I’m rating this as 5 purely because for £38 a night as I paid it was great. I stopped 2 nights. The location is a doddle to get to and from the tube (which is mega cheap even to go all over London) and I found the staff friendly enough. The shower was spot on also! I went to the Pearl Jam gig at the O2 and getting there from Stratford was really easy. There’s a few more things coming up at the O2 and I’ll definitely stay here again. I can only put the bad reviews down to unrealistic expectations for the low price. So many people expect the world at a discounted price, if you want that, look elsewhere. If you’re happy with a good location, a clean enough room and a roof over your head, this is the place.

Had this for 3 days. The place was amazing, and provided breakfast each morning. :) Being able to nip out the front door to smoke was another big plus for the majority of us. Staff were all mega pleasant and welcoming too.

Great value for money, nothing special but the rooms are clean and good for the money same with breakfast included nothing special but does the trick.

Excellent quality and service. Took my 11year old autistic son here. He loved it. Was relaxed and very comfy stay inexpensive as well. Good value for my needs.

I have never entered Viking hotel I only see the building on the road in front of Artherton leisure centre place but somebody told me that the place is neat with good quality workers and staffs.

Quite good only with the room size you could describe it better.

Justito, very Justito, you have to understand the offer in England because for 100 € night in Spain you have wonders.
The positive, 15 minutes (if you arrive) from the metro and a shopping center.
Our room with boble bed improved, a small pillow x person and sheets (no additional cushions or blankets) small TV, no fridge, I missed a lot in the absence of a thermostat, because they had the heating all day and we went to heat.
In the bathroom 2 towels (fatal, no face, no feet…) and 2 small soap tablets, breakfast composed of milk coffee "juices" (water dye tea and sugar) cereals, toasted ham and cheese, and in the hot area you prepared bacon, beans eggs and sausages.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Anyway if you travel to this hotel, go with the plan done, don't expect kindness Ah! And do not leave the main street because the surrounding are scary.

It is well located and the our staff is very attentive the rooms are small.

Very quiet place however the regret that in the morning there was no hot water despite the fact that I pointed out the problem was not solved.

For my fantastic I recommend it to everyone.

We have been staying for four days, all very well, friendly and polite staff. The room was very clean and the breakfast was very good. It is very well located to go to the metro station, as just enfentre you will find the bus stop, the bus to get to the metro station is the number 86, you can also take the 25, but this, always goes full, I recommend you take the bus 86. Our Estacia has been great, I recommend 100%.

Well. The hotel is partly more the character of a motel than a hotel. But that doesn't really hurt either. The quality of the room is fine. I didn't expect a decent TV and kettle. The cleanliness could be improved a little. Positively surprised that the room was very well prepared almost every day. The breakfast was rather poor for the price but still OK. All in all, the Viking Hotel for a 2 star hotel in London has good value for money. The hotel is well-suited for a purely tourist stay.

After a month I've stayed in this hotel and payed in cash on my arrival they charged me on the bank account as well. Be careful! The same card witch I've made the booking on Booking. Co. Uk.

One of the best hotel in Stratford area of london. Rooms are very specious and cleanly maintain. Buffet breakfast is available to all guests. Food for Lunch and dinner is also marvellous. Rates are also reasonable. Once tourists came here then they will be visiting again and again whenever require to visit at London.

Service was terrible. The hotel reception was under closed shutters looks as if we were talking through jail cells. The canteen looked like some 20th century coldwar era area. The hotel also had so many guest yet so little space for the food creating a huge crowd. The largest downfall is the Wi-Fi being unavailable, this made it sure to me that it is definitely a viking hotel.

The room was clean and the breakfast was very good. The Habotaciones good price-quality for tourists who only pass to sleep, with heating and bathroom quite clean. Friendly staff. Above all good communication already has bus stop in front.

I work away reasonably regular and I would say this is the best hotel I have stayed at. Comfy beds clean rooms with a reasonable size TV which is nice. Friendly staff and all for a fair price would definitely stay here again.

Budget accommodation and well-connected, clean room with towel change and daily cleaning. Free Parking. The staff were very helpful. Perfect for short stays.

As Pete says you pay for what you get we paid £90 which is reasonable, to me a lot. Firstly I have never ever stayed in a hotel with stains in the toilet even in the poorest countries. We had only 2 small towels and no bath mat. Another guest said she slipped coming out the shower. The rest of the room was clean and comfortable. We had tea and coffee for 6 cups. But only 3 milks. On arrival despite the hotel advertising 9.30 end to breakfast was 9.00. For a Sunday morning. We went at 8.40. It was obvious that even then we were too late. But they had begrudgingly accommodate us … Cold bake beans. Toaster switched off. But put back on for us… no orange juice and no hot water. Kettle filled and put on. As the girls hastiedly cleared up for the 9.00 deadline! One standing outside the door talking to friends smoking with the tray of bread so you couldn't grab a smokey slice. Yes staff smoke on the steps where the dining room is. On going to hand my key in I nearly slipped on the tiled floor as it was being cleaned with no warning signs, I thought she was sweeping not mopping. Would I stay again no too basic… it has taught me to pay more so we can enjoy a relaxing break.

Solid hotel, but has more the character of a hostel. Minus point is the skimpy breakfast and the noise from the Street. But those who want to stay mainly should be able to live with it. The main advantage is the shopping centre and the train station, which are a ten minute walk away.

Nice hotel with dimple rooms. Free secure parking. Good breakfast.

Cheap and cheerful. You get what you pay for. Needed more than 1 pillow.

I have had a very bad report from the person that stay here last evening. He said it smelt and felt unsafe, he is an engineer and not known to be a whimp (he said he would prefere to take the 7 hour journey back home than stay in this hotel again). I cannot recommend.

Nice room and clean enough, a shame about the cold water for the shower.

Location is east to find and just opposite a leisure centre which makes it easier to find by bus. The room was like a motel room — with an outside corridor alongside many rooms. The staff however didn't seem to care. It took around 10 mins to check in, yet we were the only guests at reception. We left earlier than planned due to the fire alarm going off, but they hadn't evacuated the building and people were still having the buffet breakfast or were in a huge queue at reception. We'd prepaid so just left them our card and paid for breakfast elsewhere!

Fantastic service at a decent rate per night. Friendly staff and drinks were excellent. Room was a bit warm but it was 30c + when I spent the night there.

I had a nice stay. It is no frills but room clean and comfortable. Decent breakfast. Couldn't fault it for the low price. Parking a bonus too. Would use again.

Acceptable, ideal for fast and cheap holidays. The electrical system of the rooms leaves a little to be desired and the cleanliness is not the best. The Wi-Fi unfortunately is chargeable but the breakfast is included. The latter is quite standard (jam, milk, cereals, bread, ham, cheese, eggs, etc. ) but you can get ready to prepare a good English breakfast. The staff is very friendly. It is a 3-minute walk from a supermarket open until 22:00.

I really liked this hotel in a popular area but booming in London. The hotel is clean, the family room is large and comfortable as well as the bathroom. The breakfast is very good. Private Parking included. Excellent value for money!

This is the most terrible hotel I have ever stayed. Damp room "triple room "at the back of the main hotel. A very rude Eastern European young guy as a receptionist who speaks to costumers with no manners what so ever.

Excellent atmosphere, professional staff, will come back.

The staff is really helpful without the sales director that stays in some mornings at the receptions. He is a really rude and unhelpful turkish/pakistani or something else guy. Without him, I would give to this hotel, 4 stars.

OK hotel for a comfortable stay in London, but the Wi-Fi is not included in the price and costs three pounds per day and device.

Dining room in the reception and breakfast fair, make English breakfast, but if you take it in a tavern either is much better.
Two rooms in one of the toilet was broken, the remote control of the TV was not and the Kettle was dirty and broken.
Service at the level of the establishment, with its more and minuses.
To sleep and not expecting anything this very well.

I'm back from a couple of days from London staying at and genuinely worth what we paid, very little, it wouldn't be evil but it is poorly maintained and the staff in particular was very unfriendly and rude. The breakfast is very poor and if you hurry you take off the front plate, quato, say it's up at 9:00 but at 8:45 begin to remove everything. The good thing is the location very close to the metro and bus station within walking distance or a bus that stops in front of the hotel.

Bit of a dump and receptionist was useless.

No Wi-Fi. … TV remote doesn't work. No reception assistance. I had to walk down to reception yo get new TV remote… which wasn't working either. Second time didn't work either. No douce gel… hand wash soap.

I stayed at this hotel last night and had a very comfortable stay. Upon entering I was greeted by a pleasant man who told me the prices and what it included. I was told of the secure car park at the back also. The room was nice and clean and spacious. I was on the first floor facing the main road but with the windows closed there was not much noise as I would have expected. Breakfast was included in the price of the room but I did not go down for breakfast. Upon leaving the hotel I was asked how my stay was and if everything was satisfactory which it was. I would recommend this hotel to others and would be very happy to stay again.

I stayed in this hotel for 6 days. It is a quiet good hotel for the price I paid for it. Stratford station is near this hotel, you can walk this but there is a public bus that goes from the station to the front door of the hotel! that was really good. There are a few supermarkets very close to the hotel. This hotel is a great deal. There are stories that the personell are phishing for your CC number but if you book online, your credit card will never be needed by the staff.

Well as hotel! set apart from the fact that they let you until 10:30 to go, but good breakfast lol.

The people workinh here run scams to steal peoples passwords using the PHISHING SCAM. They claim to be the person whose identity is stolen and try to solicit a large sum of money from their address book contacts. This hotel is being investigated by london police and hopefully will be shut down VERY SOON and put those owners behind BARS.
