Thank you for such a lovely break away for Valentine's! We were so well looked after by the warm, friendly and attentive staff. The room was spotless and really comfortable. The dinner was delicious, gorgeously presented and so plentiful that I was still full at breakfast! ❤️

Staff were so friendly and welcoming — my elderly mum felt very comfortable. The food was delicious and beautifully presented (the fresh, warm scones were definitely worth waiting for) one of the best afternoon teas we've enjoyed. Thank you.

Been to the Grains Bar Hotel quite a few times now. It's run by a young hotelier called Lisa, nothing is ever to much trouble for her guests, food is very good as are all the staff who work there. They are very attentive, thought full and hard working and they work hard to make your visit enjoyable and relaxing so that you make a return visit. Well done everyone at the hotel.

We had our wedding at Grains Bar this weekend. The staff helped to create such a special day and were so accommodating of our guests and their needs. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. They went above and beyond and were so approachable. If you’re looking for an amazing wedding venue, then this is definitely the place. Lisa and Louise are a friendly, generous pair who have ensured that we have had the best start to our married life. Thank you for everything xx.

Visited with family for an evening meal. Never been before but wow what a beautiful hotel so lovely decorated inside, cute little slide and swing set for kids and stunning views if sat outside on a sunny day. The food was delicious proper home cooked and excellent value for money. Staff are super lovely and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Will be returning regular for a meal. 🤩

Absolutely amazing food in amazing surroundings. We have known that it was here for a while as we had breakfast pre-covid which was fab but since the rules have been lifted a little we have tried to stay local. My daughter could run around while we waited and it felt very secure. Food was delicious. We even got to meet some of locals including the peacocks.
would 100% recommend the salt and peper chicken.

Got a takeaway afternoon tea for myself and my fiancé, the staff are friendly as always and the food was fab. Great presentation and tasted delicious.

Your Steak and Ale pie went down a treat today. It was absolutely delicious. It was so cold today, so this was much needed after today’s walk. Perfect winter grub. Even my 6 year old loved it and I haven’t been able to get him to eat much lately! Will definitely be ordering again! ❤️

I had an amazing health take away meal on monday night. It was the garlic chicken. It was absolutely amazing. Everything cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend the food. Fantastic! thank you.

Both times I’ve visited this establishment I had lovely food and nothing’s to much trouble for the staff. Prices from the menu are great too.
The owner Lisa is such a lovely person and was friendly, helpful and was working hard alongside her staff. She keeps a stylish well maintained clean hotel and I would recommend it to all my friends and family. The upstairs function room is also gorgeous for all occasions/ party needs.
Next time you’re looking for somewhere to eat give this place a try you won’t be disappointed. There is also a play area and lovely grounds to sit outside on nice sunny days.

Fantastic venue with an amazing owner and staff.! During lockdown she has been keeping the local area going with the home cooked food ❤️ also had the husbands 40th here and it was the best night.

Great for weddings had our son’s wedding in June 19 great staff & very good food. Lovely comfortable room.

Breakfast with the Grinch and a visit from the big man himself was totally fabulous.

Took the kids for breakfast with the Grinch and a Santa visit. Can honestly say this was an amazing experience for the kids and adults. We laughed from start to finish. Amazing. ☺️

Lots of major plus points and I would recommend this place based on the way we were treated, the food was exceptional if not a lot to eat.

We held our wedding breakfast and evening reception at Grains Bar Hotel in June and the whole day was fantastic from start to finish. The location is amazing, the decor was spot on and just as we had wanted it, and all of the food was delicious (we had welcome canapes followed by a 3 course meal and then bacon/sausage butties in the evening). The roast dinner was honestly the best I've had and the desserts were presented so nicely. We would highly recommend this place to any newly engaged couples, there really isn't any better venue in the area. A large number of our guests also stayed over night at the hotel and the breakfast the next morning was great. Massive thank you to Lisa, Louise and all of the other staff, especially the chef xxx.

Had a great time at a wedding last night. This venue is amazing. Loved the marquee set up. The staff are so friendly and really go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect.

Fantastic location, food and team. We always feel so welcome! Looking forward to summers in the beautiful garden, the kids love bringing the football and playing on the park. Plus the friendly neighbourhood peacock keeps us entertained.

Living locally it’s so lovely to have a scenic, friendly venue to stop and have a drink x Check out the views from the gardens they are beautiful and there’s a safe and fun area for the kids to enjoy! Beautiful spot.

We love it here, always call in after a walk or on a friday after work or on a sunny day to admore the views. All the staff are always welcoming and drinks are reasonable abd food is excellent! We have stayed here on our wedding night and rooms are lovely. The wedding ceremony room is the prettiest room you can find locally and is like a castle. I recommend you all just call in to experience such good hospitality.

Staff wonderful, they tried to be helpful as much as possible. Didn't try breakfast, although a relative said it was good. Rooms very clean. Towels white & plush. No shampoo but did have shower gel available. Beds & bedding very comfortable & clean. The sofa bed in the family room was rather uncomfortable & hard but looked brand new.

Staff very welcoming. All staff helpful if I needed anything or needed to ask they would do their very best to help. All very friendly. Very child friendly. Me being a smoker though it was a good idea how they had the smoking area. Very nice neat clean and tidy beds. All you need for a break. Will definitely return. Viv Porsche and dj Warren. Xx.

Stayed here while attending a wedding near by, such a lovely hotel, lovely staff, lovely rooms; would definitely recommend this place.

Really lovely picturesque place. Clean rooms and lovely staff. Great outdoor space and a little farm and park for the kids. Only complaint I would have is the organisation of breakfast. The food really is lovely when it finally arrives but the milk and kettle water and bread etc runs out fast when it's busy and you can be waiting a while for a replenishment as there was literally 1 staff member doing it all including taking orders and serving food.

Perfect place for a relaxing drink in the sunshine. Gorgeous surroundings and a choice of outdoor seating and the staff couldn’t do enough for us!

Have stayed a few times over the last year, rooms are clean and the staff are helpful. It is a bit of a maze though and people who have problems with stairs (there are a lot) would need to book a ground floor room. Last visit breakfast was good but came with a long wait.

Lovely clean hotel, staff was 10/10 for polite and welcoming its nice to see staff that are nice and friendly deffo stay here again :)

Amazing place feeding all sorts of animals we really enjoyed it. Very friendly staff and you can buy fresh eggs duck and chicken.

Held my daughters 21st party on 24th March 2018.
This included all the rooms to accommodate all the students travelling to the venue.
The only word to say about the hotel is fabulous!
From initially booking they have been more than helpful, and kept in touch regularly. Louise and the staff were beyond professional and ensured that a brilliant night was had by all.
Great prices, beautiful rooms and an atmosphere that kept the party going.
If you are after a venue for a special occasion be it small or large look no further than this hotel.
My undying thanks to all that made this a night to remember.

What an amazing venue
Attending the wine tasting event last night.
It was really well organised, a little snack provided afterwards (yes we should have eaten first) as the wine was very strong! But honestly it was perfect. Really nice atmosphere in the bar afterwards and we just can’t wait to get married there in 6 months time.

Only stayed one night here but it was a lovely place. The room was clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly. Would stay there again.

What a gem of a place. Called in for breakfast which was lovely. As you walk through the door you get that Welcoming homely feeling. A lot of effort has been put in to make you comfortable. The staff & owners are very friendly and pleasant. Will be recommending this place to all.

I am very disappointed in the response I got from this hotel. I emailed and rang asking to cancel booking I had made because my mother had been in intensive care and upon release needed 24 hour care. Booking. Com were very understanding and said they were happy to waive any costs, but hotel refused and said full payment was required.

Brilliant place in a friendly environment. The staff are so accommodating, rooms are clean and tidy. Will be really great in summer.

Lovely quaint hotel in the heart of Saddleworth, perfect place for weddings it has a beautiful Marquee once decorated with your wedding theme its magical.

A lovely quaint little hotel, the inside is like a little maze that you just want to explore. The two lounge areas seem really nice and homely like a cottage. We only stayed for one night to catch a flight in Manchester but would definitely go back for a get-away. Only thing I took issue with was that there is a shared toilet and shower arrangement. Not sure if they rooms with ensuite bathrooms but that would be preferable.

Extremely reasonable price for accommodation on New Years Eve. En-suite bathroom larger than I expected and a excellent location if you have your own transport. Would certainly consider stopping at this location again as prices are very reasonable all year round it seems and do not increase over weekends.
