I was pretty happy with my stay. Good staff, good sized room, nice bar and restaurant area and I paid a really good price. Only downsize is the place feels a little dated and tired.

Lovely clean room and relatively large. Very helpful staff and very good food in restaurant. Excellent choice and plenty of it, too. Highly recommended stay.

Stayed here overnight with national holidays on stockton town wembley trip. Lovely hotel and friendly staff. Room was nice and comfy, with mini fridge a bonus. Had a nice meal on the evening in restaurant but could have it on room sevice for a small charge. Plenty of choice for breakfast.

As the 3 stars says, 'it was okay'. I wouldn't stay any longer than a night. The rooms were absolutely fine, could not fault the rooms. It was the slowness of the staff and the food is what has put me off returning. Waited 20 minutes at the bar as their was only one guy serving (the bar was packed out) yet the was a younger lady just floating about the floor seemingly doing nothing, I recieved my drink after a further 5 minutes of waiting (after I had placed my drinks order) as they had ran out of glasses for the drinks that was orders — again the young lady still just wandering around aimlessly. The food on the evening was a carvery, which I could of just gone to a Toby carvery restaurant for. Only ate the gammon and roasted potatoes as all the other veg was over cooked. Breakfast on the morning was a bit better but still not the best. Could of been better overall.

Very good reception and receptionists at the top to satisfy you. Flat for supper or we waited an hour to receive our dish! Very good breakfast.

Lovely overnight stay with my granddaughter we enjoyed the pool and breakfast. The eveing meal was a bit overpriced for the quality.

Be careful I meet a friend in the hotel we had a coffee one week later I got a 60pound fine never saw a sign in the car park its a con.

Nice hotel that is convenient for working in Hemel Hempstead. There is a pool, jacuzzi and sauna which are all really nice and a gym. The restaurant is really good and has a good choice of food at reasonable prices.

Excellent hotel. Great location for both Legoland and Harry Potter Studio. Friendly staff, good food and lovely pool.

Nice staffs, good location, rooms are beautiful, but a bit old furnitures and not true continental breakfast. Overall, good value of money.

Good facility but they can do bit more towards hotel maintenance i. E heating wasn’t working even after fixed twice by staff, TV remount had broken back cover…

Has a nice stay here, nothing particularly different as a plus or minus next to other holiday inns… Which is testament to a good company doing things well!

Not so great for me. In my room shower was not working, room became cold and unable to control heater as it was centrally controlled. Also TV channels was limited, if not wrong just around 30 channels.

Comfy beds and good breakfast. Only down side was poor soundproofing in rooms so you can hear everything. Noisy music below till early hours, informed staff who were helpful and friendly and attempted to solve the issue, turned out to be a wedding party. After a day of travelling though it did bother and disturb sleep hence to 2 star deduction.

One of the good ones at the moment. Needs some maintainance in places as it's a little shabby around the edges e. G. Carpet repairs and sticky shower temperature control. The bed was form and comfortable. Room safes still need to be bigger to accommodate modern laptops with 17 inch screens though. I think 15 inch ones would fit. Good was great. Staff pleasant and helpful.

Helpful staff, room good. Breakfast could have been better organised and better selection of cereals should be available.

Nearly bad due to being charged for child's meal. Stayed for two nights to visit parents on their anniversary so took them to hotel for meal. Holiday Inns policy is children eat free with 1 full paying adult. There was three of us paying full price but management did amend bill on checkout and my son loves the swimming pool which was about four doors down.

Nice Hotel, though not of excellent Quality. Comfortable rooms but with some elementary shortage. There is no power outlet near the bedside tables, the bathroom is not that great and there is no minibar. All in all though for one night it's Fine.

Great health centre with a good size pool and well equipped gym. The services are very oriented toward people with a car. If you don't have one, know that there are no hotel transfer services to the train station or the city, though they will happily call taxis. There are buses within walking distance. They also would not know about direct transfers from Hemel-Hempstead to London Heathrow with the National Express buses, so do your research to reach and leave the hotel. Friendly staff, good breakfast, and good food and drinks overall. A little overpriced for the quality of the room, but convenient and clean hotel if visiting the industrial area.

Went here this weekend for the Harry Potter STudios trip with National Holidays. There were 4 of us, the bedroom we were allocated contained a double bed and two sofa beds. My niece persuaded them to give me another room at 75 with a bad bad, a sofa bed was not suitable and they gave me the room next door at no extra charge. This was above and beyond their remit so full marks for the helpful staff. Good plentiful and good. Lovely room en suite. NIce public areas. Well done Holiday Inn.

We had our wedding here. Excellent value and we were looked after very well.

Staff — friendly enough Bar — Expensive as usual Food — only had a snack, loaded chips were warm. Standard rooms — clean enough found one pube resting on toilet. TV big enough, has standard TV channels, movie selection and pornos. Climate control was rubbish, changes itself to the default 18 degrees around 2am so woke up at 3am sweating buckets so didnt get a good nights sleep at all. I would get my money back if I paid for it. They should not value energy bills over customer confort. If they want to save money turn off empty mini bar fridges. Looses 3 stars for this reason. Free tea and coffees in room average. Generally clean throughout. Local shopping centre driveable for cheaper resturants/breakfast.

Holiday Inn host our charity committee meetings. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The room is well equipped and tea and biscuits are provided.

I have been using this hotel for almost 4 years at least twice a Month with my partner my 2 daughters and step son. We are always given a family room which has a double bed and 3 sofa beds for each child. But on this occasion which was on the 25th-27th of August 2017 we was given the wrong room type which was a smaller room with 2 sofa beds for 2 kids and I need to accommodate 3 kids. We spoke to the on duty manager which was a lady by the name off Valeria and we explained the situation as we checked in at 7pm that we was given the wrong room the manger replied that she could cancel my stay and give a full refund she was awfully rude towards my partner and she also told my 13 year old daughter to be quite and she did not help In resolving the situation and making the customer happy my partner explained she wanted to get the kids to bed which includes a 6 year old and the manger did not take that into consideration she was happy to get rid of us at such a late time off the evening. Then we also had the supervisor on the day by the name of Asia who was very very rude and gave poor customer service and her attitude was horrible all she could do was laugh in our faces along with manger instead off helping us and making us happy.

As we had a large family 2 adults & 5 children, they made sure we had a family room & a twin room with adjoining doors so we could all stay together, which put my wife mind at rest. Reception was helpful & all the staff were extremely helpful, polite & made a fuss of the kids. Thank you for your hospitality.

Hotel staff very helpful enjoyed our first night but 2nd night a function took over the restaurant & to much noise. Good lounge bar area with comfortable chairs. Large free car park.

Outdated, too expensive for what's on offer, some staff are rude and ignorant, hair in bathroom floor for £205/night standard room £228 for executive!

Great pace to run a meeting in the lobby. Great internet connectivity which is free. Coffee Tastes good as well as food. Staff are helpful and polite. Keep up the good Team Holiday Inn.

Went for my Parents wedding. The wedding went off okay and the night and food were good; but there were a lot of small problems that added up. The entire cake was cut despite that a tier was meant to be left uncut to freeze. Despite being given A CD and a playlist, the wrong tracks were played during the wedding ceremony and signing. A table collapsed. The buffet was cleared away an hour early. I could go on, but the general atmosphere was one of unproffesionism.

Was here for a training event, ordered 3 coffees only to discover I'd been robbed and my wallet had been emptied! I called CSI and after some investigation they discovered I'd actually been robbed by the hotel itself and paid £3.91 per coffee… It turns out that the coffee beans had been lovingly cultivated and brewed for thousands of years by 43 virgins wearing silk robes and each mug of coffee flown in on its own private jet from Venezuela. Therefore the coffee was actually great value for money! I was going to have lunch there but had ascertained that it cost £54.73 per chip, so therefore went across the road to the peasants Wild Bean Cafe.

Impressed with the hotel. Helpful and friendly staff. Good location, close enough to the motorway for travel options. Our room was fine, but could have been a bit cooler. Even with the air-conditioning set it was still too warm. Overall happy.

Not enough cups and towels for number of guests in rooms, No bible in rooms, rude/unhelpful staff, dinner provided wasn't that great, but at least the beds where comfy and the breakfast was good :) There is also no Internet and limited TV channels so it was a little boring.

Lovely hotel with great facilities. Had a meal and the starter arrived cold, but this was handled well and replacement was boiling hot!

Room in overbooking, no courtesy in communicating it, dirty bathroom and very dusty floor. Complicate procedure to obtain Wi-Fi access. Only option in zone so unfortunately I'll come back.

I often stay at the Holiday Inn Hemel Hempstead. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The rooms are all of a good size with a large television and air conditioning. If you are tall, you may find the shower head to be too low for comfort. The hotel is near to the M1, but not so close as to suffer from traffic noise. One problem is leaving the hotel in rush hour can be awkward as it is on a dual carriageway. It can take 20 minutes to reach the motorway junction, only half a mile away, at 8 a. M. The hotel food is fine, which is good because there are no walkable alternatives.

Location, parking was convenient, décor throughout was beautiful, very pleasant all round. Roomy was clean, tidy and not far away. Lovely bathroom too! Also we got family membership after all for the Spirit spa centre, awerall good.

Nice rooms. Great pool and steam room. Pancake machine at breakfast was brilliant.

Stayed here for 3 nights in October 2014 — I have nothing to complain about, to be honest. The breakfast was good, the bacon was fine. :) i upgraded to an executive room, which was clean and spotless. Becoming a member of the IHG-rewards club gives free Wi-Fi, (which is otherwise ridiculously overpriced — and the only reason for this not being a 5 star review). I can still recommend this. :).

Staff friendly. However yes its ya typical holiday inn but feels a little out dated but good sleep and great position less then 1 mile from the m1 makes it a great place to stay.
