May, s place is best in Rochester.

I had a single room for one night and couldn't have been happier. The staff were friendly and very helpful; the room was cozy and comfortable; the full English breakfast was fast and delicious.

Central location interesting town plenty of attractions and restaurants short walk away. Hotel is quirky clean and interesting good breakfast. Only down side was rather noisy walking street out the front at night. Hotel itself was quiet clean and safe.

Gordon house hotel is a lovely place to stay my partner and I enjoyed are stay there very relaxing and clean place the delux room we had was great all what we needed in room will been staying there again every one so very friendly and nice.

The bed wasn't very comfortable and the shower was less than ideal. It seemed like the area was undesirable as well. We came back at midnight from a pub and rhetoric front doors were locked. We had to phone someone to let us in. The morning for breakfast it was very obvious that his hotel has prostitution happening in it.

Lovely staff & four poster bedroom. Coffee machine in room too. Great location. Free Parking at the rear of the hotel through the carpark to the left of the build.

Alright. Not worth the money and the room was nasty. The staff are the only reason I could award this place 2 stars as some were quite nice.

Right on the high street, this is a lovely little place. My room had a charming four poster bed and the bathroom had been recently refurbished and was lovely. I had a coffee machine and all the usual mod cons. My only gripe is perhaps that the place, although clean, is starting to look a little dated. The staff were lovely though and it was great value.

Nice Sunday dinner, great service, decent price.

Wonderfull experience everytime. Got the family suite again and its perfect for my family when they visit.

Beautiful food lovely comfy room with all mod cons. Right up to date but lots of steps as its an old building. Right in the centre of Rochester.

Not quite sure how to review this. We had lunch here while visiting Rochester on a Sunday. Whilst they were quite accomodating in giving us a table in the not so large dining room — the wait for the food was something else — the starter came ok but we must have waited a good 30-40mins for the main. When we asked we were told they had the main function room operating as well. In all we asked 3 times — and the main function room was not THAT busy. The whole thing resembled something out of a Victoria Wood sketch. The food was ok but not great and they didnt tell you what was on the specials board. Doubt if I would go back to be honest.

Great location, friendly breakfast staff, but unhelpful reception, and family room smelled of smoke. Several bits of furniture in the room were also broken, and so were some light-bulbs. Not a great place to stay.

We attended a vow renewal celebration and was really impressed. The food was lovely and staff are friendly.

I regularly come home to Kent to see my friends. Before I discovered this little gem of a hotel, I always stayed in a hotel in Gillingham to use as a base. Due to the friendly and helpful staff, the cleanliness of the rooms and the overall atmosphere of the hotel, this is now going to be my point of stay. If you enjoy laying in bed or chilling in your room listening to the Cathedral bells and people outside enjoying themselves, as I do, then I totally recommend staying here.

Have only visited during the Sweeps festival when they have a large beer tent out the back with music stage. Always great.

They had a beer tent out the back with live music. We sat in the dining area. Staff friendly, lots of atmosphere. Comfy sofas and a great range of beer.

The hotel itself is well equipped for functions, the staff are very polite and friendly and most importantly helpful. We was visiting for the Rochester sweeps festival, and every year they hold the most fantastic music event in the beer garden. I cannot comment about the rooms but the interior of the hotel such as the bar and lobby are nicely furnished and the staff were very welcoming. I really enjoyed spending time here.

Amazing service! We turned up after a wedding when we had nothing booked and they went above and beyond to accommodate us. On top of that the food is amazing and staff were really friendly xx.

The place was for, as in this case, about 100 people clearly too little. The drinks are probably not everyone's taste but that is probably different tendierent among the guests.

Some reviews on TA led me to worry about staying here. It's v cheap with a reasonable quality breakfast. We were in room 6 on the 2nd floor facing the High St with the cathedral on our right. Both sash windows opened smoothly & were well sealed so not draughty. The room was quite big & the bathroom was fine with a shower only so no bath. There was hot water!
We would not hesitate to return — good value.

For one night still acceptable, breakfast rather of moderate quality, Wi-Fi only went limited.
