We stayed at The Spa with our friends. The rooms were lovely, reasonably priced, beds were very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definetly recommend. Will be going back soon.

Afternoon tea! Not a pleasant experience, manager insinuated the hair we found in a sandwich was from one of us — absolutely did not come from us as was IN the sandwich. Very poor choice of sandwiches, two salmon between four people, but here you are, have extra ham because they were “left over! ”Bar staff unprofessional and scruffy. On the plus side, restaurant waiting staff pleasant enough.

Lovely place, helpful staff and the only place I’ve ever been that when I’ve pre warned them that the wife is vegan, they handed her a vegan menu on the day without needing a reminder.

Stayed for 2 nights if a real special treat recommend room 301, great friendly cheerful staff food amazing loved it.

Great wedding venue, very well organised & a beautiful backdrop.

Our room had been re furbished, and was delightful. We had everything we needed for a one night stay, and enjoyed the pool and gardens.

Amazing hotel, always have a truly fabulous time, and during these difficult time the hotel is so relaxed and thoughtful. Staff are so helpful, friendly and professional. Love it here.

Visited for a picnic and jazz singer in the grounds. The staff did a fantastic job and were very friendly. They had set up seating so that we were all distanced, the picnic was lovely and made a lot easier by the temp bar that was also set up. Ordered pizzas from the pizza oven too and all of them were absolutely delicious. Highly Recommended.

Had a lovely night away with my husband for our anniversary a lovely place very helpful staff and beautiful setting highly recommended.

The customer service here has been second to none. I am so impressed.
Hotel room was immaculate, could eat your dinner off the floor.
The spa and facilities are good and the pool is the perfect temperature.
Special mention to Cornelia in the spa — what a wonderful lady! She made my treatments extremely relaxing and also had a lovely chat and a laugh! She deserves a little treat from management please!
I would definitely return and definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice break.

Went to Spa for weekend stay to attend my best friends’ wedding. The venue is great, the staff and organisations was fantastic. Thanks to Tina and all the staff for a superb day.

This hotel is in a beautiful and relaxed setting. Buildings are well furnished. All the staff were friendly and exceptionally helpful!

Went for a spa day with cream tea. Spa was wonderful and treatment (facial) was lovely. Not to impressed with cream tea some of the bread was really stale, when we returned it they literally sent one Sandwick back, no compensation, not really very good customer service.

We were married there on the 14/7/19 and everything went like clockwork, thanks to the lovely efficient staff who worked like a well oiled machine. We have even booked our next stay which will be the anniversary of the date when Gillian and I first met. We were a party of 53 and for the amount of people to provide a fabulous wedding breakfast was outstanding. The cost you would think would be expensive given the beautiful venue but it wasn’t. Extremely good value we thought. Our thanks go to all the staff at the Spa Hotel for making our day so special.

The staff here are so friendly and couldn’t do enough to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We were kindly upgraded and The room we stayed in was stunning. The outside grounds are so beautiful to walk around. We had a treatment each and used the spa facilities again the staff there were so friendly and welcoming. We had lunch and drinks in the bar and this was lovely and again friendly, polite, smiling staff. We will most certainly be returning again.

Had a wonderful birthday lunch in the Chandelier Restuarant with my best friend here today. Absolutely divine! The food was amazing and the waiting staff were so very attentive, we couldn't have asked for more!
Will 100% be returning, may be with my Husband next time! Thank you Spa Hotel.

Very nice grounds and building, well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. I've not stayed the night here, just used the Spa facilities, which are good and very clean.

Wonderful stay as usual food staff excellent. Really enjoyed The Greatest Showman. A lovely setting.

Lovely entrance. Redecorated fairly recently. Had coffee in the orangery — mistakenly though this would be nice, but I really didn't like the modern (ish) decor. Also, the service was very slow and the staff forgot to bring the bill when we asked for it. The biscuits that came with the coffee were outstandingly scrumptious. I have been to the Spa hotel for several family functions. It has always been fine. The service let it down this time.

Came here with my partner and it is a wonderful hotel! The staff are friendly, the room was beautiful, and I thoroughly recommend a massage in the Spa. Would definitely stay again.

Seemed a nice place. Attended as a wedding venue. Plenty of space. Nice rooms. Wish the sound system had been tested.

Very nice boutique hotel. Rooms are a nice size. Big bathrooms, which is also nice. Staff were wonderful. Food was ok. It's at the top of a very steep hill so I didn't go into town. The gardens and grounds are beautiful.

Just dropped in to meet someone in the foyer, very hospitable, had a cup of tea while waiting. Staff very friendly and accommodating. I was not even staying there. Great experience, highly recommended.

Our second visit in 5 weeks and the hotel once again we were not disappointed. From the excellent welcome at reception on arrival, our upgraded spacious very clean room, beautiful gardens, great spa facilities. The weather was on our side so the hotels convenient location to the Pantiles meant a pleasant walk through the park for an evening meal. Highly recommended the hotel.

Awesome place if you are looking for a wedding venue in the area. Great space inside and outside, good food and nice staff. I documented a wedding there recently and the Spa and the grounds made for really nice backdrops to the photos.

Went for afternoon Tea, food and tea was lovely. Would highly recommend this at the Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells. The wife and I were very impressed with the service.

Stayed for two nights and was very impressed with the hotel itself. Friendly staff on arrival and room upgraded. Room was clean and decor was lovely! Bed was also very comfortable. Had dinner in the Brasserie on our first night and was pleasantly surprised! Duck and lamb was cooked to perfection. Tasty cocktails and very attentive service. Would definitely recommend this restaurant if staying. The afternoon tea was also delicious! The only reason I haven’t given this hotel 5 stars is because the spa lets it down. First of all we was not told that the robes were in the wardrobe in a bag in our room, so we went to the spa empty handed then had to go back up to our room to get the robes. I then asked the woman at the spa reception if I could have some slippers/flip flops to walk around in to which she said they didn’t have any but if I wanted I could go to the main hotel reception to purchase a pair for £1.50. Not only would this been inconvenient to go to get the slippers I would expect this to be included in the price of a spa facility which I have been used to from previous spa experiences! Nevertheless the massage and facial was amazing! The pool was very small and had no real feel of relaxation as it was overlooked by the gym! Also there is a females and males only sauna. Which I appreciate some guests may like however isn’t very good if you are away for the weekend as a couple as we couldn’t relax in the sauna together.

Visited for mother's Day for a massage and afternoon tea. Massage was great, exactly what was needed and very friendly staff. Afternoon tea was lovely, amazing food and very good service, catering for all our needs with no bother.

Having had Spa Days in the past with yourselves, which have been a real treat for myself & my friend & booking full day packages with two spa treatments, lunch, champagne etc we were yet again disappointed by you lunch choices! We have mentioned it twice before, but felt embarrassed this time to do so again, especially as we stupidly ordered the chicken Cesear salad which has anchovies in & doesn’t say so on the menu! Apparently it’s standard practice, but as we’ve pointed out twice now it should be shown on the menu in case of allergies & when asked was everything ok both the waiter & Spa receptionist didn’t do anything about it & made us feel very uncomfortable in answering them! We were very pleased with our treatments, the other staff & facilities but feel if you ask customers a question, be prepared for an answer & perhaps be sympathetic to it! Really not impressed after the amount of money we spent with yourselves!

The accessible facilities that enabled my daughter to celebrate her birthday and spend a comfortable night at the Spa are excellent. The staff were very understanding and kind and we appreciated this very much. Thanks to everyone. Jean Morton.

The food was fantastic, the mutton was particularly good. Staff were very friendly and helpful, they worked with us to make sure we had the best room for our needs. We even ordered items not on the menu and they went out of their way to accommodate us. The only negative of the whole stay was the coffee wasn't very nice.

Peaceful location, beautiful interiors, great facilities in the room (hot shower, tea/coffee and comfy armchairs), the staff were lovely and helpful. The rooms were spotless and the bed was very comfortable. We also enjoyed the gym and spa facilities. Ladies sauna was great (very hot and dry) and the swimming pool, although not particularly large, was big enough to get a few lengths in. All in all, perfect stay!

Friendly polite and helpful staff. Clean comfortable and well equipped room. Easy access to the shops. Plenty of parking including a motorbike specific area. Had a lovely stay.

Was very underwhelmed at The Spa Hotel. Most the staff lacked warmth and consistency with service especially upon hotel entry. Rooms were dated and dusty. The Signiture rooms far exceed all the other room options but you pay a huge premium in comparison. But even in this 'luxurious' room standard the bed display cushions smelt strongly of awful greasy hair. Had obviously never been washed since set on the bed, even the house keeper agreed and whisked them away. Best part of this hotel are the grounds which are very picturesque. Much better options available in the Kent area. Came with a large party and we all agreed we wouldn't be returning especially after our fair feedback was dismissed — customer retention and satisfaction doesn't seem to be a priority here.

Very nice time at the hotel. Evening meal very nice. Was disappointed with breakfast and informed them about it. Didn't get a lot of response. For the price of the breakfast I expected it to be freshly cooked. It had obviously been sitting for a while as sausage was hard, mushrooms full of water (not sure if fresh or tinned) and only warmish as though it had been sitting in tray. Only disappointing part of the stay.

Been there a few times. It's a nice looking place with good size rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food is good and there is a nice range of drinks. The only thing I would say is that it can be a little pricey, but you do get a good experience so on the whole it's worth it.

Beautiful set up for a Christmas meal, professional service and well curated, with very good food. And very accommodating staff. A we'll run establishment.

A pleasant hotel with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Set back enough from the road so as not to be noisy like a lot of hotels in Tunbridge Wells and double glazed to make sure. Blackout curtains ensure a good night. Can only speak for the rooms and the lobby but a good night sleep is key.

Been here twice now and it's lovely. It's relaxed and quiet. It's for everyone I do feel I should be slightly posh to come but it's not like that at all and all are welcomed here. Set on beautiful grounds and the rooms lovely and big. Drinks fairly expensive but there are also lovely pubs within walking distance that are worth a visit.

Just oozes class, the room was beautifully decorated, the bed by far the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The breakfast worth every cent, and the staff professional and polite. Flawless, absolutely fantastic place to stay.
One criticism if I may, to turn off the bedside lamps I had to get out of the bed.

Food was delicious, the wedding reception was great, the bedroom was large, but just a 4 foot 6 inch wide bed that was only 6 feet long. I'm over 6 feet tall. I thought beds were usually 6 foot 3 inches long… after all the room was large enough to have a large bed. The bathroom was lovely and clean, and well provided, however, the shower leaked over the floor. The location is excellent, however, but I would not plan to stay here again.

We stayed in a Cosy Deluxe room which was absolutely lovely and big with all mod cons. The bathroom had a bath and a shower which was a surprise, both were spotlessly clean. We used the pool facilities which were okay, the pool was a little chilly for one of us. The breakfast the next day was lovely and the staff couldn't do enough to make the whole experience 5 star. Lots of choices for breakfast.

I stayed here for two nights in September as I was visiting Tunbridge Wells on business. The lady in reception was friendly and helpful. However, the main reason for this review is for the restaurant and the quality of the food. There was a nice atmosphere and the staff were very good. But the food — Wow! Absolutely superb! I tried something different each night and it didn’t disappoint. Compliments to the chef as it was simply delicious.

Lovely pub, very cosy. Good service. Great to pop in just for drinks, or stay for good food. Always a winner!

Excellent local Tunbridge Wells hotel. Elegant, spacious and equipped with a first class gym and spa. Worth every penny!

Visited to attend a training course. Beautiful location with plenty of parking, good facilities. Friendly staff and everything provided that I needed, great experience.

I have stayed in many a hotel with my children. However nowhere has made me feel as bad as here did. I complained on multiple platforms still to feel condersended I asked to speak to the hotel director only to be given an address. To that I have had no response. Spoilt my memories of my little brothers wedding. Children not welcome. In the bar they would rather serve interests of regulars than hotel guests. Poor slow service that had an impact on my children. I felt bullied and humiliated but the duty manager. I wanted to check out and get my money back however this was refused as I had paid in full on check in.

Met some friends for breakfast as they were staying at the hotel. Fantastic, fresh, grease free cooked breakfast with all the trimmings along with a lovely little pain au choc! Staff friendly and attentive, lovely surroundings!

Attended for a funeral wake… lovely venue — excellent service but did enquire too many times when to clear food away. Was never the right time or moment given the circumstances of the day. … but always attentive to requests. To which am thankful for.

We booked late notice for a family visit and we are not disappointed. They upgraded us to beautiful room (bridal suite) which is very big, separate seating area, super king bed and beautifully decorated. Customer service has been excellent and we would happily recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Tunbridge Wells.
Having stayed at a number of other establishments over the last few years this is by far the best we have stayed in at this price.

Nice stay. Held my father in law's 70th here. Spa itself is a bit tired and the grounds and restaurant are lovely.

The hotel is lovely in beautiful well cared for grounds. We were upgraded (free of charge) to a top teir room with four poster bed which was great. Also given extended check out without any problem. Staff all very nice and helpful as you would expect. Only problem was food was a bit hit and miss. Had roast pork on Sunday, the crackling was perfect but the meat was too dry. Everything else on the plate was great. Best morning the full English was a bit sub standard. Bacon was not cooked fresh and the scrambled egg was not seasoned and was a dry. All said it is a nice hotel and we enjoyed it. Would go back and probably eat out.

We stayed at the spa hotel for a wedding, they were really helpful when booking about the size of room we would need for a travel cot. And provided us with an early check in. All tje staff were very polite and helpful and the style of the room and furnishing was of a really high standard. Would love to come back and try thr spa facilities.

Excellent view from the outside, as I rode past with my delivery order. However, I have attended some functions here in the past, and can easily recall that the service was not only warm and welcoming, but friendly and swift. The rooms are kept to the highest of standards, and the menu and beverages are exquisite. Would happily stay for a while, and highly recommend.

This lovely hotel and the wonderful front-of-house staff are let down by poor catering. Reception staff are charming and helpful and always ready to go the extra mile for you. Could not fault them in any way. The rooms are lovely with wonderful airy bathroom and individual styling (no corporate look here). However. Could do with a fridge in the room as it was sizzling when we were there. Great air-con, though. Huge and very comfortable bed. Lovely. Strange positioning of TV! Service in Zagatos is dreadful — very friendly staff but so slow and making repeated mistakes (asked for hot lobster and got cold lobster. When pointed out it was taken away and brought back ten minutes later. STILL COLD… we put up with it! And how many times should you have to get up out of your seat to find out what's going on. We weren't in a hurry but. Hey! Come on guys! Smallest lobster I have ever seen! Breakfast staff with attitude. Oh my. And when the pastries run out by 8.15am it's pretty poor really. Asked for decaff coffee and was told it's only instant. Really? the regular coffee that my wife had was grey and ghastly. How come you can't get this right when hotels at half the rate do all the time? Asked for a slice of bread and another rack of toast came out. Said that it was "bread" I wanted. Greeted with unbelieving looks and a reluctant trip back to the kitchen. Really, really poor.

The hotel has great character and has been very well restored in beautiful grounds, the rooms are lovely (spacious room well worth the extra money). The evening meal was good but I didn't think the breakfast was great. The spa facilities were well maintained and a nice way to spend some leisure time but the swmiming pool is very small. If you are staying in the area, I would recommend this hotel, good location.

The bottomless brunch was amazing! There was a great selection of food and it was all delicious, the dj was spot on with the music and the staff were attentive — as soon as you finished a plate or glass they were there to offer you the next one. Would definitely recommend and will be coming again :)

Went for a Valentine's WE at the hotel. Room was lovely and spacious. Only complaint is the heated towel rail made the bathroom and adjoining corridor uncomfortably hot. Meal and breakfast were of a good standard. Was a little pricey but in line with similar standard hotels. All in all, enjoyed the experience.

Beautiful hotel close to the town center, I was attending a professional event and to be going to such a nice hotel was a nice surprise. The room we used was spacious and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Stayed for our wedding night, offered the bridal suite and arranged champagne for the room, but we were put in a simple ground floor room. A perfectly ok room, but decidedly un-special. Dissapointing!

It was great and the location is very useful for exploring the local area. They should advertise the fact there is a pool that guests can use more. We were well treated and would return.

After car problems the hotel graciously put us up with next to no notice. There seemed to be a few functions in so we were lucky to get a room after trying several other places. The staff were efficient and friendly. The breakfast was a buffet and only average. We didn't pick our room as it was the last they had but it was clean and spacious. The bathroom in particular was enormous. The decor was a little dated but in keeping with the grand building.

Comfy beds in clean rooms and a good location. Relatively expensive but worth it.

Stayed on Thursday Nov 26th in room 110. Bathroom brilliant, bedroom drab with four poster resembling a coffin with bright halogen lights implanted in headboard — hardly for romantics. Bar/brasserie too bright with no atmosphere and too many chairs requiring the use of ladders to each the seat. Breakfast not taken as served from 7am till 9.30 presumably aimed at people staying for business reasons Fortunately only a ten minute walk to town to have dinner in atmospheric pub with a guitarist as entertainment rather than in the soleless main restaurant in the hotel.

The room was well equipped and spacious given the price and very clean. The bed and pillows were far too soft for my taste but for a short stay, no big deal. Staff were friendly and polite. Breakfast was okay, if a little chaotic as the staff seemed confused. We'd be happy to stay again.

The spa here is fantastic. I actually did not pay much attention to the other things because after the massage I was walking on clouds and went quickly to sleep in my room. I felt so relaxed, like the masseur lift up all the burden from my shoulders. And the oil she used was amazing – my skin is so soft and with a nice aroma…. Magnificent treat!
