Had a nice stay here but it was somewhat inconsistent. Some things are really nice and would deserve a 4 or a 5, but other things are maybe a 1 or 2. Hence the 3.
Room (401) : Very small, but clean and well set up.
Bed: Short. I guess it was just 1, 80.
Climate: It was extremely hot when I arrived and there was no possibility to open the the small windows. It took the air-conditioning about half the night to get temperature down.
Bathroom: Big and very clean. Nice amenities.
Breakfast: Very nice staff! Very good food! Well presented!

Don't be fooled by carefully selected photos of the rooms and the trendy entrance. After shimmying into the room it reminded me of my nans airing cupboard. Small, peeling wallpaper and about as much light. Dirty walls and stains on the floors are what you might expect at a travelodge at half the price…

We've stayed here before so came again for 3 nights. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The shower was great and the air conditioning too. So necessary during the extreme temperatures throughout our stay. The food was good and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our eldest son and his partner are going to stay there for the 3rd time this weekend and they are very well travelled too. Thankyou.

Excellent location but it took 3 days of constant reminding to repair the air conditioner (on very hot summer days). Most of the small bathroom filled with a large bath (why not a compact shower? ) leaving space for only an uncomfortably small hand basin. Very helpful and polite staff. Michael Shalit, Israel.

Very nice hotel! The location is great. It's near to a lot of stores, tourist attractions and restaurants. The staff is very nice as well. The rooms are very comfortable and a bit small.

I went there with my friend and I must say that I was really satisfied with the service, stuff and as well with room itself. The place was clean and as per description. Stuff super friendly and helpful. We had a small problem with the room in the meaning of: system of the Hotel by mistake changed our room to smaller, the manager of the Hotel as compensation offered discount and breakfast for free, it was a good solution. Hotel located in a really good place. In the centre. Recommended.

Good location The staff are friendly and the breakfast very good. Single room is clean but it is very small 5m2 (it looks like a student room) and it is also noisy. This is definitely not worth the price in my opinion.

Got the wrong room at first, so we woke a guy up at 2am, but otherwise a great hotel! Cleaning was great, and after figuring out the aircondition, we also had a good nights sleep! The bar in adjacent to the lobby served a fine breakfast, and had a good variety of beer, which also was cheap. Short walk to the tube, which connects you to all of London. Primark close by, and some night clubs.

Honestly not worth the price paid. 185 GBP per night for a tiny room, old enough in the rifinuture, worn carpet, no closet and no safe. Quite noisy and not very soundproof. Nice Hall, different from the usual. Convenient location but nothing more.

Excellent location. Relatively spacous rooms for London. Quaint reception area with attentive staff. Overall very good value.

Rooms are… compact but clean. Good shower but some daft person put the upper shower holder too high to use. Breakfast was freshly prepared (not buffet) but limited selection and staff at breakfast need additional support to be efficient and meet customer needs. Especially for business customers.

Booked 7 nights stay and only been here for 2 nights but so far so good! Great service, a couple mistakes from housekeeping but reception afternoon shift fixed everything we told them right away! Great food options just downstairs!

Room heating didn't work and reception couldn't do anything. I used the blow-dryer as a space heater. No hot water last day, so I didn't get to shower before my 11 hour flight. Otherwise convenient location, easy airport access via subway, outlets that remain on when you leave, fair bedding and no frills. Be aware that there's another hotel called "The Bloomsbury".

Great hotel and pretty cheap for central London. Bit out was early January. Less than 100 GBP for a night was still great! Very good interior design, but my room's carpet and furniture surfaces were pretty run down. The artisan bakery downstairs has the best almond marzipan croissant I ever had in my life.

Lovely hotel, rooms aren't anything special but is in a perfect location to get around London. Staff are very attentive and friendly — requested an iron + board and it was in the room in a couple of minutes. Tip, book directly through the hotel website to get additional discounts from the restaurant and free £10 from the minibar.

Youth hostel would be nicer and they lost my bag and didn’t care! Several problems but they failed to take accountability of any of them. I arrived early from the airport so paid for the previous night so I could get into my room early, when I checked in I was told by the supervisor that I should be grateful for being let into the room early (despite paying for the previous night). Don’t bring a suitcase as there’s no space in the room! Room wasn’t cleaned one day despite ‘clean my room’ tag being left on the door from 11am. They will give you vouchers for an in premises restaurant but don’t tell you the restaurant changes name at 5pm so the vouchers are not valid! A very poor and disappointing experience. Avoid avoid avoid!

Worst hotel ever. More youth hostel than a hotel. First room had mold in the bathroom second room the heater was broken. For this price you get much better deals at hotels nearby. Photos on maps are not accurate. Plus a lot of comment refer to "The Bloomsbury" which is a completely different hotel…

Less than expected for 4 stars. The location was very convenient and the breakfast was nice. Toilets were broken, we mentioned it on the first day, and we've been told that maintenance would come and fix it. They never came, and when we mentioned it again upon check-out, the answer was just 'oh yes, it's an old building, that's normal'. Well, I don't think it's normal to have a broken toilet for almost 200 eur / night… The room was very tiny, especially for 2. It was also rather noisy, although that's normal in such a central location. Breakfast is nice, but rather overpriced.

Great location close to 2 train stations that are minutes away. Helpful and friendly staff.

Clean room, and comfortable bed, but that was about it for me. Carpeting in the hallway was rather loose, making it difficult to push luggage through. Bedside table had a broken leg when we checked in. We advised staff three times, as we did not want to be billed for something that was already defective. The issue was not resolved upon checkout. Staff is otherwise friendly, and helpful.

They left a very sweet honeymoon welcoming gift! Reception was always helpful. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Would stay again.

Cozy hotel very conveniently located in Bloomsbury. The rooms are clean and the staff was cordial and friendly. The price was acceptable. We loved our stay there.

The bar staff need a lesson in customer service but the hotel is nice and a great (if noisy) location. The brighton one is way better.

We had the most incredible stay at My Place (the penthouse suite with a terrace). Eleni and her team were all super sweet and welcoming, there was a handwritten note with a basket of fruit and prosecco on arrival, a fully equipped kitchenette, homely decor, beautiful shower/bath, a large speaker for our music, even board games amongst the rich selection of books. The entire suit was so cosy, it's hard to believe you are literally in the middle of it ALL in London. Just perfect!

Beautiful and spacious room (terrace room) with roof terrace, walk-in wardrobe and bathroom with a big tub, helpful staff who confirmed bookings, nice breakfast restaurants in and around the hotel, great location … just one minor detail, please adjust the water pressure in the bath, as it has a cyklus of spraying extremely hot water followed by a spray of cold water and then back to normal, repeats every 2/3 minutes.

Quiet neighborhood. Nice staff. The room was perfect. Only the sound insulation is not the best.

Really nice hotel, comfortable rooms with all the facilities needed. Helpful and kind staff. Just a short walk from the city centre and still in a quite secluded area so that it's not noisy at all.

It was fine. 1st floor rooms are loud w traffic and pub crowd, and bright lights all night from businesses. Everything in room was great… clean, comfortable, free quality coffee and tea.

Unusable Wi-Fi. Isn't this the most basic thing these days? How can you either work of do your research if the Wi-Fi doesn't work at all?!

Tragic. Very small rooms, noisy and Wi-Fi does not work! There are so many nicer options in the area…

Good hotel for business trips. Come in late — go out early. Has everything you need. Some decent restaurants and bars nearby. Good value for your money.

So, the situation is definitely class. But the (single) are very tight rooms without views (the window was sealed with a temporary slide) and not harmoniously furnished. It's rather a ragtag bunch of furniture. The "Cabinet" had no doors and stood at a narrow point in the room, so that the one came not through without to slide back and forth in his dressing room.
The walls are quite thin and knarzen (wooden planks with thick carpet) floors and the doors popping very loudly in the Castle, so that there is always a certain noise — even at night.
The free Wi-Fi constantly had a speed of maximum 0.5 Mbit / s in the down and upload! Supposedly somebody had but never complained!
For the same money (London is ever very expensive) you can get experience shows that other, better equipped hotels in the district.

Find perfect tion. Full of restaurants of all kinds and centrally situated next to the metro area. L very spacious room and, cafeteria and highly recommended drinks lounge. The only but no one speaks Spanish.

Fantastically located hotel for overnight stays or extended travels to London. Just off Tottenham court rd and near to many attractions and shops.

Quiet hotel located centrally — good price too! I'd definitely come here again. Close to Oxford Street, the buses of Tottenham Court Road and tube stations. Staff aren't the friendliest & seem a bit vague at times — but maybe that's just a UK thing?

This is a fantastic hotel. I highly recommend it for its location and excellent staff. Be sure to get a superior double room as they are not much more expensive, but are much larger. The beds are the most comfortable I found in London, and it is nice to be in walking distance to so many locations.

Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff. Stayed last weekend in the myplace 1 penthouse which was stylish, extremely comfortable and exceptionally well serviced. I heartily recommend it.

Someone needs to tell the staff how to say 'please' and 'thankyou'. Also took payment for the room from my card without confirming first. Wouldn't come back.

Room is very very small (even for London) ; toilet doesn't flush properly; Wi-Fi extremely weak in rooms; no AC. Breakfast is small but lovely.

I went to the Spa at myhotel Bloomsbury for an hour long full body massage and it was such an amazing experience! Christina, the Spa manager, was so professional and great in what she was doing, she gave me some useful advice and really made my day:) I can definitely recommend that place to everyone.

1 star for the restaurant. What a pity that the restaurant staff is so unfriendly and unprepossessing. No smile, No welcoming word, not even a word, nothing pleasant. Butter and jam mixed in a single pot. But the food is good. Tomorrow morning, I'll have my breakfast at the office, I prefer beginning my days with nice people! 4 stars for the hotel. The staff is reactiv and very welcoming. The rooms are nice, comfortable and clean.

Good central location but rooms tiny for the money you pay.

Great service, modern, rooms are spacious. Location is awesome (tube stations are very close). Ask for the continental breakfast to enjoy their fantastic croissants :-).
