We arrived Sunday lunchtime oh wow what a find, brilliant atmosphere perfect location by the side of the river plus the food oh my goodness, all facilities you would expect on z campsite too. We have had perfect weather too, would highly recommend this place certainly worth it when you get here x.

A great setting on the banks of the river opposite Tewkesbury, excellent food in both quality and quantity, only downside might be choise of real ales.

Cozy rooms, great staff, good food and drink, wonderful view of the river and countryside. Worth the adventure it takes to find it the first time.

Great Place, very welcoming. I visit once a year for the Barfly's Rally. They also do a great burger and chips (mmmmm)

Hubby & I had a gorgeous Sunday lunch today. Excellent service, Sam was very polite and attentive and he had great customer service. Would highly recommend Sunday lunch or a relaxing drink here.

Perfect place wether it's for a getaway, just food or to host your own function. Sam the owner is amazing and does everything in her power to make you feel welcome. One of my favourite places to visit.

20 of us have just had a celebration weekend. Some stayed over, some camped, most ate, all drank and were merry. Saturdays pub singer was awesome. Thanks to ALL the staff for helping make this weekend truly memorable. Food was great. Service was great. Beer was great. Hospitality was great. Overall bloody great.

Arrived a week ago for an overnight stop on the mooring… the floods came and still here stranded a week later! Sam and her crew have been amazingly welcoming and hospitable. Beer is great food is great… especially the Sunday roast.

Camping this weekend with Blanche & John fab place nice people surroundings are priceless. Bands playing were great cheesy chips awesome… beautiful place staff fab xx.

I love this hidden little gem, been coming here for years for a quick getaway night away. There’s always people here, even mid week, always friendly and relaxed atmosphere, lovely home made food too.

Everything from the setting to the beer & food. Rooms are spacious & very very clean & comfortable.

Lush carvery had today and a bargain compared to others in town. The Food was brilliant.
Lovely setting and atmosphere near the river and we got the ferry over which the kids enjoyed.

Sam organised my mum's wake with amazing food a few years ago and we have been to parties etc there to. We have Never been disappointed.

Great location and access to the river, a very busy day and the staff were lovely and super helpful, loved watching all the bikes come and go and the 10 year old with us said it was “the best BLT she had ever tasted” x.

I have many happy childhood memories of the Lower Lode so it was my first choice in celebrating my wedding. I couldn't have asked for anything better. It was so beautiful and Sam and her team couldn't do enough for you. She is so flexible in allowing you to achieve your dream wedding, nothing is too trouble. The cocktail hour was amazing! All my guests commented on how amazing everything was from the venue to the quality of the food. Thank you so much!

In a word, fantastic. Excellent food, warm friendly a staff and breathtaking views. Loved it so much I got married there. 100% recommend finding out for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

We had a wonderful time and the setting is quite beautiful. We were looked after and made welcome. U would highly recommend this place to anyone. The camping facilities were good, beer great, food wonderful.
