Very nice hotel but some improvement could be required, coffee facilities with a simple kettle e no teaspoon to stir a coffee, with the rate you pay for one night in a superior room I was expecting something more like a coffee pod machine, plus the bath towel had a big hole and the patio could be a bit more welcoming.

Great food, a movie theater, at least two great bars. 3?, great view over the Thames. Nice restaurants up and down the Thames Path. If they only had a Peloton in the gym it'd be perfect.

My experience at the hotel in general was ok. The only mishap that happened was that whilst getting ready to go to my lunch event, there was a knock on the door and before I could answer a member of staff opened the door. He asked if he could check the mini bar which I said no to as I was in a hurry. I told him to come back and closed the door. He then knocked again and asked if he could come in as he thought the room would be empty. I told him it wasn’t possible. I reported the incident to reception and there response was that he most probably didn’t know the room was occupied. Which is fine but the fact is I could have been naked when he opened the door, which is not ok. He should have at least knocked a couple of times just to make sure.

Fab location with great views of the city. We were able to check in super early which was so helpful. The rooftop bar is a great place to start your evening. Everyone was very courteous and polite and helpful.

I'm literally staying here right now, second night. Don't stay here if you like eating food. Esp if you want anything after 950 on a Friday night. Concierge was fantastic though

Never fails to delight — first trip back in 18 months and it felt great! Received a fantastic room upgrade and glass of bubbly on arrival to celebrate my birthday which was a lovely touch. All staff were so friendly and looked happy to be there! Room was spotless and breakfast is always good quality and delicious x can’t wait to return x.

Great family stay at Sea Containers. We had a lovely welcome from Jo, who was great with the kids while we waited to check in and check out. The rooms were really clean and stylish, and very quiet too. Excellent location for exploring London.

Only good if you don’t want access to the bar on the 12th. They sell the hotel on the bar, when you are allowed in it. Shocking customer service.

Great Concierge team with Chiara & Emilio. They made us enjoy London more. They are always very helpful. We’ve made reservations and changed them too, but they are always willing to assist in every possible way. Excellent experience for us!

Fabulous taster meal and cocktail through Time Out, our waitress Noes was extremely attentive and friendly, every single dish was exquisite, highly recommended.

Young staff were wonderful, £8 for 2 small lukewarm coffees! And then charge £1 extra for serving them is just wrong. Also price charged for room should have provided dressing gowns like every hotel we’ve stayed in — shame.

Love this hotel! The decor is modern and luxurious design. The location is perfect for exploring South Bank and it’s fabulous sights — Tate modern, South Bank centre, borough market, tower bridge etc. Staff are super helpful and friendly. We arrived at 8am, check in is usually at 2pm but and they were able to give us a room straight away. Room was a good size, really comfy bed, great shower and lovely smelling toiletries. Over the weekend they charge £20 for buffet breakfast which is perfectly reasonable considering the quality of the food. The gym has all the modern equipment and weights you need. Didn’t try the spa but the cinema is awesome. Very intimate and comfy. Would definitely choose this hotel again!

One of my favourite hotels in London. Lots of versatile communal spaces, from the cocktail bars to lounge area (ideal for business meetings over a coffee). Rumpus Rooms has a great terrace, although gets very crowded during peak times. Dandelion Bar has a wonderful selection of unique cocktails slightly at the pricey end but well mixed. Love the NY regency interior design throughout.

Booked rooms for myself and a group of friends to stay and celebrate my 50th Birthday. I was told that my room had been upgraded and while I did shower, it wasn't until day 2 that I sat in the most uncomfortable bath I've ever bathed in. It was a wheelchair accessible bath and as well as being very shallow, reclining in any comfort is impossible. If you are in a chair and have any paralysis anywhere down your spine, be aware that the top lip of stone causes a single, painful pressure point that's potentially dangerous and now been pointed out to the management. It was also on day two that I opened my curtains and saw that the river view room I'd booked had transformed into a shadowy view of a dingy service road. The actual night of my celebration was spent next door in The Oxo, for a meal that was spot on… Thereafter we returned to The Rumpus room where I'd come in advance of my party to order drinks. 45 minutes later and we were brought warm champagne and warm white wine. The G&T's were passable. We ordered more drinks immediately, which took another 45 minutes to arrive. At the end of the night, to use up my minimum spend I had to order three magnums of warm champagne… These are all first world problems and at the same time, if you're considering spending thousands of pounds on celebrating an event, I'd think twice before booking The Mondrian. The exceptionally underwhelming ordeal cost me $15, 000 which I wish I'd spent elsewhere.

We had dinner at Sea Container, the main restaurant of the hotel. The venue itself is great and the view really enjoyable. However, I found the service quality was really poor, we had to wait a long time before the order was taken and some things we ordered never came. The waitress was in a constant hurry and clearly showed it to the customers. I think the venue is understaffed and probably untrained which is quite annoying and surprising for a world renowned brand such as the Mondrian. The food was good and well presented.

We celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary there. We ate at the Sea Container restaurant and stayed in one of the rooms with a balcony. Everything was perfect from the check in experience, the dining experience, Gabby always had a lovely smile on her face and was very helpful, Ruben at Rumpus room was very helpful too, professional and accommodating towards our group. Our room was divine — beautiful and very comfortable. Thank you also to guest relations who left a kind note a…nd a nice bottle of champagne for us to enjoy — how thoughtful. We have stayed at various 4 and 5 stars hotels around the world and this in our opinion, was one of the best experiences. Thank you very much for making us feel so welcome. The food is good but I don't think it justifies such high prices. Don't go there hungry as you'll starve. Service could be improved — particularly the chefs tend to change often which impacts consistency. All waiters are lovely but the kitchen staff could be a bit more careful. There have always been mistakes the times I've been there. Great wine and cocktails.

Slick, modern luxury hotel with stylish rooms overlooking the Thames. Service on check-in was friendly and efficient, and our room was extremely comfortable. The view over the Thames is impressive, especially at night. The venue also has a restaurant and a small cinema.

Beautiful and welcoming hotel near the London Eye ferris wheel, the Thames River cruises, and the Tate Modern Museum of Art. 6 blocks walk to the Southwark Metro stop and Victoria Bus Station made it easy to plan day trips to surrounding towns such as Stonehenge and Bath and to great plays/musicals at the Victoria Theatre. The Jack the Ripper Tour with authentic Fish and Chips was an easy taxi ride away, and it was really fun and informative. The Mondrian London staff is super nice. They offer great room service, same-day laundry/dry cleaning service, and luggage storage service. Several staff members speak multiple languages and can recommend activities worth doing in other countries, too. The hotel offers taxi service right out front, and there is a good pharmacy across the street. This is my favorite hotel in London, and I return as often as I can. 5 stars.

Visited the downstairs bar this Saturday evening with my friend for a drink, and it was the worst experience ever. We've been told that the place is fully booked and we will be seated as soon as any table becomes available. We ordered drinks and it did not seem that this will happen any time soon. Just in front of us there was a couple sitting at the table with 4 chairs and two were available, so we decided to ask them if they don't mind us joining them, they said — absolutely, feel free. So we did. After 2 minutes one of the staff members approached us and said that we cannot join a reserved table even if there's free space. We explained that we're here just for a drink and the people don't mind, as we asked them. The lady said fine and went to get her manager. So a second person from the staff came over and asked us to stand up as it's their 'policy'. We said the same thing, that we asked and they don't mind. In another two minutes a security guy came and said that if we don't stand up, we need to leave. This was just unbelievable. What if we are friends of those people, can we not join the table? OR if we meet at the bar the same night, should we still stand whilst they are sitting? Couldn't recommend this place less. Beautiful location with the worst customer service.

I arrived at this hotel which is supposed to be 5 star at 4pm in the afternoon. I checked in and the whole process was pleasant although they had no idea I had already paid for my room. I then went to the restaurant and asked for a menu and I was told the kitchen was closed so, and this flabbergasted me, I had to make do with chips and microwave bacon. I then went out for the evening to meet friends and returned thinking I'll go to the bar and have a nightcap. I was told by the server that I was seated on a sofa on my own and they don't normally allow that because it's so popular (it isn't, there was plenty of space as is evidenced by my finding a free sofa). I said I'm staying here, her response was "Well I'll overlook it this time". I mean… Wut? To quote the vernacular. I paid close to $500 for one night with microwave bacon, fries and rudeness. Never again.

Amazing hotel with possibly one of the best roof top bars I have ever seen in my life. Amazing breakfast options also. Their is even a cinema based within the hotel. Would have expected a pool for the price.

A funky hotel in a great position on the Thames south bank. Unusual nautical themed decor. Friendly and very attentive staff resulting in great service. Rooms have everything you would expect at this price level, some rooms with great views over the river. Good location to explore south bank attractions like the Tate Modern or Shakespeares Globe Theatre. A short walk across nearby Millennium Bridge into area around St Pauls.

Super Father the hotel, the rooms very nice, clean and with incredible views to the river, the deluxe suite is recommended for its balcony overlooking the riverside and the city, excellent location super close to the important points of London, the quality is very high and the price is very accessible.

An edgy hotel well situated for London visitors. Reasonably sized rooms well maintained and serviced. Not quite 5 star compared to other London notables but would rate it a very good 4.5. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Lovely! Great rooms with a great view — make sure you ask for a room with a river view. Best cocktail bar in the world (2017) and can confirm it. Breakfast and afternoon tea both very good too. Highly recommended.

Magnificent hotel located on the banks of Tamesis 5 minutes from the Tate Gallery or the Globe. Half an hour from the London Eye, 35 minutes from the Big Ben and about 40 minutes from the London Tower and Bridge, as well as the Borough market.
Rear entrance with taxi-stop and front with river view.
Design and functionality. Appropriate price considering the rates of accommodation of the City in District 1.
Cafes and restaurants in the vicinity. About 15-17 pounds by taxi from any landmark in London.

Lovely hotel. Fantastic staff, cannot do enough for you without being over bearing. Breakfast well worth the money everything from cereal to smoked salmon. Spotlessly clean throughout. Would recommend this place to anyone. Can't wait for the chance to stay again.

We loved it! We asked for a superior room and we had one with a wonderful view, all impeccable, very friendly staff especially Jesus who attended us at reception, very friendly and willing to help!
At night we went to the bar which is on the terrace on a top floor, the host TB catered excellently! A view of the river beautiful and the atmosphere great!.
I recommend it, the location is unbeatable!

We stayed on the Mondrian for one night and had such a wonderful stay! The room boasted a beautiful view over the Thames and our bed was so ridiculously comfortable that it was hard to drag ourselves out of it to make the check out time! Whilst we were there we also ate dinner at the Sea Containers restaurant within the hotel. I cannot even begin to offer my appreciation for the staff at Sea Containers because as a vegan, there's not much choice on the menu, however, the staff there made every effort to adapt each dish to suit my dietary requirements, which was lovely! If you're looking to treat yourself or a loved one to a night away in the city, then I thoroughly recommend booking a stay here.

Avoid unless you enjoy being defrauded Went for super expensive lunch, having handed over my car to the valet for parking; have done so many occasions before, never paid for parking before, and always handed the valet a generous tip upon return of my car. On this occasion, upon return from lunch (£150 for 3 people! ), I was asked to pay £45 for 75 minutes worth of parking. I had not been informed of the fact that a charge would be levied, with the valet claiming that he had told me (this is part of the scam, he hadn't). Queried this with a whole raft of people at the hotel of ascending seniority, only to be told that the valet department had nothing to do with them (? ) and that they would refuse to return the keys to my expensive car if I refused to pay up. Had my wife and son with me and therefore decided to settle; had I been on my own, I would have asked them to call the Police. Paid the bizarre sum of £25.90 and left, to never give these thieves any business again. The irony is that this review alone will cost them thousands of pounds in lost revenue with those readers who decide to give the hotel a miss based on what I wrote. The thing to do of course, as any manager of a 5 star hotel would know (but not "Inga" apparently) was to let me go on my way with their compliments.

We had a beautiful stay at the Mondrian, sadly for only one night. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Cabs line up outside the hotel for easy access, which is great when you want to get somewhere, as I don't think there were tube stations nearby. The breakfast is not included but it was an excellent buffet of the typical English breakfast. We tried both of the bars in the hotel. The Rumpus Room on the twelfth floor was lovely, had a wonderful view over the river, the most notable sights being St James and the London Bridge (I think). However, the live DJ music was quite loud, so we preferred the ground floor Dandelyan bar. This was also a great bar. We had some very good cocktails and enjoyed the live DJ there as well. There are still riverside views, but not as large and unfiltered, of course.

Great hotel with a convenient location. Stylish, modern in the style of the ship. The hotel is only a few years old. On the 12th floor there is a great lounge with a panoramic view of the Themzu.

This review is solely for the restaurant. I've eaten here a few times now & never been disappointed. The menu changes seasonally & there are dishes to cater to most dietary requirements. The food is always fresh & delicious, modern without being too "fussy". The staff are polite, knowledgeable & professional. The restaurant is also located right on the river so there are beautiful views, if you are sitting on the other side of the dining area then you can see into the open plan kitchen area. The food is a little on the pricey side but worth it & the drinks are quite expensive. I recommend this restaurant but maybe it should be for special occasions for some people.

Great location for the South Bank and National Theatre. Large modern hotel with immaculate rooms and fantastic staff. The hotel restaurant and bar are also both worth a visit even if you're not a guest.

Hotel in fantastic location, along the River Thames a 10-minute walk from Tower Bridge, metro station at 150 meters. The Rumpus Bar on the 12th floor has great views, rooms with beautiful views and really nice boutique hotels.
I would gladly return.

Stunning hotel with designs by Philippe Starck. Lovely bath products and amenities. I got a room with a little patio which was lovely. Location is close to the Tate Modern however not too accessible to the tube. The value is very good though and overall highly recommended.

Very nice hotel with good quality food in it's restaurants. Everyone was great and no problems with service. Had room with a view of the river which was great! Very easy to get to the Underground and easy access to waking areas. While I was there the showers were extremely loud. That's the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. Would stay there again.

Great hotel located in the South bank/ SOHO neighborhoods. It sports a small but well furnished gym, a sauna a rooftop lounge a lobby area bar and restaurant. It's also located close to several metro stops. Overall a pleasant stay and easy to get around London.

Bit of an odd one. Great location, very helpful and friendly staff, a decent breakfast and a nice room too. The rooftop bar is good, but it's too loud for a quiet drink and a chat. Also, on several occasions the pipes made an unbearably loud sound that came from the corridor outside my room, and lasted between 1and 10 minutes each. This was all between 7 and 8am. Considering the price I was disappointed.

The most relaxed high end hotel you’ll ever walk into. The decor is so fun, inspired by a nautical vibe combined with old movie art. If you can’t afford to spend the night in this hotel then at least treat yourself to a drink (or two! ) at one of their bars. Dandelyan (downstairs) has award winning drinks and rumpus (upstairs) has amazing panoramic views. So you’re in for a treat at either!

Great hotel, neat, tidy and well appointed. The staff are friendly and helpful, I would stay here again without a moments thought. The room was super comfy, we had the best nights sleep because the room was so quiet. Having the river view is worth it in my opinion, waking up to a view of St Paul’s is something special and it’s nice to see the river working away…

We booked into the Seacontainers restaurant for a Thanksgiving meal (they had put on a special menu). With the Rumpus Fooms closed for a private event we were offered a space in the ‘Den’ area for drinks beforehand but the drinks service was so poor that after 35 minutes I had to ask for a waiter to come to us (it was table service only — if there had been a bar of course I would have ordered for myself no problem), and then I had to enquire about our drinks after another 15 mins or so!
The service at the table didn’t get any better — it was so poor that we asked for the service charge to be removed from the bill. Quite simply the poorest dining experience I’ve had in as long as I can remember, let alone at a top hotel. The food was ok but the portions were so parsimonious as to be laughably mean. Most definitely NOT recommended.

Lovely cocktail bar. Really enjoyed the visit. Fantastic place to sit by the river Thames and enjoy the night view and boats passing. Bar staff are ever so helpful and friendly. They explain all the drinks to you if you ask. They ask what you like/don't like and then suggest drinks based on this.

Nice, luxurious hotel in an excellent location of walking distance to Westminster from one side and London and Tower bridges from the other side. Room facilities are great and view is beautiful. Staff are super friendly and Hadassa at the reception is the best. She was of great help and made us feel comfortable dealing with her given we arrived very late at night. Definitely she is the best.

Best Hotel in London! My wife and I stayed for our anniversary and the staff acknowledged this by providing us with various little treats. The staff are so welcoming and treat you like an old friend rather than a business associate which is so nice. Great location with fantastic views of London skyline. Loved it's modern funky vibe. Signature smell when you walk into the foyer is gorgeous. The rooms are of a good size for London city with beds so comfy it's difficult to get up and out. The in room cocktail kits and designer toiletries are a really nice touch. Gym facilities are good enough and the roof top bar is a must go too whether you are staying here or not! Will definitely stay here again!

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. It's shape looking, clean, unique, stylish and very plush. When you first walk in the door it has its own lovely smell that hits you and the decor is very nice. Have stayed maybe three or four times and always want to go Back again. The breakfasts are really special even down to the detail of there butter which is clearly organic. I just love everything about this hotel. Makes me feel super special when I stay hear. Would recommend time and time again.

Second time we have stayed at the Mondrian over the Bank Holiday, love it's riverside location within walking distance of theatre land. Superior room was very good though no bathrobes which is a disappointment at that price point. Food is excellent, as is the service.

This hotel is stylishly decorated and once I had worked out that the TV could be swivelled out I was very comfortable on the mountain of pillows watching a film in the soft bed. The climate was easy to control and not too noisy and there was plenty of lighting options to choose from. Unfortunately the light behind the large mirror was not working as I would have liked to see how it looked. This is also the first hotel I have stayed in in which I could buy a vibrator from the minibar! Great location for our visit to the Tower of London with lovely riverside seats to enjoy some pre dinner drinks. We even got to see someone trying to walk through the window in his haste to get to the terrace!

We visited for the Wyld Afternoon tea and can honestly say it's the best afternoon tea I've had. You get 4 cocktails included and all are selected to complement the stage of the experience. Don't expect this to include scones as it doesn't but this means there is more room for drink and you don't leave feeling stuffed, just satisfied. Lastly the service was impeccable. Couldn't fault it.

I've stayed here for more than a month and found my stay really pleasant! Definitely recommend this hotel! Great and reliable service (room service, restaurant and reception). Every staff is friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff are nice too!

Terrible, bought a superior room, Thames view, ended up with a disabled room looking over a building site! After the stay we called up to ask when they were releasing the £100 deposit for the mini bar after being told it would take 2-3 days by someone on the front desk before we checked-out, on the first call we were told it would be 3-5 days and the second call (today) up to 14 days! Joke, don't know what they are doing/saying, will never stay here again and certainly wont recommend to anyone, I wouldn't want to disappoint them. We were also informed today that we should have been told what room we were going in when we checked-in, I assure you this was not the case, so was it bad service? Apparently so… Also the restaurant is bang average, go OXO Tower or a Gauchos.

I visited the Mondrian hotel for an event. From the outside the Mondrian looks like any other hotel but don't let that fool you. The interior is a breathtaking mix of contemporary designs with sweeping Cooper lined walkways to the restaurant. It has excellent views of the River Thames and offers comfortable seating to enjoy the view. The Mondrian even has a Curzon Cinema, which is a unique offering in my book! A very pleasant and refreshing experience.

Fantastic hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Brunch was lovely especially the bottomless Bloody Mary and Bellini options! The room we stayed in was very stylish with a great view overlooking the Thames. Highly recommended.

Stayed in the hotel many times. each time my stay improves; the staff are friendly but not overly the rooms are well maintained and designed, the river location has interesting shops and restaurants nearby. Will defiantly stay there again.

This hotel opened October 1st 2014 so obviously has that fresh new feeling to everything. Everything from the furnishings to the building look newly unwrapped. The staff all wear big smiles and are very friendly and helpful. The grand entrance lobby is actually at the back (on the side away from the Thames). The river facing entrance is just a door and you would think that it's not a hotel/bar/restaurant at all as it's one-way mirrored glass (which on the inside is funny to see people adjust themselves in the mirror). The hotel is clearly trying to appeal for an older big-spend market as have a large range of cocktails with a price tag to match. The actual quality was the only issue I could come up. While the staff were all friendly, their newness was clear. They didn't know if it was better to enjoy a coffee in the lounge area or in the bar; then said coffee very disappointing being more burnt froth than anything else. There is only one sweet served in the bar, marshmallows. No cakes, no afternoon tea.! Decor was modern, minimalist, but generally sparse. Although sleek, the hotel lacks any character or memorability; some pieces of interesting artwork or sculpture would be welcome additions. The most interesting thing was the lit hallway on the way to the restrooms (which don't even have any hand moisturizer). It's a new hotel so I would love to come back and revisit in the coming months to see if they find their feet.
