Thought it was closed when I arrived for my stay Big place but quiet especially when you're the only guest Decent room Good breakfast but I will not be returning.

Very good nice meal and nice location.

This is now under new management. It was great before, when Tony was in charge, but the new management are nothing more than money grabbing rip off merchants, especially where weddings are concerned. Avoid at all costs.

Clean, tidy and well cared for. However, a little tired and dated. That might just be me being excessively picky though.

Stayed here for 2nightd. Rooms lovely and clean bed exceptionally comfortable. Bathroom very dated. Avocado suite and mahogany loo seat… needs updating. Staff friendly and helpful… altho young girl behind bar did not know her drunks. But still helpful. Breakfast was adequate but few things forgotten… overall would stay again as value for money and clean.

Just had a lovely meal. Staff and service was 5 ☆ will definitely return.

We booked a room with breakfast on Boxing Day. This was confirmed when we checked in and they told us that breakfast was until 9:30 (later than usual because of the fact it was the festive period I guess). We got down there at 9am and were told the chef had left. The receptionist was super-rude making out that this was a real inconvenience for us and then after some discussion agreed to refund the breakfast price. Upon check-out, she literally changed her mind and said that the rate hadn't included breakfast (in spite of having confirmation the day before as well as when we made the phone booking and our rate being 30 more than another guest who was with us). I asked her to speak to the person from the day before and was dismissed with a 'we'll call you back once we've checked'… which clearly they never bothered to do… I wish I'd not paid in advance! Our friends live in Denshaw and they were fuming and have assured us that they'll be spreading the word! My only advice would be to make sure you don't pay until after your stay! Shame really as the rest of the place was really nice and comfy beds. I don't mind mistakes but just being rude and not bothering to investigate their mistake is basically acting pious while stealing.

Clean venue, nice secluded location. Very nice staff.

Excellent country pub and hotel — friendly staff and great food at both dinner and breakfast.

Wonderful place however attenuation to detail is needed as the windows on the bridle suit was manky.

Amazing nights stay food was fantastic rooms were lovely and staff excellent nothing was too much trouble for them views are a further superb feature… shall be looking into booking our wedding at this venue xx.

Went for a wedding reception great venue and ok prices was waiting a while too be served but as soon as more staff were put on service flowed ok.

We went to a wedding there beautiful location the staff were very helpful and friendly. Just a very nice place to go for a meal.

Didn't stay or eat here but the owner and staff helped me and other cars off the road when snow came in and covered the hills and roads. That let us in their hotel to warm and even made us hot drinks. Fantastic people with big hearts. Thankyou.

The place is situated in a lovely location in the hills which makes it a little disappointing when the function room for Clough Manor is situated in a room with no windows. It also feels as though it could do with a bit of a clean as the carpets are a bit messy. Staff are really friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel with really friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Bathrooms in the rooms could do with a bit of updating, but I'm aware they are a work in progress and are spotlessly clean. I would definitely use the hotel again.

Glad to have stayed here, friendly greeting at the reception and a really nice room. The hotel is set up in the countryside in the hills and has really great scenic views. We had an evening meal and breakfast here both were really nice. Would definitely come back.

Went for father's day lunch. Lovely meal although veg was a bit short. My wife is gluten free and was well looked after!

Been here for special occasions (my nephew's wedding) and for ordinary Sunday lunch. Food is always excellent and service is always brilliant.

Had a great time food and service was excellent.

Arranged meal for 20+ people for special birthday. Staff were amazing, food was excellent and there was even a magician who kept us entertained between courses! Would highly recommend and we will be back soon!

The room was nice but not what I would class as superior more like standard which was diappointing. The lady at reception was also the only waitress meaning when we walked in we had to ring for her to come to reception however she was helpful and friendly. There was only two vegetarian options and anyone who doesn't like blue cheese is left with ravioli overall the food was not nice this was only tea time when breakfast came there was no menu a so called "buffet" that had six yoghurts and three different types of juice with some cereal not what I would think was a buffet we then got asked what we were having for breakfast after not even knowing what they served to then be told we would be having full English again vegitarian was miniscule and the meat version wasn't anything impressive one sausage some bacon a spoon of cold beans one egg and a tomato and a mushroom which looked as if it had been cooked for hours. Wouldn't recommend.

First time visiting the hotel. Was very impressed with the welcome we received. Room was modern and well decorated and the king size bed was very comfy. The hotel was clean and well decorated and all the staff was very friendly and very helpful especially Katie on the front desk who went above and beyond to cater for our food needs. Me and the wife would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to other people. Thank you.

Attended Wedding at Clough Manor 28/08/09, venue good, rooms good, wedding buffet totally disgusting. Barbeque theme with hideous dry burgers (only given 1/2 but that was too much) uncooked wedges and dodgy cheap "kebabs" all for a measly £17 per head. Should have shopped at Iceland.
