Nov relaxing atmosphere. Nice Choice of beer. A lot cheaper than other places.

Excellent beer and atmosphere.

Always make my dogs welcome, the bar staff always bring water and treats for them without being asked. They also have Heineken on tap, its getting harder to find pubs with decent lager in London! good atmosphere.

Steak and Ale Pie was delicious and our waiter was attentive and very nice!

Brilliant place to have lunch after seeing Big Ben or Westminster Abbey. I shared one of the Sunday roast options with my sister — it was enormous! I loved everything on the plate though; it tastes like a Sunday dinner with family. The gravy and Yorkshire pudding in particular were awesome. Underrated place!

Perfect location and fair price for London. The only problem is that they don't have a kitchen so guests are allowed to use the kitchen from another hostel located 200m away. Great breakfast as well really!

Good location. Friendly staff close to city center and metro lines, decent rooms and bathrooms for the price you pay. Brekfast was included.

Appetizers were ok. Main courses were better. Straightforward menu. Good vibe.

The good thing about this hostel is the nice staff and the free breakfast, other than that, it sucks. The facilities are very small, the showers are terrible and the rooms are cramped and may get uncomfortably warm. It is relatively close to the Westminster Palace but it's not worth it. I don't recommend it unless you want to save money and you don't mind not having privacy. Btw it smells wierd.

Great experience, stayed here just for a night, and team helped me out after I had lost my wallet. Good pub at basement adds to charm. Though being based on road, you might have s trouble if you ain't a morning person.

The hostel is good located near an underground. But the rooms and the bathroom/toilets are not that big and clean. Although, the price is really good for a hostel in London. I stayed twice and I decide recommend.

I was expecting hardly anything with the food, being a vegetarian, but I was amazed to say the least when my order arrived! The goats cheese burger was absolutely spot on with the portobello mushroom cooked to perfection and it looked bloody good! Well presented food, cool indoors and plenty of veg options! … Just a note from my friend: Don’t forget the shamrock on the Guinness next time!

The staff here are so great — they'll do what they can to get you a table even when it's busy — so so nice and really welcoming. Everyone works as a team. The food is really good and the fish and chips are huge! Tons of different burgers to choose from and the atmosphere is calm despite how busy it can get. This is a great pub for night and day. Groups welcomed with open arms :)

Stayed here for a night. Never stayed in a hostel before. Staff where great, friendly, helpful. Rooms where clean. Great location. Food was really nice. A bar downstairs and the rooms upstairs. Met some of the locals. Had a great time.

Great pub amazingly friendly staff and good food stayed here while working in London. Amazing value considering the location would definitely recommend and have stayed a few times.

The Horse & Stables is a local gem. Comfy leather sofas, decent playlists, happy hour 17:00 — 19:00, laid back staff and decent food. Well worth a visit if you're in the area and it's next door to the Lambeth North tube station for easy access to Waterloo. Go check it out!

Just had a day at Imperial War Museum, then decided to get something to eat… what a find 30 second walk from Lambeth North tube station, staff are very friendly and the food was absolutely amazing, the chips were some of the best I have had in a long time.

Go there for a gaming club on Wednesday in the function room. Always have great selection of drinks and staff are always friendly. Very nice homely feel.

Excellency stay at this hostel. The location is just perfect, the workers very friendly and open to help, impeccable services and breakfast the best I have had breakfast in a hostel… super Full! I would have stayed much more without hesitation. 100% Safe.

The dishes are excellent! Typical London Pub, friendly and welcoming, the staff are dynamic and friendly. The prices are affordable, very nice experience.

Very small Hostel and not very clean.

I have was here to see a show that was in a room upstairs. I like a lot how the pubs looks. Kind of old time but also not too much? I ate just the fries and were really nice, home made skin on! The prices didn't seem to be too expensive for the area. I plan to go again soon and check it better, but on the few hours I was there it seemed a really nice place!

Just behind Waterloo station, great location for public transport and lots of amenities close by also within walking distance of many of London's iconic attractions. The staff were really nice and friendly and the place had a great atmosphere, traditional English type pub.

Not a bad pub, meals served are quite small in comparison to other places and the triple cooked chips are strange but good for a quick bite.

The Horse and Stables is a cheerful and great value place to meet for drinks and food. The staff are super friendly. The menu is a good mix of pub classics from burgers, pies and fish and chips, to more interesting dishes like ribs, wings and salads. The function room upstairs has a big capacity of about 80 for drinks and great for parties. Located right by Lambeth North tube station and 5 minutes walk from Waterloo. Highly recommended.

Great location, beautiful pub, friendly staff, nice breakfast, lovely food! Downside: The toilet and showers are awfullly tiny so I wouln't recommend it for a longer stay.

Had an amazing stay at the hostel. They don't have a kitchen however you can go down the road to a different hostel and use there's so that's nice. Drinks are good so is the food!

Appears to be very new and is very clean. The Deluxe Room for 4 has a mobile phone with unlimited domestic calls and 4G, amazing for tourists. There were some issues with the towels (not only us) and their presence in the room upon arrival, but this is a staffing and service issue that might be ironed out in the future.

Lovely staff members who drop everything to help you out when necessary. Food was tasty and the overnight guest discount was well-used and appreciated. Good variety of beds/rooms at different price points. Cleanliness is okay; showers stalls could do with ventilation and more regular washing to keep mold at bay. Overall a nice place to spend your time in London if you're the practical type.

Think hostel accommodation in mixed gender rooms and you're pretty much there. I stayed for one night as there was no train to get me into London early enough for the Congress I was attending over the weekend. Easy booking in with friendly and informative staff. Room and bed basic as are shower and toilet but both clean. Breakfast good and staff amenable for the early shift. As a 60 year old man who is used to hotels, this was a step back in time and out of my now comfort zone. Good to experience the young people I shared the dorm with as considerate. Easy to see them from afar and judge inappropriately. Would recommend.

Located very near big Ben and the London eye. Within a 5 my invite walk. Great price, includes Wi-Fi and complimentary breakfast in the morning. Rooms are adequately sized and beds are quite comfortable.

Had Sunday lunch and drinks here. It's an old fashioned kind of pub, and not all that clean, but drinks are pretty reasonable for central London. Can't complain on portion size, you get a good plate of food for your money, unfortunately chicken was overcooked and dry. All staff were friendly, and service is quick. Overall, a good place for a few drinks with friends, but would probably eat elsewhere if I'm honest.

An old fashioned pub with overly priced hot food and hit or miss bar staff. On our visit they were training a new member of staff but the trainer was rolling his eyes and making sarcastic comments behind his back. Poor show.

A pretty good hostel. Rooms are ok. Customer service is outstanding. Breakfast is excellent. Place is a bit noisy but what do you expect on Westminster bridge road. Good value for money.

A regular pub, which in London is a pond pond. Nothing really good, nothing bad.

Two years ago I got in love with this place, the food was awesome and it had the best Mojito in London. But all that's gone. We went past Thursday, Sept 15th, and most of the menu was spicy or had pepper. Due to my hernia, I look for the only food that has no spicy/pepper on the menu: BBQ ribs… They brought to me a few ribs battered entirely on pepper… It's a pity, I remember from the first time the delicious pulled pork and now, all is pepper and jalapeños…

Fairly clean hostel with a nice pub where live music is played.

Super live music from the finest on Friday night. Free of charge. Nice atmosphere, also as a girl's troupe to recommend. Cheap prices. Nice food. Had a lot of fun.
