative thing was that the housekeeping was not as good as it might have been. When we arrived at our room there was an incredible smell of bleach that had been left on the complimentary drinks tray which had also not been replenished. The last residents feedback form was still in the room and when we used the hand towels on day one they were just taken away and not replaced, leaving us with only bath size towels. On the whole though a very enjoyable visit and we would more than likely stay again.

We go all-inclusive every year, no children, great compare and top entertainment. Clean rooms, food is at a good standard. Well priced for a fantastic weekend.

Had a fabulous time at the viking hotel. Food was excellent (I'm gluten free) nothing was too much trouble for the restaurant staff. In fact all the staff in the hotel were very friendly. The room was small but very clean. We was all inclusive and they spirits were well know brands Smirnoff etc. As we're the beers. The enterainment was excellent Cannot fault it will definitely go again.

Was there for one night staff were brilliant Food brilliant well worth the Money Entertainment Superb would go back again Agnes and Joe.

Great if you are over the age of 80 and don't mind your bedroom door being left unlocked and wedged against the wall from 10 am to 4.30 pm (thats how I found my room door on my return from a day out) Manager was totally unconcerned and said it was not his staff who did it.

We have been to the viking several times and love it we keep going bk.
