I stayed as part of my friend's wedding celebrations. The cottage was really lovely — big rooms, comfy beds, spotless. Steve and tanya left some treats for us and the place was decked out with fresh flowers. The outdoor space was great, the fire pit made it a lovely place to relax the night before the wedding. Steve and tanya did all they could do make us feel welcome, and they were the best hosts I could have hoped for. The cottage was the perfect place to get ready in the morning, as we could all sit around in the living room with plenty of space (we spent most of the morning drinking tea and chatting while the hairdresser did our hair). The only negative was having to leave : (

What can I say about this place… from the gorgeous setting to all the little personal touches in our cottage it was just perfect! We arrived after a hellish 8 hour journey and were welcomed with a lovely hamper of treats, a bottle of fizz and even a VIP hamper for our dog Mr Kubla. The information provided on the local area was extensive and literally covered all bases had I needed a dentist or a vet all I had to do was flick through our welcome pack. We decided last minute that having a baby sitter on the evening would be nice, this was no trouble either and with the arrival of Ocean we were able to relax and enjoyed our family wedding child free! Kubla was also treated to several evening strolls and lots of cuddles. All in all I would absolutely recommend anyone visiting the area books a stay at these fab cottages. Thanks again Ali and gang. We had a wonderful three day wedding stay in Bramley Cottage at Old Bridwell. The cottage felt very spacious, was brilliantly equipped and contained every amenity that we (a family of grandparents, parents and 3 grandchildren) could have wanted. The owners greeted us with what they called basics (milk, bread etc) but which also contained scrumptious scones, clotted cream and jam. They continued to help in any way possible, providing DVDs for the children, for example. We shall be returning!

My parents and Nan stayed here for a week at Christmas. It was beautiful and just amazing.
Tanya and Steve were really welcoming. Apparently the welcome scones were amazing… I didng get any by time I got round, they had been eaten. Def worth staying here.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Old Bridwell Cottages. Our cottage was beautiful and Steve and Tanya went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect — the welcome pack for us and the dog were so sweet, the doggy day care was fabulous, the cottage was spotless and the hosts couldn’t be more helpful. We would highly recommend and will definitely be making a return visit!

My sister got married at Bridwell on the 15th June. Whilst guests stayed here over the weekend we stayed here the weekend before to help prepare for the wedding and it was incredible! The houses are beautifully furnished with fresh flowers throughout picked from the garden. The welcome hamper was above and beyond — we even got one for our dog! But most of all I was so impressed with Steve and Tanya’s Hospitality they were so welcoming always on hand to help. We were particularly demanding guests as we had so much stuff for the wedding making signs etc they even accommodated this and made space for us to store bits in the garage before the wedding! I honestly can’t thank them enough and would love to return in the future x.

Beautiful place and excellent hosts. The cottages are very clean and furnished to a very high standard. Well maintained with plenty of space outside for breakfast or a drink in the afternoon. A listed, walled garden adds a lot of charm. The hosts, Steve and Tanya, are wonderful people. They gave us a number of helpful recommendations on restaurants and pubs, and the best beches around. Highly recommended.

Couldn't have been better. After battling with the Friday traffic on the 303 it was amazing to be greeted with a chilled glass of bubbly and a cream tea… just what the doctor ordered. The location was perfect for our needs, the accommodation was perfect for our family group and how you organised the sunshine is beyond me! Great attention to detail from having lights on ready to leaving chocolates in every conceivable place. Thank you.

We have just returned from an incredible weekend away in the Old Farmhouse at Old Bridwell over New Year and would certainly recommend it to others. The cottage had bags of character and was far bigger than expected. It comfortably slept 8 of us, with plenty of social space, and reflected much better value for money than anywhere else we found over this period. Steve’s hospitality was second to none, he was very communicative before our visit and was always on hand when required during our stay to give tips on the local area/help us settle into the house. His family even left us some fizz in the fridge and a doggy hamper for our four legged companion. Thanks Steve and Tanya we hope to be back soon! Sarah and friends.
