I actually want to award ZERO STARS but it won't let me post this without selecting an amount of stars. So I've given it 1 but I don't mean it! This was a dire place to stay! Stayed 1 night 16th August (thank god it was only 1 night! ) I know that it said budget hotel but you'd have to pay me to stay there again! The bedroom was essentially a pokey cupboard adjacent to the breakfast room — which incidentally they were preparing in the early hours of the morning AS LOUDLY as they possibly could! By the way don't bother with the breakfast — cheapo cereals, curdled yoghurt with tinned fruit and dry bread. It was awful. I don't really know what they were preparing for! There was a sink in the room but it was so grubby! The floor and skirting boards were dirty. The bed was shoved up against a wall and the sheets smelled greasy! The bedroom did have a window which wouldn't shut properly but which looked out onto a wall and the window into the next bedroom along. The 'shared bathroom' was on the complete opposite side of the hotel — a real problem when you have a little one who needs the loo in the night. The 'bathroom' was actually just a cupboard with only enough room for a toilet and a shower tray! The small area of floor that there was was flooded with water. The soap dispenser was broken and soap spilled on the floor (a safety hazard) I reported this to the reception on the evening of our arrival but nothing was done about it by the morning! Maybe because the staff don't seem to understand a word you say! The receptionist told me that the 'shared bathroom' was only shared between two rooms yet there were rooms 10-18 at least on that floor. Oh and it says that the rooms are keycard operating but ours was just a bog standard key. Not that this bothers me but it did make me wonder if they don't let that room out usually? Also because room 10 (our room) wasn't even signposted. It was 11-14 one way and 15-18 (or something) the other way. No number 10 listed maybe because it's such a crappy room they won't advertise that they have it! In short don't bother wasting your money, the Leisure Inn is an awful place to stay.
