Love the service we receive here, been here twice now and the staff make us feel so welcomed we brought our 6 month old with us this time and the staff just doted on her helping with high chairs at breakfast and entertaining her so we could eat. It's an old creaky quirky place rooms are all different shapes and sizes and it's very up stairs down stairs but to be honest for the price, the service and the tasty breakfast it's worth it and it's just the charm of the place! The pool is small (to be expected) but very warm and clean our little one loved it! We'll be coming back for a 3rd visit definitely!

Nice location and polite staff. The room is clean and okay for short stay. However, the bathroom, the bed matress and covers all need an upgrade. Overall good value for money.

Clean tidy hotel. Costly parking, could benefit from better wine list. Good food and facilities.

Fantastic service! The staff welcoming and very friendly. The room was very clean the facilities were very good all working. Needed extra tea coffee sugars and all were provided. The sauna and jacuzzi and pool was an extra treat and was all included in the price off the stay. I will definitely be returning this year. All staff including house keeping were very friendly polite and made our stay that bit more special. Would like to say a massive thank you.

The swimming pool was lovely and warm, and perfect for our family to have relax and have fun after our journey. The restaurant is attractively decorated with friendly staff, and our breakfasts were delicious. A very pleasant stay.

I had a very pleasant stay here for one night. Parts are looking a little tired. They have spent a lot of money revamping the downstairs but feel that they should have sorted out front of house first. The entrance is very tired and lacking. The room that I had (27) was very small. I felt that they had squeezed a double into a single room. You and fault the staff, all very friendly and helpful.

Nice clean hotel. Would recommend. Close to city centre & beach. Love the pool.

Very good value for money. Paid £34 for a twin room for 2 which included breakfast. Very friendly staff. Full English plus cereals etc. Made a lovely effort to make it Christmassy too. 10 mins walk to town.

Not great, staff were rude, noisy rooms because of generators, family room? No way you couldn't even swing a phone charger round let alone a cat Bar staff would short measure and he did not even know how to make a white wine spritzer Everything was overpriced and the pool water was 'thick' almost Book a room at own risk.

Lovely room, comfortable bed, clean and homely. Cheerful staff — very helpful. Great atmosphere, lovely breakfast. Will be staying again soon!

Not bad but for the price we paid for a family of 4 for one night I would've expected more. Shower in room was nothing more than a dribble, out of the 4 windows in room only 2 opened (not good when it's warm outside) and as for the swimming pool it was terrible. We got in and got straight out again.

Staff was pleasant room was clean but in need of some modernization, some new furniture would give it the uplift it needs! Kids loved the pool its not big but does the job. Breakfast was fantastic, breakfast staff was outstanding. Perfect location a nice walking distance to shops, pubs and restaurants.

Fairly clean hotel. Cheapest we could find for the one night and definitely worked as a base but would not recommend for someone expecting to spend longer in their room. Breakfast was good and the new part of the hotel looked much better/cleaner.

The hotel is very nice, and well located with many restaurants within walking distance. Even though the room was small, it had an en-suite and was very comfortable. It had a small tray with sugar, coffee and tea sachets, kettle, ironing board and iron and hair dryer and quite a few towels and toiletries. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast each day we stayed at the hotel and the attention was superb. We had the opportunity to use some of the other facilities, such as: cinema, jacuzzi and swimming pool, all very enjoyable. We used the bar once and there was an excellent performance delivered by a Tyler James who has a superb voice, we really enjoyed the time there. We also used the lounge and watched a couple of programs there. The whole environment in the hotel is great, plenty of places to relax and enjoy. The staff was very helpful and friendly at all times. Would fully recommend this hotel. 5

The hotel occupies two buildings so you need to walk from one to the other if your room happens to be in the opposite one from the bar, restaurant and pool. Could do with the pool area updating along with the bar/entertainment room downstairs. Typical English seaside hotel. Plenty of parking spaces and ideally situated for what Bournemouth has to offer. Room clean and comfortable but the bathroom was one of the smallest I have seen, could hardly sit comfortably on the loo as it was so close to the bath!

Nice cosy hotel with friendly staff, close to the town centre and beach. Food was good. Enjoyed the swimming pool and jacuzzi. The double room was tiny.

Small room, small shower room and very small wash basin. I made a mess in the shower and there were no towels. The receptionist offered towels but you had to go and collect it, and then might have to wait if she's serving behind the bar. Breakfast was decent and the staff are friendly. I'm just used to bigger chains hotels, but I'm certain the charm in this place appeals to many. I'm 33.

Very nice hotel, great staff and service. Always ready to help in any question or doubt. Well recomended, 5 min from the town center. Hope to stay there again.

I stayed at this hotel for a week while on a First Point Photography course and was thoroughly disappointed by the hotel. I found the room (a small double) was tiny and smelt rather damp. The food was, on the whole, very bland and basic. One of the breakfasts actually made me physically ill — the food was dripping in grease and the meat had been reheated. I told the manager Eddie about this who refused to believe that their food could make me ill — I found him very rude. Staff manners and customer service could generally be improved at this hotel — including the waitress who burped in front of my table while taking our food order! The walls between the rooms were very thin, so prepare to be kept awake and woken early. And the shower pressure was very weak.

Staff were more interested in re-setting used tables than serving existing diners. They were also happy to argue with us when we mistakenly sat in the wrong dining seats. Due to a refurbishment in progress, our bathroom had issues that went unresolved. On a positive note, the rooms and linen were spotless. Wouldn't go back. Written on behalf of parent.

Everything about The New Westcliff Hotel is absoloutly fabulous; all the staff have a 5* rating each because they are just so chatty and funny and easily make friends with you. If you don't go to this restaraunt you are missing out BIG time! But when it comes to your last few minutes of being in that hotel you really miss it, and the people in it. Everyone books for the next year so if you see the same person one year, you'll definatly see them again — and I just want to say — Hi eddie, carlos, and the greek guy whos name I can't pronounce, sorry, hope to see you next year!
