Review of Esplanade Hotel 3*

Vile. Rat infested, very rude manager. Was woken by staff chopping rats head off they then left it to bleed out and didn't apologize. Ladies at the desk are lovely and graffeati staff were nice but after discovering the hotel had rats I will not return until they prove their hygiene rating. No fire alarms (they were disconnected with wires hanging out and switched off at the main circuit. Our light wasn't earthed and didnt have a cover on it making it very easy to get a hold of and almost got electrocuted multiple times, manager is just a bully. Picks on small things no problem raising his voice and being extremely rude to people treats his guests as if they're misbehaving children and is in general not very accommodating many guests have told me they leave early because of him. He's very rude and disrespectful to his staff aswell. Out first room had ants everywhere, broken windows, no heating, only window that opened smelt like potent sewage and was right next to the kitchen so was constantly woken up by them, as we woke up due to the kitchen noise (not only that but the noisy doorbell for the back door and bin outside our window) there was ants all over our wall, babys milk and bedding. Kitchen staff would lean on our window to smoke and talk amongst themselves with no respect for us. Our baby had to wear a long vest, sleepsuit, sleeping bag and two blankets due to huge holes in the window (that you cant see out of) the walls also had an abundance of mold and damp. Our second room would be so smokey due to the kitchen fan blowing air into our room. It was so smokey that we couldn't see the TV and couldn't breath without coughing. People above us had loud sex atleast 12 times a day for about a week at ridiculous times. manager is very judgemental. Room is grim. No Internet. No respect. Manager treats his employees like slaves suprised they haven't left him to be a miserable twat by himself. He picks on people when they're vulnerable and enjoys displaying his disapproval for homeless people. Here's a tip. Don't accept homeless people if you're always judgemental and don't like them. I warn everyone to stay away from this hotel and the managers horrible attitude towards people. Can't stress it enough. He's a horrible person. Acts like hes above everyone when hes got many flaws he should work on before judging people. If I could include pictures of the state of this hotel I would.
