The hotel and staff lovely but the heat in the room was horrible and the fan was weak.

This place is too old fashioned no air con and in this heat I felt like I was in a oven, sat in my van with the aircon on for over a hour and staff are rubbish, good luck if you book here.

No air con, room was so hot the pedestal fan did nothing, only 2 sachets of coffee, the shower didn’t stay hot, went hot cold for the shower Room was small so it held the heat, and could only open the window a little bit.

Staff with attitude am not happy with hate the place.

A regular user of Premier Inn when going anywhere in the UK & the only one I have ever had reason to complain about. Arrived to great parking & more than enough even when the hotel is full. However then went downhill. Got given a room that as soon as we walked into was clearly the wrong one. Was dirty, used & recently used as mist & heat from the shower still present. Went down to complain — Ooops we were given a room that another guest had just been taken out of due to a bathroom blockage. So why were we then minutes later given it?! Another guest there at the same time who had been given a room someone else was already in! We got given a new room that apparently a manager had checked first. They clearly hadn’t as when we went in, only one bed was made up, the toilet seat was covered in dry pee marks & no toilet roll in the room. Had to go back down & get it rectified. Plus offered a free breakfast which we took. During the night I discovered the shower was leaking, bed was broken so didn’t stay together & the “double” bed duvet had yellowly brown crusty food stains on it. Aimed to talk to the manager when in at 10am so after only 3 hours sleep, went to breakfast. Breakfast was missing most items — fresh fruit, croissants, fruit salad, broken coffee machine, low on fruit juice & had to wait for half the cooked items as weren’t being regularly topped up despite only the middle of the service time. Fortunately now free as not worth the original £9.

Usual high standard rooms for the price. A Miller and Carter on site a huge plus.

It was nice and quiet and there's a restaurant next door, although very pricey. Staff on reception were friendly.

Never again cold and tiny didnt sleep was so cold and all we got from the guy the night before was turn it up … I did … recommend a pizza place that charged us to bring it to the hotel and extra charge just because they wanted to, when asked if there was a domino's or pizza hut said no but lied, was a domino's up the road …

Good location (just off M25), 20 min walk to rail station (for Euston) ; and very friendly staff!

Nice clean room, helpful staff and a good brekkie.

Fab hotel, lovely little town, great for Harry Potter Studios and we got the train to London which is 25 mins on the train. Fab family room, bargain price, comfy big bed xxx.

Great place, lovely sized family room, clean and well kept and staff were friendly and accomidating. Also had good parking on site, a Toby carvery next door and was set back of the road so quite as well. Only reason this is four and not five star was no AC in the room. This would usually be no issue but as it was 30 degrees outside this made the room some what warm. Would stay here again but possibly winter time rather than summer.

First Premier Inn we've stayed in for a while and mostly I'd struggle to fault it. Everything was clean the room was good, bed very comfortable, breakfast was good, eggs done to order and other items not left too long under the heated area. Chef was very pleasant and other staff were helful and friendly. The only fault I would say is that we were on the lower ground floor which was quiet but so hot and airless. I guess the current warm spell doesn't help and I'm not sure they could do much about it. Would certainly consider using again. Thanks.

What's not to like? Clean room, friendly staff and a nice breakfast. 2 minutes away is a high street with everything you need restaurants (Indian and pizza), bars and the all important off licence. Only 30 minutes from Heathrow. Would stay again for sure.

Beds comfy, Great Staff, Great Facilitates, thanks for the Fan in the room, Room was like a sauna, glad you had cold water for showers to bring temperatures down. Literally 2 nites restless sleep in a sauna, I feel like ive been to a spa. All good if you sort out your AC we may return.

Lovely welcoming place. Staff are excellent. Very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. Thanks to all staff. We will be back next year.

A recent refurbishment has given this establishment a very nice feel and a very good finish. It would have been excellent if they had put a wet room walk in shower in the disabled room. They choose to put a shower over the bath with extra hand rails and call it an assisted disability room. An opportunity missed if you ask me. So I have deducted 1 ★.

Not the best one we’ve stayed at. Staff very nice and helpful. Although we had no towels once we asked they were delivered in minutes. Had a slight mixup with breakfast booking but again sorted in minutes. Was very hot and had no air con so we were provided with a fan. If the room was bigger would have had 2 as wax difficult to place it where the 2 adults and 2 kids would have all been happy!

As you'd expect from a Premier Inn. Room was slightly on the small side but clean and comfortable. The rooms on the lower ground floor do get quite hot, but fans are provided. Good location if you're looking for a London city break and parking is free which always helps! Decent service from freibdly staff.

Great stay, perfect for Harry Potter. Breakfast area SMALL so you need to book! Food was good and knowledgeable over gluten free items. Staff were lovely and very welcoming. HUGE bed which was very comfy. Had to ask for tea bags a few times as housekeeping only put 2 in room at a time but it wasnt a problem. Only downside was NO air con which on a record breaking bank holiday weekend was fairly awful! We had a fan but all it did was move hot air around! Would go again but avoid in hot weather!

I was there to take the Pokemon GO gym from the church next door. From what I saw of the car park the Premier Inn was top notch. Was a place to park my car and everything. Team Mystic for the win.

Toby Inn restaurant attached to the Premier Inn, Kings Langley. Very, very disappointed with the meal and the service. Arrived at 5pm. Restaurant empty. Gammon and beef on the carvery was obviously really finished and dried out but chef still cut a portion for my husband and me. When we said it wasn't really acceptable, was ignored. We really should have refused and left. My daughter had a ploughman's which included gammon Portion was extremely small and also dried up. No pickle, no dressing on salad and no chick peas. After a deep discussion no charge for the ploughman's but evening spoilt. Previously all meals have been excellent. Obviously under new management or standards have seriously slipped.

When I stayed here it was only for one night. I went in the beginning of the year so it was quite chilly but the duvet was very thick on the main bed but a different story for the beds that had clearly just been chucked into any space they could be where the duvets felt more like quilts and were not nearly long enough for me and my friend who ended up on the single beds. Although the breakfast was amazing. Anything you could think of having for breakfast was there. The staff are also very nice and friendly. Overall I would go back but maby bring a blanket with me.

Arrived at 16.00hours to no electricity in the building so was unable to book in, a lovely lad on the desk trying his best to sort everything out, on being allocated our room we were disappointed about the cleanliness of it, mould on the window frames, very very dusty, chipped mug and numerous other small issues. Next morning whilst leaving, opened our door to dirty and clean linen, plastic wrappers all over hallway that we had to clamber over, whilst moaning to my husband a rude arrogant woman came from one of the rooms speaking rather rudely to us saying they only had 3 housekeepers, but this should not warrant them to put dirty laundry in the corridor as it could be tripped on. However the breakfast was lovely.

Good night rest after Harry Potter Studio Tour. Breakfast room is tiny so we accepted their offer of a refund on the breakfast and headed to a fast food chain. Only criticism was that we had to chase for the refund.

Stayed here for one night as a family group over 3 rooms as all going to Harry Potter Studio following day. The staff we interacted with were all very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean, tidy, warm and serves your needs for a low budget place to stay with a good size car park outside. Only thing I'd say is the rooms need a little tlc to make them feel fresher as paint was peeling in parts. Also I'd agree that the kitchen/dining area was small for the number of guests who could be staying at one time. However as we had an early start and had prebooked our breakfast table this didn't effect our stay.

Comfy beds, very clean and good breakfast. Good value for money.

Receptionist took ages to answer desk buzzer and was only out the back. He also failed to tell us about where breakfast was and the good night guarantee. Just as well I am not a mystery shopper!

Stay here every month when visiting family and have always found the staff very friendly and helpful and the rooms clean and comfortable.

Stayed over before went to Harry potter tour. It is what it is. Nothing spectacular but was a clean decent place, and staff were very friendly and helpful with places to go for drinks food etc. Breakfast was decent and I'd definitely stay there again. I wasn't expecting the earth. Not sure what some people are expecting. It's not a 5 star hotel and doesn't pretend to be. Reality check needed!

Room was comfortable and well laid out, as expected from most other Premier Inns that I have stayed in. Good location and easy to find and park. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only two minor negatives, cleanliness was not the best, some 'just out of sight' areas of the room had obviously not been cleaned for some time and the breakfast room was too small for the size of the hotel.

Excellent showerwith very friendly staff and very clean rooms. Reservation will be required for breakfast 100%. In the restaurant, DAVID was very friendly with excellent and natural customer service manners. Gracias David. Best Regards. Oscar De Peña.

All well except for lack of towels
. We never had two sets of towels on any of the five mornings we were there! Heloful staff though!

Not the friendliest of place. Staff welcome is lacking and don't really make you feel welcome. This is fourth time I've stayed at this hotel, and 3 out of 4 times they have given two twin beds joined as opposed to a double which I have booked. There always seems to be maintenance issues. Hotel could do with modernisation. For the price I would recommend somewhere like the holiday Inn, as that a fresher look and is around the same price, hence why I only stay at the premier Inn when the holiday Inn express is full.

Room very clean & suitable for our needs. Stayed for one night & were more than happy with out room. Just a short distance from Harry Potter & close to the train station to visit central London.

The young lady at reception was fantastic! Really kind and helpful. Really goes out of her way. I was in a different room to the actual room I was meant to be in. But I loved the room! It had an amazing long mirror opp the bed and good size TV. Bathroom was good. The little security features inside/out are also good-makes one feel safe. The people are so nice round here.

When we arrived, we had a 45 minute wait to check in due to a family holding up the queue. This is despite 3 people working on the front desk. The three staff were all dealing with this one family, rather than working on the queue. It was fantastically cold in the room. The heating just wasn't giving off any heat. We had an OK night. Not a great night.

Had a terrible 9 night stay. Out of the 9 nights the room was only cleaned for 5 nights. We came back to an unmade bed, dirty towels, dirty cups in our room. One night arrived back at 9.30pm to find the whole corridor strewn with piles of dirty towels and sheets. The breakfast room was too small for the number of guests. And on most days there was stuff missing, ie milk, bread and on one day no breakfast as the chef hadn't turned up to work Chamber maids who were Eastern European, were rude and serely spent most of their time smoking and talking on their mobile phones outside the fire door at the end of our corridor. Every night and morning there were dozens of people at reception complaining to The harassed staff. I only saw the manager once whilst chaos rained down. Premier Inn You need to get down to this hotel and sort it out.

Seemingly newly refurbished with the smell of fresh paint. Attentive and pleasant staff. Try to avoid parking under the large tree at the car park entrance as my car was bombarded with bird poo one night; not just one splat but multiple 'Gifts' from above. They must have eaten very well that day. Not a fault of the hotel but nature!

Just come back from a weekend away we stopped in family room arrived 2 hours early so receptionist even though we were early changed our room to one that was ready and let us check in early. Room lovely and clean and staff are very accommodating will definitely be stopping here again next time we visit London.

Oh dear… breakfast is served in a tiny room that holds around 24 people. It's self service and on the first day of our stay I got there to be met with having to wait for eggs, bacon, black pudding etc which so rather than wait till they were ready and find that they then ran out of something else I ate breakfast in two halves. On the second day we went for the breakfast we had paid for when we booked at 9 am only to find that it didn't exist. Lots of irate guests but refunds were given. Our stifling hot room (window was open all night in October! ) never saw a house keeper. The bin outside the reception door and all the bins in the car park were overflowing. Great location for a visit to the Harry Potter studio was the only positive.

Was nice stay. Not overly impressed with the evening food as only tony carvery next door available. Room was nice and comfortable and receptionist was nice.

Stayed in room 119. Clean and tidy as expected in a Premier Inn. Receptionist, Craig, very helpful in pointing us to a local restaurant for dinner. Quiet hotel.

Could be nice but they are doing the place up and it stinks of paint. Also they had a problem with the smoke alarms and they were loudly clicking all night ever 45 seconds! it was like playing Russian roulette all night. Also the toby carvery next-door stinks.

Significantly sub-par for a Premier Inn for several reasons : room a bit outdated, bed failed Good Night Guarantee, brand new breakfast room quite small, continental breakfast quite mediocre and just about reasonably priced. Disappointed.

Being refurbed when I stayed but had no effect on my enjoyment. I had a new style room. Smaller than usual but acceptable. No room for a suitcase, so would be cramped if two people stayed. Big TV. Plug sockets in all the right places. Walk in shower instead of the shower over stupidly small bath you normally get and no more smelly shower curtains. Single chair instead of chaise lounge (? ) which was much more comfortable. Would choose this one over Hemel Central.

Standard Premier Inn. Fairly small. Good car park. Very small dinning room! Often need to book a breakfast slot or be disappointed.

Hotel is in a nice location. The room was slightly smaller than most Premier Inn rooms I am used to. Room hadn't been cleaned to the standard I am used to. We went to breakfast at 7am to find it was still being set up. As a result, I did not get the hot breakfast I wanted. From what I overheard this was due to staffing issues. Even considering that, the breakfast facilities are tiny for the size of the hotel. With other Premier Inns/hotels close by, I would choose not to stay at this one again.

Although there was a big refurbishment going on at the time I was there the rooms were spotless, staff very friendly and helpful, couldn't be anymore helpful. I went for breakfast late (about 15 minutes before ending) the breakfast was still fresh & hot plus if you wanted something that wasn't out they would cook it for you. It's adjacent to a Toby Carvery & on the edge of the village with easy driving distance to local attractions,

Clean hotel. Really friendly and helpful staff. Still a bit a building and refurbishment going on, but you would barely notice. New breakfast room and breakfast selection excellent. Next door is a Toby carvery, which is a Toby carvery and a bit tired. The wood panel wall paper is funny!

Friendly staff, super clean, comfy beds, perfect for business trips. Only complaint would be menu is unhealthy and vegetables are not really part of standard meals.

The hotel is in a lovely place, really quite but not too far from major roads. It's a half hour walk to the overground train into London. There's no restaurant but there's a Toby carvery right next to it. You can get a free Costa coffee and pastry from the reception if you don't want a cooked breakfast which is really nice.

Stayed for one night after a party at a nearby venue. Room was standard 'Premier Inn' stuff — big bed and a clean, bright bathroom, but the TV wasn't properly tuned, so the BBC channels broke up, and there's no bedside plug for a phone charger. Car park wasn't very well lit in places. No restaurant here, so it's a 'grab and go' breakfast of Costa coffee/tea from a machine, and a muffin or pastry. Coffee was good but the only cups available are Costa large-sized, which don't work well for a morning espresso.

We had a pleasant stay at the Kings Langley Premier Inn. I recommend anyone visiting the Harry Potter Studio Tour to stay here, as it is only a 10 minute drive away. The front desk and staff were incredibly nice and gave some great advice on what to do in the area. The front desk were also very helpful with our problem on our arrival; it appeared that we hadn't yet paid for our stay and had only reserved our stay although we thought we had paid. This was our mistake and they explained the reason for this and said the card hadn't been charged until we arrived. The parking was adequate, hotel and our room was kept very clean. Though we didn't spend too much time in the hotel, other than sleeping, it left a great impression on us! Our sheets, towels and surfaces of desk, counter and bathroom were all regularly cleaned during our stay. Also if anyone enjoys good quality pub food, there's a pub right next-door. Overall, a very well presented Premier Inn. If staying in the area again I would certainly stay here. A superb example of how a hotel should be!

Brilliant location for visiting Studio tours (which is 20mins down the road in very heavy traffic) Very simple, clean and no fuss. Lovely staff and good quiet pub next door for a carvery.

One of the better Premier Inns I have stayed in. Simple, clean, tidy and the staff were friendly and helpful. You can get evening meals and breakfast from the Toby Carvery next door. But in the hotel you can get a complimentary Costa coffee and a pastry or muffin from the "breakfast station" in the lobby. The hotel is set in pretty surroundings and it only takes a minute or two to walk into the shopping area of the village, or a five minute walk to the picturesque canal.

Very pricey for a basic room not even a biscuit with my coffee in the room. And the receptionist was unhelpful.

Saw it was best reviewed in the area, and it didn't disappoint. Ideal for visiting the Harry Potter Studio Tour.
