Excellent service had Indian meal very good value for money and excellent customer service. Would highly recommend a visit here.

The crown at whitchurch has the best Indian restaurant and takeway in Herefordshire called the whitchurch spice tandoori. Amazing food and amazing staff. It is well Worth the visit and drink 's are good value for money.

Popped in on passing, food and service were superb, portion sizes and quality were amazing and all round great value for money. Good quality beers on tap too. Recommended.

Went to book a Christmas party for 30+ people, decided to stay for something to eat before booking, Terrible food, toilets dirty, service was ok, we wont be back.

Excellent Sunday roast. Good quality meat in thick slices, and lots of it. Very good vegetables, and proper gravy. Friendly and efficient service.

Being run by a new team the pub has pleasant surroundings with a small bar area and a larger restaurant. The food was lovely with generous servings. The staff were very pleasant. A good choice of bitter, cider and lagers. The bar area is pet friendly, which we found very welcome.

The place is really nice, good pictures on the walls, nice old style furniture. Food is good and the portions are a good size. The let down sadly is there's no disabled toilet, gents is rubbish and the ladies are great if you can get to it. The staff, they make you feel as though your in the way, and the place was very quiet and everything take ages to get to you. To get our food, which was two jacket potatoes, scampi and a steak, it took 40 minutes and there was one other couple before us. In review its not changed in 12 month, great but slow.

When we visited there was a temporary menu due to the fridge having broken down that day. Despite that the food was decent and reasonably priced. What annoyed me though was when we went to pay the bill being charged London prices for a glass of wine and a pint of local ale.

Very nice, friendly staff. Still a few slight problems with staffing, but I'm fully confident this will be ironed out in the next few weeks. Recommended.

Where do I begin? My daughter and I drove 40 miles with my parents to meet family for a rare day out together which was unfortunately dampened by the 'food' at this establishment and the incompetence of the manageress. The roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings were hard and dry, the ones given to my mother and daughter were quite frankly inedible so we asked for them to be replaced. The replacement food was essentially the same as what we had complained about but slathered in gravy in a vain attempt at concealing their taste. Not one out of the six of us ate more that half of our meals which we felt warranted a discounted final bill. The manageress offered free desserts which we declined on the basis of how bad the mains were and when we asked to be partially reimbursed she became rude and dismissive. This pub is aesthetically pleasing which is a shame because, in my opinion, the hosting skills of the staff and the 'food' are majorly substandard.

Very disappointing roast dinner with hard, dried up roast potatoes and Yorkshire with no stuffing or parsnips and a very rude manager.

The roast dinner at £10.95 is vastly overpriced for what you get. The chicken, pork and beef were all cooked well. However, the roast potatoes and Yorkshire's had been cooked and left standing for a few hours and had gone hard. I did tell the manager and she brought out some more roasties that were as inedible as the first batch! We were offered complimentary deserts to compensate but refused these. The manager was rude and dismissive, stating that she had not had any other complaints and refused to compensate us. We feel that only been able to eat half of your meal only warrants paying half of the bill and would certainly not recommend this as a good place to eat.

New owners- Lovely looking place. Shame the customers were quite so loud and rude. And the completely flat drinks we were served were undrinkable.
