Great value! My wife and I are senior citizens, tourists from America. We stayed here on a Sunday night in early June 2018. We were so impressed with this hotel. We paid 79 British Pounds for a standard room with queen bed. During our week-long vacation in the UK, we stayed in 4 different hotels, and this was by far the least expensive, but in terms of quality, it was among the best of the bunch. The hotel is historic, dating back to the 1500s. The reception area suggests this history with mahagony walls similar to an old corporate board room. Hallways are attractively decorated, and our room was luxurious and beautiful. The bathroom was super modern and upscale. We had air conditioning. When we went downstairs for dinner, upon our return to the room we found a maid had been inside to turn down the sheets and leave some chocolates on the pillows. Nice. Dinner at Fullers, downstairs, was very good, with good food but even more importantly it's a way to experience the historic traditional British-inspired room decor on the main floor. The hotel has popular seating outdoors, too, either along the front sidewalk or along the side walkway. There is one downside: if you need to park your car, you must pay for a private lot or garage a block behind the hotel, which is a hassle and costs 10 to 15 pounds per day. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel enthusiastically. One of the best hotel values you could imagine.

The hotel is top class, staff are not snooty, burgers are not very good but I absolutely LOVE this place. Cosy, dim lighting inside, old wooden style to keep with the theme of the area. Pleasant, sexy, classy atmosphere. "Quite" pricey. Feels like a treat staying here, rooms "feel" homely. They DO do room service. I went out in the early hours, which is fine as you can easily use the side door entrance to get back in (even when you've had a few too many! ) :-) Highly recomend!

Had a fantastic stay, lovely room, lots of little extras in the bathroom, complementary beer and bottle water and fresh milk for tea and coffee. When returning from dinner in the restaurant the curtains had been closed, bed turned back and chocolate on the pillow, well impressed. The dinner and breakfast were excellent. All the staff were polite, friendly and very helpful. Would go back tomorrow.

Came in for a quick pint after work. Friendly staff but it was very dark inside with no clear flow of what to do or where to go if I was dining, but, I was just here for a drink, so, to the bar! Ale and lager selection was fantastic but only one cider on tap, which was very bittersweet. I sat in the outdoor seating, a few tables segregated from the street, quirky touch but still gets the hit of the footfall by passerbyers cutting through to the local shops. The menu as a whole looked good great selection for Sunday roasts and the rest of the menu, apart from the fact nobody cared to spell or grammar what I imagine to be a daily rotated menu. All in all a good experience but just needs to sharpen up on the finer things.

Antique Hotel, but soundproof and the pattern is strange, 206 rooms of the bathroom still leaking, as long as someone upstairs Bath, downstairs is big enough to take a shower degree, a bit. In addition, the breakfast is very ordinary …

Great hotel, full of charm and character and within walking distance of the RSC Swan Theatre. Staff were very helpful and friendly, food was amazing and the rooms spacious and comfortable. We stayed in one of the character rooms in the older part of the building which was stunning. Would highly recommend!

What a wonderful place to stay. We have thoroughly enjoyed our break in Stratford-upon Avon and especially our accomodation at the Swan Hotel. Ideally placed close to all the attractions, excellent room and facilities and to top it off, a thoroughly enjoyable breakfast. All of the staff are extremely friendly and attentive, we'll definitely make sure we return here in the future.

Superb central accommodation. Looks to have been recently refurbished. Lovely accommodation, friendly staff, good food. There are two Pay & Display car park to the rear — the multi storey is £10 for 24hours where the street level is £14 for 24 hours.

Top class food! we didn't stay in the hotel, though the building looks fantastic, we were visiting Stratford-upon-Avon by train for the day, and stopped here for a bite eat… cream teas were the order of the day, and they were outstanding! all the people who we interacted with were polite and courteous, the ambience was spot on too… we enjoyed our cream teas so much, I picked up something else to eat on the train journey home, which were carefully packaged for us, with extra napkins and some forks too. We will be back in the summer to sample the delights again, thank you :-)

Great Fullers pub, lots of choices for ales and beers. Food looked good too. It was busy but not packed on Sat lunch time, which meant we could find a table and enjoy a few beers. Lush.

Stayed for two nights very good.

We stayed in one of the premium suites with a four poster bed. The room was stunning and the staff very friendly. We checked our luggage the following day with no issue, and the breakfast was very tasty, with a hot option and a cold buffet.

Had a quick bite to eat there. Friendly staff and pleasant decor. I had a beef sandwich, it was OK but beef very tough and not that flavoursome.

We visited for a wedding in the summer, on one of the hottest days of the year. Several events were taking place and the bar/restaurant were very busy. The staff were absolutely fantastic, very friendly and helpful — despite obviously being very busy. The food was delicious and we were all very well taken care of. A lovely venue.

Here we are again at the magical White Swan for our pre Christmas jaunt. We had the biggest and warmest welcome from all our lovely friends at the hotel, who treat us like family! A weekend just doesn’t seem long enough! 5 Star recommendation from myself and my hubby again. I’ll be booking for 2018 as soon as we can. Love you guys, you do a wonderful job! Xx.

Lovely comfortable rooms, all amenities are available, plus fridge and safe. Shower awesome, staff really friendly and helpful. Town is beautiful. Only downside is that there is no parking available with the hotel, tho there is a public car park right across the road. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful hotel in the middle of the town, retaining its old features and charms. We were staying for a birthday and got a free upgrade to a fabulous room with a gorgeous bathroom (room 111). Restaurant food was delicious, and the staff are super attentive. Would definitely stay again. The only down side is the parking, £14 for 24 hours which is quite steep on top of the room and food.

Great hotel in strategic location.

Lovely room, very clean with a huge bathroom and bath tub. The bed was a bit small in comparison (a double) and the hot water took a very, very long time to come out of sink, tub and shower taps. However considering the artful balance between the old building and modern amenities it was lovely. Bed and breakfast is available on weekends, room also had a mini fridge with great selection and complimentary beer.

The breakfast was really enjoyable. The room was pleasant, clean but a little too warm. The heating controls didn't actually seem to do anything! We were booked into this as part of a walking holiday, the cost of the room did seem excessive based on what you got.

A beautiful hotel in a central location. Very old building with bags of character. Very helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Lovely traditional Tudor style building and rooms. Connected to a pub downstairs which is fabulous. Staff friendly and welcoming. The rooms could use a slight refurbishment but nothing that detracted from our stay.

The hotel itself was very nice and had pleasant, friendly staff. The restaurant was okay, although my partner sent her food back because the food was undercooked. It wasn't busy in the restaurant and our experience just seemed a little rushed. Breakfast was far better. The food was perfect and came out fresh, there was no pre-cooked food on our plates. It was worth the wait.

OK, first of all I didn't expect to dine in a building that was close to 600 years old… I mean, I knew it was old, as much of Stratford upon Avon is, but 600 years, come on — talk about time travel! Then to the important part… the food. Fantastic. Everyone in the party I was with had a great time, enjoyed the meal, and enjoyed the atmosphere. I would be a fool to not revisit this restaurant should I ever find myself in this part of the world again — — and so would you!

The staff are wonderful the building is classy. There is a lot of attention to detail. The food is excellent though there is a step into the restaurant (half of the hotel is more than 500 years old) Nothing is to much trouble. I am wheel chair user and the room was well laid out. The shower facilities could not be bettered​.

Amazing value! I had an extremely enjoyable stay at the White Swan Hotel during Easter. The room was very nice and clean, the bed very comfortable. The dinner and breakfast I had at the hotel's restaurant were really good. Would love to come back and would recommend it for visiting Startford Upon Avon.

Lovely homely atmosphere with beams, wooden floors & cosy chairs. Good food. Outdoor seating at the front which is quite sheltered with a low hedge. The only down side is the price of the beer… A pint, 3 halves & a bag of crisps was £16! That's probably normal for round here but where we come from further north, the beer is half that price!

So, after getting myself caught in lots of traffic and roadworks and completely missing out on seeing everything I came to Stratford upon Avon to see, I walked around the town centre to stretch my legs and chill. I found this place so I decided upon sitting myself down in this pub. Quiet, cosy and comfortable and consoling myself with a burger and a soft drink (I'm driving, remember). But at a little under £15, I would've liked more chips with that.

Excellent rooms with good facilities. Breakfast is a bit slow and disorganized. They say they're cooked to order, but looking through the window into the kitchen, it's clearly prefab.

Loved the place but the service at the bar was slow. There wasn't a queue but there were staff about doing errands. Would definitely recommend it though.

Room was excellent. Service was excellent. And the food in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner was outstanding. Would highly recommend the hotel to anyone staying in Stratford.

We stayed at The White Swan this past weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was gorgeous, well decorated and very clean. The staff were lovely. The location and atmosphere was fantastic. We were in the Romeo and Juliet room. Before our visit I read some complaints about the room being located above the pub and it being quite loud and hard to sleep. I disagree. You could hear some muffled noise from the patrons below, but it in no way detracted from the room our our ability to sleep. And a little noise is to be expected when you stay in a pub. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful building, so with a visit just to take in the surrounding. Now for the bad bits. Food looks impressive but is flavourless. Service was poor, stressful and disorganised.

Stunningly amazing food, would definitely go again. Friendly but very inattentive service — had to actively fetch someone several times. Very much worth the service for the food.
