Always a lovely experience at the savoy. Even tough the restaurant was closed for refurbishment the experience was no less. Beautiful food & a perfect atmosphere finished with high quality professional service. The birthday treat at the end was such a treat, thank you. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lovely food, great service was a shame that the drilling work downstairs put a bit of a dampener on our valentines lunch. Would defo recommend once the building work stops!

Recently re opened, new owner and staff, ignore trip advisor reviews from before August this year, so pleased we did, and are here now, staff really happy and lovely, food good, few teething troubles, but hey, early days, Brian Fabio and Molly really are a credit as well as all the other staff, go above and beyond customer satisfaction, Great location, will be returning again soon.

So many rooms need renovating, the mould and dirt and cobwebs we experienced were horrific, definitely could not recommend this place to anyone, we have photo's to prove our experience too.

Left yesterday after our second stay we came with Shearings again and had room 315. The positives: it truly is a beautiful hotel you can't fault the location, the food is and the staff are excellent. The negatives: the free trip to Compton acres is an hour too long yes its nice but it should be halfed. … The recommendation I'd most make though is if you really want to see the area get yourself down to Poole where they do boat trips in and around the area. For all the leaflets you have on the side of reception maybe you should just have ones relevant to the area as the feedback I received was its a nice hotel but their is nothing to do which is not the case.

The hotel is in a lovely setting at the top of the cliffs close to the cliff lift, over looking the sea and grassland area. The Savoy however is in need of a makeover and somewhat dated but clean and pleasant. The outside pool was in need of a good clean though.

Atmosphere. That is what the Savoy is about. It is hard to say when the building was constructed, but it has a 1930s vibe in all the right ways. That is something modern hotels will never achieve. The location is perched on a bluff above South Beach with a beautiful lawn and expansive views of the Atlantic. The hotel itself is an interesting mix of classic preserved early 20th century styling with modern colors and features. Our room was big, with soaring ceilings. The bath was likewise large, but with modern updated amenities. It was clean and neat. We liked it. The foyer and lift are small as is usual for older hotels, but the restaurant area is airy, tasty and very large. If you want a sanitized-same modern Hampton Inn, this may not be your spot. For those who value a unique experience in a great setting, give the Savoy a try. The one negative, and hardly their fault, is that the parking is tight. There are other parking options offsite. Give this one a try. I think you’ll like it.

We booked a Shearing Tour staying at this hotel. I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews. I was very pleasantly surprised ours and friends that we holidaying with, rooms were large, light, airy and clean and modern. The en-suite was also large and clean. The hospitality tray was replenish daily and clean towels provided when needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent with very large choice of self service breakfast which was kept full. The evening meal was also very good with a good choice, service was quick without make you feel rushed. The gardens are kept well, we didn't use the pool but it looked clean. The hotel is close to the beach but quite a steep path to get to it but there is a left which is not too far from the hotel which takes you to and from the beach for a small charge. There is a bus stop close by to take you into the town centre where there are regular buses taking you to a wide variety to towns. All four of us really enjoyed our stat at the Savoy.

Lovely light room, over looking rear garden with pool. Decor needs updating, patio door should be replaced. Food very good. Excellent staff, starting from reception and throughout the hotel.

Nice hotel on the cliff top. Some rooms better than others. Dining Room pleasant with views over the garden, there is set meals or a la carter. Handy for shops, beach and pier.

Great location and the rooms are clean. The showers are horrible some rooms have been refurbished and other are dated with bath tubs. The TV in the room was tiny almost impossible to use. You have to pay extra for parking I would suggest booking in advance.

We were on a 5 days tour with Shearing and had a very time! It's always a little tiring but know we have to take rest stops. The hotel was very good, staff and food were good. The grounds etc are nice with walkway down to lovely beach. The only thing we had trouble with was squeaky floorboards! and the sash Windows where painted over and could not open.

Room was large and comfortable and had view as seen in the photo. Food was reasonable but portions small, probably designed to steer one to a la carte. Staff were friendly and helpfull as you would expect. There was entertainment most nights from 21.00hrs. Car parking was £6 a day (Reserved). All in all it was what you would expect from a seaside holiday hotel.

CLose to the beach and city centre but only positive. No parking available when I got there. Price was high although weekend but did not include breakfast. No ammenities for us to use. Felt like a prison with 2 cups in the sink. Tiny TV. Cold water that takes 15 mins to run warm. Dirty curtain showers. Not a very good stay. Won’t be returning or advising anyone to stay there.

Clean posh, but not snobs, friendly staff, nice breakfast, self service, nice food, nice rooms, not far away from the sea.

Lovely clean hotel with friendly staff who are happy to assist you so that you enjoy your stay with them. One day we discovered that the room keeper had forgotten to replenish our stock of teabags and when we went to reception to ask for some they gave us extra as a way of saying sorry to us. Personally my mother and I can not fault the service that was provided. We enjoyed ourselves and went home with a lot of happy memories.

Lovely staff, can’t do enough for you. Very very polite too. Good choice of food. Lovely location with sun terrace at rear with view over garden and sea. Entertainment is absolutely first class, Wednesday with Amanda Jayne, Thursday and Saturday with the lovely Neil Scott. Have been there a few times and can’t wait to return!

The room with sea view is huge, clean and well decorated with lovely balcony! Breakfast is plenty and various! Staff are professional and helpful! A bit old fashion design building but in a super location!

The rooms were okay. There was plaster coming down in one corner and some stains up the walls in the opposite corner. The whole place is getting revamped. It's clear the team that work there are dedicated to ensuring a high level of customer service. Food options were good with a chef special each night. Live music was available most evenings. The communal areas of the hotel were very comfortable and spacious and there are beautiful terraces and gardens to rear. The close proximity to Bournemouth Pier and beach was an added bonus. I would stay there again.

Good value room clean but needs updating. Two main downsides room far too hot even with radiator off. Most people's room had this problem. The worse thing was the downstairs gents toilet. In December it was reported how bad the leaks were this time it was far worse so much so it should have been locked out of use. Staff friendly and food was cooked well.

Excellent value for money staying in a standard but fully refurbished room and en suite. Staff very friendly and food good. This is a well run hotel from our recent experience.

Fantastic hotel, great location and the Suprior Room was a dream. Great food and entertainment on Friday and Saturday was brilliant. Our 2nd visit and we will definitely be back again.

Terrible! Website miss leading, rooms looked nice and up to date on website but were given a tiny room from the 1960's with a shower that dribbles on full power… Why didn't they show these rooms on the website! Hummm, but still the same price! Good position though! The next road along has a travel lodge, stay there!

Very tired & dated. Needs a bit of a touch up with a paint brush… room painted grey with nothing on high ceilinged walls except for a postage stamp tv.
Heating was on in room all night and made it lile a sauna. Pillows are awful foam. Won't be staying here again in a hurry as we have had a lot better for a lot less.
The most redeeming feature is the tea/coffee and cake in the afternoon whuch was nice and very reasonable.

Had dinner here with friends while staying nearby at the Highcliff Hotel. This is a very traditional hotel for guests who appreciate traditional food and ballroom dancing. The dining room was rather like a refectory, but the real deal was the live fifties music which drifted into the room, preserving in aspic a vanished world. The clientele loved it. The floor was packed. True love ways certainly live on.

Just had a great 4 days. Comfortable room. Friendly staff. Great food. Would book again without hesitation. Bonus was the sun shone 4 four days. @ end of November — unheard of!

We visited the bar for a drink. The hotel looked nice, the staff were friendly, and my friend's room looked pleasant, spacious with good views. Only downside was how old fashioned it seemed.

I really enjoyed The Savoy Hotel becuase all the staff and reception was very polite and I would recommend it for anyone. Else to go and have a holiday break away the rooms was very nice and comfortable and the food and desserts was very lovely and I enjoyed everything I would give them 10/10

My parents stayed here as part of a package. It was great for their age group and touring groups. Really nice sprawling gardens that are actually quite secluded. I would stay here with the my kids if only their pool was heated! It's a nice pool but it's shaded and it's cold… even in August! The restaurant is quite nice too from what my parents told me. Also only a 10 minute walk to beach.

We paid £241 for 2 nights, room only standard room. It was the bank holiday so can understand the mark up. However would have expected better quality bed most uncomfortable bed. The bathroom was tiny with rust. The rooms were not sound proof. We had a lovely view of the car park. We were lucky to get off street car parking as the hotel car park was £8 per day and so tight limited spaces. The only reason I gave this hotel 2* is the location to the beach. Was a really run down hotel not worth what we paid. Disappointment.

In need of a modernisation but clean, staff Friendly, breakfast good but not enough staff, had to wait for eggs and bread. Would go back.

Fantastic event held here on the lawn. John and his team pulled out all the stops to make this a memorable occasion for us. Thank you to Catarina for the delicious boozy cakes, which were an unexpected addition and for stepping in on a last minute cancellation, to ensure that everything was catered for. This Hotel and it's staff are a hidden gem.

Not the best place for someone under the age of 40 years old. Very old building this place needs soundproofing could hear upstairs people walking around at 6am all morning … nice walk uo call on Sun. Breakfast was poorer… not worth paying £8.95.

Ate at the restaurant and had drinks at the bar at The Savoy on West Cliff. The food is average — there are better places near the hotel to eat though. The bar is fine and the staff were pleasant. Not a huge amount of drinks on tap, but about what you would expect for a hotel bar.

Very good hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Food is very good & varied on the fixed menu. The A le carte is exceptional. Our room seemed huge, with a nice bathroom. Lovely views over the gardens to the sea. This hotel is near the town and the beach.

Nice, clean, a little dated and the location is fine. It's quiet and secure, so can't really criticize anything.

The staff are all friendly, I have been to evening events and stayed previously and every time have a great night. Location is good, near the sea and not that far from the shopping centre. The rooms are nice and food is good too. I would recommend it.

Bournemouth was nice enough, but The Savoy Hotel is a nice name for a run-down terrible hotel. Rude staff does not really help either. Very children unfriendly on top of that…

Visited the Savoy on a shearings coach holiday April 2016-2 adults the hotel was friendly — the staff pleasant — the FOOD VERY GOOD buffet breakfast — yes I did make a pig of myself — Entertainment was poor whilst we were there — bar prices what you would expect in a decent hotel. evening meal — choice starter — main-sweet — waitress excellent — dining room very efficient — set time for your meal (you have the option of what time you want to eat) — eased congestion — GOOD IDEA — not all piling in at once- Wi-Fi in public room — nice lounge — bar terrace — would be good in summer swimming pool outside (closed when we were there) opened May overall the hotel was Good — Room was adequate — bathroom refurbished and modern — (room 416) only 1 lift though — but didn't bother us — quiet at night Snooker Room — Warning Bournemouth is NOT for the less mobile as its very hilly — good shopping centre and gardens — Flat beach walk for miles — we had a good break there — no hassle — quiet — good food and drink Yes we would return there if we went to Bournemouth again.

Visited to eat lunch with the grandparents. Very busy when the coaches come in but the burger is rather tasty and service is reasonably good.

Avoid at all costs, posh name but a dire hotel, deeply unpleasant, bad smells, wobbly floors, shabby dark room.

Whilst the main bedroom area was clean, the state of the bathroom and dining was not nice by any stretch. Bath was dirty with hair in the plug hole, food was often cold and had to be re-served. Most of the staff were really good and efficient nonetheless. Should be a two rather than three star establishment.

This hotel is situated on the West Cliff, overlooking the sea. Ideal for visiting nearby resorts and places of interest. The local bus service is frequent and the stops are close to the hotel. For those guests who have limited mobility there are lounges, the verandah and gardens to sit and relax in. The sea front is a very short walk away and there are plenty of seats available. The food is very good, the staff are friendly and efficient. There was entertainment every night and this was first class. We had a family room on the 3rd floor, which had recently been refurbished. We had plenty of space and it was kept spotlessly clean. We would recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay there in the future.

We have been to the Savoy Hotel on a number of times and have had a fantastic time, we are booked in again this year. The service is second to none.
