Food not the best and bar staff do not have a clue.

Lovely rooms had everything we needed. Brilliant outside space just out of the patio doors perfect for the kids to run around. Rooms were clean and tidy upon arrival.

The room is very dusty, has cobwebs, the pillows are old and flat… not to mention the prices off the menu for those small portions.

Excellent place to stay food is perfect as well as the staff especially the young lady behind the bar.

We have shot several weddings at this lovely venue. Nice grounds. Staff are lovely. Gazebo in the grounds which is excelnt for couple/family shots. Also good for a cheeky get away night! Highly recommended. Www. Crimsonskyphotography. Co. Uk.

Hotel looks lovely from the outside but once you go into the rooms the are filthy. We went here for our wedding anniversary the first room was disgusting, so requested to be moved to another room which was a lot worse.
If the rooms are like this what will the kitchen be like. So decided to leave!
Contacted the manager on Monday and said he would refund my money a week on and I’m still waiting. This hotel is the biggest joke I’ve ever been too you would be better of staying at travel lodge or premier inn a lot cleaner and staff a lot more helpful. I will be going to trading standards and a small claims court to get my money back. Here are a few pictures of the room we was in, considering we are in a middle of a Pandemic 😷 this was not acceptable. I can accept out dated rooms but not dirty rooms. If you are thinking of upgrading to an executive suite like we did don’t waste your money only difference is a small table and for that you pay £30. Never been so disappointed in a hotel and customer service, I think Raphael needs to pull his socks up and be a manager as the reviews everywhere you look say how dirty it is.

Definitely not a 4 star for, people wanting an over night stay with their furry friends it's ideal. Gave us the wrong room to start. Set menu not very good in the resturant, bar menu is much better. Steak was raw was supposed to be well done! breakfast was excellent. The lady on reception was really helpful as was the young gentleman that was working behind the bar, very professional considering the amount of stress they was under.

Stayed here this week and was thoroughly disappointed with pretty much every aspect of this hotel. Service at dinner was appalling, we had to remind the server numerous times he hadn’t brought our drinks, eventually the food came but still no drinks and after asking again we finally got the drinks. The salad we ordered didn’t arrive until we asked for it again. When it came to the bill, to which we’d bought a package that included dinner, no one seemed to know what they were doing and they tried to charge us in full. After what seemed ages they finally worked out we’d paid for the package. The room was tired and badly in need of updating and just generally maintaining.
All in all the room was a disappointment, the service was atrocious and no one seemed to know what they were doing.
I would never stay here again and would not recommend that anyone should.

We had our wedding here and it was fabulous. The whole run up to the wedding was easy as the staff communicated well and delivered a perfect wedding day for us. The food was divine! Bar staff were brilliant and we think they may remember us for a few years to come.
Ellie was so helpful and always welcoming with a cup of tea.

We have family in Herts and stay here often. Cannot recommend it highly enough, and they are really trying during these awful times.

No hot water for shower first morning had to go to another room to shower. Fire alarm went off at 6:35am. Room was dusty. No real snack menu for lunch. Only scrambled eggs for breakfast for egg choice.

Good place in middle of the green. Clean inside and quiet… large room and the most important for as is pet friendly.

The rooms are spotlessly clean, food is out of this world and the staff well nothing it too much… So pleasent and helpful. Location is idilic would highly recommend to anybody. Many thanks for a lovely stay to all at aubrey park.

We have just spent an amazing weekend here! Given the current situation with Covid we were apprehensive about staying in a hotel and must say that Aubrey Park Hotel and its staff have pulled out all the stops to make it a safe, clean and enjoyable stay! The room was comfortable and clean. Dinner in the restaurant was amazing and breakfast was outstanding! Every member of staff went out of their way, from the lady who checked us in on Friday, to the bar staff and staff serving in the restaurant, everyone were friendly and helpful! Cannot recommend this hotel enough! will definatley be back in the future, thank you for a perfect weekend! Cannot fault anything!

Nice quiet hotel and the staff were great. They did everything possible to accommodate our dog. Had a lovely meal. Room is comfortable and patio doors opening into the grounds are a bonus with the dog.

Enjoyed celebrating a birthday here last night in the new part of the hotel. Looks lovely and fab service all round.

The hotel was adequate and our room was nicely furnished but I did find for the price I paid some areas did lack. Some parts of the hotel including the lift were very outdated and in need of a spruce up and the bathroom was very small, the shower wasn’t deep enough (so water ended up all over the floor) and there was black mould in the lower grouting. If the price wasn’t so steep these things could have been overlooked as the staff were very friendly and helpful, even booking us and chasing up our taxi who was late. Overall it was a nice stay just a bit pricey and they do need to get the decorators in.

Quiet rooms, friendly staff, good food some parts of the hotel is dated and needs a face lift. Some parts are new. It was a bit difficult to locate some of the rooms directions not clear.
Function suite was excellent and good service all through.

Fantastic food. Thoroughly enjoyed pulled pork steam buns and kale slaw. Great staff that are all courteous. Rooms very clean and spacious.

Middle of summer, I have an issue with flies in the bar/ dinning area.

My friend and I have had overnight stay and this is is without doubt the best hotel we've stayed in on our travels to flower shows. The hotel was spotlessly clean, staff happy and efficient, meals hot and to die for. Thank you to all concerned.

Clean, comfortable and very friendly staff. The place is a bit of a maize and rooms are difficult to find. However, the staff are very helpful and friendly which part compensates for that. December food and nice eating area both indoors and out.

Stayed here on a weekend, staff seemed friendly and welcoming. We had dinner here on our first night although it was a bit pricey definitely worth it the food was amazing. Breakfast food was alright there was a good selection of food, in our room there was a fan which we where able to use and it was definitely needed as it was very hot during the night no fault of the hotel. We'd definitely come back.

Classy looking small country-retreat style hotel. Recently attended a corporate event in the venue next door. Facilities are excellent, toilets super-clean and the refreshments were always topped up. The food served was superb, staff extremely courteous and although the dining area was cramped it was still comfortable. From what I saw it looked well worth it's 3 star rating. A good base at the London end of the M1.

Stayed here for two night. When arrived they were having a power cut and could not apologies enough. One member of staff shown me to my room via a torch. Quite funny being escorted to the room via torch. They said that dinner was going to be around an hour later than stated due to the power cut. This turn out to be only 30mins and the amount of food they prepared and the quality too was very good for the pressure they were under. The hotel was clean and the staff could not do enough for you. Overall a very pleasant stay. Would recommend 100%.

Good welcome on arrival. Large car park. Helpful staff. Wonderful hot well cooked breakfast. The only downside for me was the bed was too firm for me. The venue for parties is beautiful and set along side the hotel so no noise if you want a quiet night.

I stayed here the night before my wedding with my bridesmaids and the night of my wedding with my husband. From booking the room to staying on both nights the staff were wonderful and so accommodating for all of our needs. Every request was met immediately and they treated us in such a professional way throughout, we could not fault them. Even though the hotel was busy and there was clearly other weddings going on we were still made to feel a priority. We stayed on the 5th and 6th May 2018.

Great Base location for visiting St Albans and local attractions. Staff helpful and rooms well appointed with mini toiletries. Complimentary water and crisps. We had a ground floor room with patio doors so we were able to sit outside our room. Only downside was the room was too hot so had to keep the fan on would stay here again.

Very classy hotel. Superb room and bathroom. Hot towel rail. However central heating radiator in bedroom was cool, and should have been hot. As cold weather. Lovely outdoor seating area.

A hotel that has a modern feel, comfortable beds and a restaurant that is a cut above many British hotels I have stayed at. Maybe lacking in character, but very clean and with friendly staff. The buffet breakfast was good. The bar was not cosy or inviting enough took tempt us. Overall very good value if you are passing through the area.

What an incredible hotel. The staff were lovely and very welcoming. We had an amazing 3 course dinner. Service was quick and the food tasted incredible. The room was very comfortable. Would highly recommend this hotel.

A wonderful modern and fresh space with attentive staff and excellent cuisine. Rooms here are spacious and well appointed, with great bathrooms. I have attended both conferences and weddings here and find the venue able to cope well with lots of people and still deliver flawless service. The new Oak Suite adds a great versatile space with indoor and outdoor spaces, including the ability to section you off from other guests in the hotel, giving you the feel of a more private space/event. Stacks of car parking both at the front and side of the hotel, still surrounded with trees and gardens. Ow and this hotel even benefits from a helipad! Overall warm and welcoming with a great feel.

The hotel is in a nice location just couple of miles from M1. We went without booking and it was almost full. The rooms are not very big but fine for a overnight stay. Everything was fine. I didn't recognize it is with more than 200 rooms.

Room was comfortable but quite warm (no possibility of changing the temperature). The hotel is quite isolated so it's good if you have a car because there are no leisure facilities on site. They offer a range of massages (not included) but to be able to book it you need to be in one of the special rooms, not the "basic" one. Receptionist was not very friendly or nice but bar staff was absolutely lovely and restaurant staff who served room service was very nice and polite.

Great hotel, Great cleaning staff. The rooms are kept nice and clean and you can expect them to be turned over daily. All the bar staff and cleaning staff are mostly friendly, yet the reception staff seem to struggle with the idea of customer service. The reception staff tend to sit in the back room on their phones waiting for guests and even when they eventually get round to seeing you they don’t have the most pleasant attitude. The food at the hotel was amazing, it was pretty much perfect every night couldn’t knock it one bit! Plenty of parking at the hotel front, back and sides. The bar area is well kept and service is pretty fast… sometimes. All in all would stay here again but not with company as the staff can be pretty judging towards some company staff.

The room was nice, but dinner was a little disappointing. A large party meant that we were sat in a screened off area of the bar, which was quite noisy — busy pub ambience for country hotel fine dining prices. The food itself was well presented but not very filling, so not really as rich as I'd expect for the price and portion size.

A great place for a quiet get away. The leafy surrounding provides an ideal place to nestle from everything else. Staff was helpful and polite. Service was good.

The Forrrester suite was too far from the bar — inconvenient when wanted a drink had to go downstairs and back up. Bar man to take orders would of been helpful. Lovely venue for snall party — small dance area possible. Tables laid out beautifully white linen etc.

The location is easy to get to, the room was clean and tidy and the shower was hot. Internet was fast and the receptionist was friendly. No issues at all and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Hemel Hempstead.

Rooms were of a decent standard, although the layout of the hotel is somewhat confusing. Restaurant and bar was of a good standard. Would recommend.

The staff are polite, helpful and very welcoming. However the walls are paper thin. I could hear a neighbor snooring and could hear either neighbors TV and them turning on or off their lights?

Attended a wedding reception here and stayed over night. The food was pretty good the staff friendly and helpful. Now the rooms are not very big we had a family suite​, which was not big enough to fit a travel cot in, when I informed the staff of this problem they said a family room isn't for 4 people? Not sure how a family room would not be suitable for four people or a travel cot (supplied by the hotel) or why the hotel would give us a room where the travel cot wouldn't fit? (Travel cot had been supplied by the hotel). So our young baby had to sleep in bed with us the staff told us they would do nothing about the cot not fitting in the room. I'd recommend the place for a wedding reception as the staff were good. But id not recommend staying at the hotel if you have a young family, the family room was no bigger then a standard room and you could not open up a travel cot there was no space at all… also the hotel staff were quiet dismissive toward the situation no apologies and no offer to mend the issue.

Really nice hotel, nice setting, although a bit of road noise from the motorway. Rooms were clean and well presented. Service was friendly, and the breakfast in the morning was okay, on par with a wetherspoons breakfast so not exceptional. Overall, okay for a night or two.

Excellent hotel, staff very helpful but not intrusive. We had a dog with us and were charged £20 extra — at first we thought this was a bit much but we had a dog bed supplied to the roo. Before our arrival with a bowl and two snacks for him The staff offered a bowl of water for him as well when we were in the bar area We had to have breakfast in the bar area with him, as dogs aren't allowed near the dining facilities which was fine by us. The rooms are quite small but very well appointed — bathroom was actually a bit difficult to turn round in — may be worth asking beforehand if this going to be an issue Overall enjoyed the stay and would go back again.

I have recently relocated to Hemel Hempstead, due to work commitments, with very little knowledge of the area. I have had to stay at hotels for a period of time and spent my first week in a variety of local hotels trying to find somewhere I felt safe and comfortable. When I found Aubrey Park Hotel Reception Staff were really helpful and friendly and made being away from friends and family a great deal easier. The location of the hotel is ideal as it is only a few minutes dri…ve from Hemel Industrial Estate, Hemel Hempstead Centre, Hemel Old Town and also a short drive from the local towns and villages. The grounds are well kept and there is ample parking to the front and rear of the hotel. The rooms are also spacious with good sized beds and powerful showers. The restaurant and bar team were really helpful and always checked that I was ok and happy with my food and drinks. The breakfast selection is great and the service speedy. I would like to thank the whole team at Aubrey Park Hotel; reception, bar and restaurant for making my first month away from home feel safe and always having friendly faces to greet me. Will continue to visit the bar and restaurant!

This was our second visit to the hotel for a business trip. The hotel itself was lovely and clean with adequate space in the rooms but the service in the restaurant and the food was absolutely appalling. A colleague ordered a pizza which was so tough even a steak knife wouldn't cut through it. At no point did anybody ask how our meal was or offer to replace the somewhat frazzled pizza. At the end of the meal the restaurant manager was apologetic and gave us all a free cocktail which was equally terrible and offered to refund the pizza (which never happened as we were on the dinner, bed and breakfast rate) The waiting staff appeared somewhat "put out" when condiments were requested. Overall a poor experience in the restaurant, one which will ultimately stop us from visiting in future. Such a Shame as the reception staff were lovely and welcoming.

Elegant, clean, cozy.

The hotel appears nice and the reception staff were polite and helpful. However the food was overpriced and terrible. My partners food was nice (he had the burger) however my Thai curry was filled with hairs off the sweetcorn, when I pointed this out they just assured me 'it's not human hair' however hair is hair when it's in your mouth. Completely put me off the dish and was inedible. I complained about the dish (not something that sits comfortably with me) and not so much as a sorry or an offer for another dish off the menu, and it cost £14! The rooms are comfortable, although could do with air con. There was no hot water in the morning, in fact no water at all. All in all the place is no better than an ibis budget, decent for a nights sleep, but don't expect a shower or food worthy of the price they are charging!

Beautiful conference called 'Radiance'. God spoke and His presence was awesome. Many women walked away with clarity and direction for the next phase of their lives x The hotel was beautifully set!

We recently stayed overnight at the Aubrey Park Hotel and were highly disappointed. Firstly we were told at check in that they could not find our reservation (although we booked weeks in advance). We were then told that we were lucky that they still had rooms for us which felt a bit rude considering the issues was caused by their system. (Reception was VERY slow at both check in and check out. ) We were then given the keys to room 129 and upon walking in found two naked people having "intimate relations" on the bed. When we arrived back at reception we were advised that the issue was due to their new "day only" bookings (alarm! ). We were eventually given a new (and naked person free) room which was very basic (it felt like a Premier Inn for double the price). The following morning there was no hot water so we had to have cold showers. The final straw was the breakfast which consisted of burnt hash browns and under cooked bacon. The grounds were lovely but not enough for us to want to stay there again.

Was only here for a meeting but found the place to be welcoming and the staff to be friendly. Hot cross buns and tea/coffee served were good. No cups at the coffee stations was a bit disappointing. Over all good. Do not follow the postcode given on the web as you will be told you have reached your destination as you speed along the Mi! Happened to me the first time!

Saturday night, they have a wedding party in the function room, very loudly music. Complain with the manager, he just tell me it will finish at midnight and he can do nothing before that.

The rooms at the Aubrey Park are always of a good size and well fitted out. The hotel is low rise and sprawling. It can be quite a walk with many changes in level to get to your room.

Visited on business with a couple or colleagues for a night. We dined in the restaurant and the food was very good. The only criticism was the maze of corridors to find our rooms. We were right at the very back of the complex but the room was clean and comfortable.

The hotel is hard to find. Several travel sites offer a package at this hotel which states "transfers to the airport are included in the price, run when needed and take 15 minutes" Transfers are NOT INCLUDED, a one way transfer to the airport is included the return transfer has to be arranged by you by taxi and costs a minimum of £25. Any other hotel at the airport offers a more convenient, cheaper option. This hotel is way too far out to be advertising itself as a Luton Airport Hotel. They are aware of this and thus the transfers are used as a marketing tool and the fact that they only offer a ONE WAY transfer is hidden on purpose. Rate it? I really and honestly dont.

Terrible, damp room, staff unhelpfull bordering on hostile. Receptionist at breakfast could only be likened to a rabid Cybil Fawlty on Crystal meth. Never again, ever.

This hotel is beautiful, very friendly and helpful staff. We got a very warm welcome from Ivan who was at the reception. The bedrooms are very spacious, with comfortable beds and quality products. The breakfast was amazing. I would definitely recommend.

The room was about as basic as you can get for a 3 star hotel. My room was next to a fire door (there were fire doors roughly every 20 feet) every time someone went through it my hotel door would pull and then slam. I was kept very well informed of my neighbors comings and goings as well, he had long late night conversations on the phone that I could hear through the walls as if we were sitting right next to each other. The room was damp and the bed had some sort of connector on it that formed a hard edged peak right in the middle. The last night there I could not get over the feeling that there was something in the bed, I got up, turned on all the lights and pulled the covers back to find a cockroach in the bed. Needless to say I did not go back to sleep, I took a picture and after checking out I asked discretely to speak with a manager. After waiting for 20 minutes and several requests to speak with anyone in charge I was told there was nobody on site. I then showed the picture of the bug to the front desk staff, she seemed upset but also a bit bewildered about what to do. I was told the manager would call me within 24 hours. It is now 2 weeks after my stay with no call so I have absolutely no qualms posting this review.

Was there in1989 was really impressed, great service.
