Ostler Inn Hotel

Very welcoming, service was great even though they were short staffed. They kept checking in on us to make sure everything’s was ok. Food was cooked perfect and tasted very good. They also welcomed our puppy with treats. Will definitely visit again.

Great beer food was amazing great landlord.

Proper pub regardless of if you are eating or just there for a drink, great food and generous portions so there was no way I was having a dessert, friendly people/ staff.

Stayed for 2 nights and was made to feel extremely welcome. Fantastic food and excellent value, Landlord very welcoming and service was fantastic. Highly recommend!

Travelled from Cardiff for a one night stay last minute at 10pm. Really pleased with room for a good price esp in August for area… very nice manager who seemed very down to earth and a lovely fella. Couldn't fault him… Will defiantly stay again if I'm in area.

A lovely old village pub.
Great selection of ciders, of which I had the raspberry flavoured on draught, very good.
No food was being served, but the landlord was more than happy for us to eat food from the takeaway just down the road. He was even kind enough to tidy our rubbish away too.
A dog friendly pub we would recommend visiting.

Staff and locals are very lovely, the rooms are an ideal size, very clean and comfortable. Couldn't open the windows in my room but it was cool enough for it to be comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

Stopped here briefly for drinks. The coffee was poor and the Diet Coke had to be left because it smelled bad. It's a nice-looking pub though. There were quite a few flies in the bar area. The passage to the toilets was undecorated, but the toilets themselves were clean.

Stayed there last week, cheap and cheerful, room was excellant, Father and Son setup were extreamly friendly, I've read other reviews where people have moaned about the entrance and stairway carpet and other bits, let me assure you the place is great and friendly and they serve a great pint, if I'm ever in the area again I will have not reservations about staying there, Cheers Guys.

Always a warm welcome, good selection of changing ales, regular live music. A very good local.

Great local; I'd feel lost without it. Look out for their legendary monthly music nights which are always fab. Three quality ales usually on offer including a lesser-known guest beer.

The staff were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough to help us, allowing us to eat our takeaway in the pub and also providing cutlery. We had a lovely evening in an excellent pub, good music and was lively, some excellent ciders too. My girlfriend had a lovely, well cooked fry up, good size too. … The rooms were nice and clean and had everything you'd need, no noise from in the pub or outside so had a great night's sleep. All in all we couldn't have asked for a better nights stay before heading off for our holiday, highly recommended.

Was cheap but I got to say it's in my top 3 of worst hotels, b and b that ive stayed in. Room was smelly, dirty carpet, no hot water, flies in pub area whilst having breakfast. Wi-Fi couldnt reach our room. Good points were nice breakfast, friendly staff, free chocolate bars, good shower. Find somewhere better imo.

Upon walking upstairs to room it smelt. Room was very dated. Dirty carpet. No hot water. No heating. Shower was powerful and hot. Free chocolate bars along with tea and coffee. Breakfast was ok, no complaints apart from a few flies. Look for something better imo.

Great food. Friendly and helpful staff. The landlord treats you like family. A great down to earth atmosphere with great guest beers.

First Imprecision it looked a bit tired the hosts are refurbishing a room at a time so keep booking so they can do this. The hosts are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and tidy always and the in room drinks are replenished every day. The food offered is exceptional and the breakfast are amazing. It is situated in the middle of a small village where if you sit in front of the Ostler everybody will say hello. All in all a very nice place to stay.

Beer on tap, Jukebox, Pool Table. What more do you need?

Love this pub. Friendly, down to earth, good guest beers. Not pretentious, not poncey, just proper.

All I'll say is 'everybodys Kung-Fu fighting'! Nice pub and landlord ruined by small minded locals.
