After reading other reviews I was a bit worried I had made a big mistake! However I was wrong, we arrived at 7am after a 10 hour coach journey to be greeted by a very pleasant older gentleman. He very kindly managed to check us in super early at 9.30am. We were allocated room 12 on the ground floor and couldn’t have been happier with the room. It looked like it had been redecorated not long ago. The decor was lovely, beds were comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. We stayed for 3 nights and had breakfast each morning, there was a choice of cereal, toast, croissants, fruit juice, tea and coffee which was lovely to start the day. The location of this hotel is second to none, literally a 5 minute walk from Victoria and one stop from Oxford Circus. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely return to the Bakers Hotel again. Thanks for making our stay such a pleasant one :)

Hotel location is fine but everything very small outdated breakfast room creepy barely space as paid in a straitjacket you. I wouldn't stay here anymore … for people with very little entitlement.

Same like a construction site! From early morning to late afternoon…

Very bad experience. We arrived the first day and in the administration there was no one, we were waiting on the sidewalk of the hotel about 40 minutes to get someone (3 °c). Followed by that, in booking, the means by which we made the reservation, said that the hotel accepted cards, and even left the data as a guarantee. They did not work the postnet supposedly, so we had to pay with the little cash we had (which we harm because we charged commissions and also the plus for the change of currency), and also because we had to go to change again. Once in the room, it could be said that the dimensions were "acceptable", but from the 6 days we were just spent to clean a single day (to get an idea of the hygiene of the place). The little time we were there was too much noise, the employees went through the halls making a lot of noise, listened to the steps and slamming continually. They were renovating a sector, and the entrance was full of things all the time, they were not taken or the hassle of moving them to another place less compromising. The breakfast was two toast with butter and/or jam, a juice and a coffee (with little taste, but enough), although the indu that served you, it was angry.

Slightly dirty everything, they were of works and renovations in most of the rooms. The Hindu who ran the site to us to breakfast, which on the other hand was not fantastic but at least it was. The relatively clean bathrooms.

Its very cheap, and very good location. Bed was clean. Also breakfast was OK. But Its good place only for 1-2 days. Flaws: rooms are a little bit to small, no wardobe for clothes, also noticeable mold on roof in bathroom.

Especially in the renovation, therefore a bit chaotic and dingy, because old furniture rumstanden everywhere. But basically for the price OK. Room is a bit noisy but it has a real small bathroom and not just a wet.

ATTENTION flights in the rooms I just spent three nights in this hotel. Lowercase rooms, breakfast-toasted sandwiches. The worst thing is that the staff at this hotel steals money from the rooms.
The first day I miss 40euros in my wallet. I thought I'd lost them. On the 2nd day I did not pay attention if I lack the money, but on the third day I have the certainty that we fly in the rooms. At the wake my daughter check the pounds that left her to buy souvenirs before she left-she has 40 pounds. We go downstairs to have breakfast by closing the door and after we left the hotel with our suitcases. When I arrived in the first shop, my daughter Appercoit that she misses 20 pounds on 40. Unfortunately we no longer had time to go to the police but his money disappeared during breakfast. The time that one you toast your sandwiches The second makes the rooms.

We didn't had hot water in our room and there where some broken things inside the room as well.

The location is good. Most of the room don't have a bathroom. We had to wait for 2 hours to do the check in but it is cheap.

The only advantage is the location! Room and bathroom very dirty and unkempt. The young man who made the breakfast was very anxious. Breakfast was very poor breakfast room in the basement where it was very cold!

I would never stay in such a place… the only good thing about this hotel is the location… close to Victoria Station.
As for the structure is very inadvisable as dirty… with this kind of dirty carpet you hear a lot of dust at the entrance… During our stay our room was not cleaned even were pulled the beds as we had left The morning found in the evening with lots of cups still found dirty… instead on the stairs were placed cardboard boxes full of cards that obstructed the passage and became a risk to the safety of customers… The lock of one of the bathrooms was defective and So the subscript was stuck twice closed inside the bathroom and I felt attacked by one of these guys because I knocked… lagher just… from the staff not even a acceno of a smile of cordiality and welcome.

Very nice staff. Really good location. Westminster Abbey is about a 30-minute walk away. The rooms could be neater and cleaner. The beds could definitely be renewed.

Perfect location, comfortable beds. You get what you pay for. No complaints.

Little given in terms of receipts, tried to ask us for more money when we already paid.

Broken tv, no ironing board, lack of reception staff.

Not comfortable, very bad staff, no elevator, noisy, old, etc. Near by Victoria station, that's the only perk.

Friendly staff, neat little place. Breakfast is basic cereal or toast. Room was fine, bed a bit small for two.

Good rooms, good location, very acomadating hosts. Breakfast is a little overstatement but it's still alright.

We are at the moment for three nights. Room was not vacuumed. Bed very soft when one turns the other is awake. Tiny. Bathroom clean single point positive.

Nice rooms and very nice, recently renovated bathrooms. Good location and price.

Perfect location for those leaving from Gatwick, buses arrive just at Victoria who is there next. The metro is at the Victoria, and the buses run on time for the Center. If you don't want to walk in forty minutes you're in Piccadilly.
Other than that, the bed and breakfast is not a big deal, I'm not British, so managers have a pronunciation very bad and do not understand anything when they speak. The rooms are tiny and the bathroom is shared with the other rooms, the sink in our room was clogged. Breakfast really poor, I was expecting a classic breakfast instead there is no big deal. Anyway I recommend it for anyone who doesn't have many needs, for children and young people in General, for families not.

Room # 2 in the basement was once floaded and still has the smell of a wet basement.

There are American jail cells w more space than we had. Stayed in room 11. Could not spit tooth paste in the sink w/out hitting head on the shelf above it. Sink was so small you could not wash out anything in it. Curtains were falling off the rods and held closed w a bobby pin. Metal folding chair was the only seat in the room. TV hung so high on the wall we got neck cramps trying to watch it. Not a single shelf or closet in the room. Nowhere to put your luggage except right in front of the door. Not even a towel bar in the bathroom. Found two pennies on the floor, indicating the floor had not been vacuumed w much care. And we couldn't check out early because the Pope was in town and every room in London was booked. Four days and nights in a personal hell. Those who claim this hotel is well maintained should check out the paint job in rm 11. Amenities? There were none. In fact, even though they knew there were two people checking in, we received only one towel. Actually it was more like a piece of white astro turf. Anything positive? Yes. The young gentleman at the desk falls all over himself to give what service he can. He got us another towel immediately and fixed the burned out lightbulb in the bathroom the minute we called him about it. Another plus, it's a quiet neighborhood, lovely, close to Victorian Station.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. The room was filthy, no soap, no towels and 1/2 roll of toilet paper. We dont look for luxury, but for £200.00 per night, it would be nice to get a clean room and efficient staff. The sink in the bathroom was not draining and it was never fixed during our stay. Do yourself a favor and find another place.
