Review of Aquarius Hotel 2*

Me and my partner took our first trip to London and had this hotel booked, upon entering the hotel we were greeted with a rather rude person who pointed us to our room, our room was relatively small with 2 single beds (although we booked a double) we had a window which on looked a wonderful alley way which was disgusting to look at and had a disgusting smell. The carpet in the room had blood stains on it, only one light worked, the paint on the walls were half peeled off. Although all of this was pretty bad we were having a good time until we found three cockroaches in our room. I immediately picked up a cockroach and took it to the front desk, the employee tried to offer us another room which we said yes to as it was 02:00 but he did not have one for us for that night, so we left to find another hotel which we did after trying many hotels we found a wonderful hotel called the Lords Jim, we stayed there that night and I went back in the morning to get a refund, the manager was not in and by the looks of things never was in, so I made a call to him I explained the situation to him and he said that he would need to speak to his boss (who was apparently in Dubai) regarding the refund, so I left it for that day and went back the next day and was confronted with 2 people behind the desk one of them who was the person that showed us our room and a man who at first told me he was new and did not have any say in what had happened but turned out to be the owner (the managers Boss), this guy was rude and the best way I can put it is that he was an ass. He would not refund us the excessive £200 for our stay, the best he would refund us was £125.10. This hotel is a joke! DO NOT STAY HERE.
