One of my party picked up a bout of food poisening, as well as mice being spotted, the manager of course denied the hotel was responsible but we know different.

No shower could not stand up in Bath to use shower that you attach to taps. Staff excellent and bar prices superb entertainment good as well.

Had lovely experience. Nice room lovely food and staff really helpful.

First night stay was not to bad, then all the same sex groups arrived with no thought to anyone other than their selfless selves. Impossible to get to sleep with all the running back and forth of drunken gits. Went to find night porter to no avail, apparently he was doing his rounds, where we don't know because it certainly was no where near our side of the building. Wife and I spent 20 mins packing bike at 1.30am to travel home, then at aproximately 1.40am the night porter came to ask us who we were, then he realised we were guests and asked what was wrong, we informed him and he went to look, only to come back and inform us it was all quiet, so was the western front when the Germans want to see what the British army were up too. Hotel refuse to lay any blame at their doorstep laying all at my wife and I. They were fully aware there were same sexed parties at the hotel so why did they not offer us a different room on the other side of the hotel away from these clowns, rooms were available apparently. Had they pointed out that they accepted same sexed drunken parties on their website we would not have stayed here. Certainly will never stay again PLEASE READ ALL REVIEWS BEFORE BOOKING HERE. They also allow drunken NAKED lads running through the door.

Outdated and room was not up to standard. Bathroom was tatty. On the other hand the staff were wonderful.

I personally love this hotel and this was my second time staying there and it won't be my last, nothing fancy good and down to earth, clean comfortable beds, clean towels. Friendly staff, lovely beer gardens, plenty of in house entertainment Excellent value for money. Easy walking distance to Torquay harbour and Babbacombe is easy to walk to from there. Another great stay Thanks to all staff.

The hotel could do with a touch up but besides that it's very nice place with very polite staff.

Stayed here for one night nice place but think it's in need of a bit of a make over. Staff very polite cheap beer. That's a bonus. Parking can be a bit of a problem but did find a place. One down side breakfast was only half an hour 8-30 to 9-00 so did not bother.

Top rate three star service. Good food, entertainment, clean room etc. Staff excellent. Recommended.

The room was awful it had mold in it. There wasnt a shower. The roof had a hole in it and rain had gotten through and had made the floor wet. The swimming pool didn't have any changing rooms to get changed and the showers there didn't work.

Very basic small room, friendly staff, good parking.

Bloody awful. Breakfast made us both sick. And turned up 2 mins after ordering (obviously sat under heat lamp) ot was alike warm, bitty, full of fat and the toast was cold and rubbery… The room was dirty… o had to actually wash the toothbrush holder and the bedside tables… Furniture was old and chipped/broken so was sharp… Paper thin walls as in you can hear room next door conversation as if they were next to you… Tea and coffee in rooms was value sachets and tasted awful. Shower was literally Grose and the shower mat had brown lumps in it… About 5 parking spaces for a 50 odd bedroom hotel… Really was an awful stay.

After reading the reviews I was unsure about staying but when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised. Yes it’s a little dated but it’s clean enough and the staff were really nice and helpful and the food and facilities are good. Not sure what people really expect for the money but this is ideal. We stayed for 2 nights and everything about it, even it’s location was spot on. I think a lot of people’s issues from what I’ve read are with their tour operator and not with the hotel but it’s the hotel that gets a kicking. If you want 5* luxury then stop at the Grand Hotel which is on the seafront but you’ll be paying £200 a night, on the other hand give this a chance if you want somewhere that’s cheap, clean and idea to use as a base. Will be coming back again.

Badly needs upgraded, no shower just crazy hose that doesn't fit bath taps kept falling off & soaking toilet floor, also bedroom door had faulty lock couldn't get it to close right, carpets filthy also carpet was glued on to bath instead of panel which was really unusual, on brighter side food was good, staff were nice but will not be going back.

Needs updating but room was lovely n clean, staff was amazing, food top notch. I will definitely be coming back xx.

Friendly staff … good value for money. Lovely breakfast.

This place should be demolised and rebuilt its the worst place ive been to david urquart should be ashamed sending pepole here never again will I travel with you.

Smelly room, hair left in shower, shower broken (spraying water out piping) temperature changing on its own ranging from freezing to scalding However cheap price, comfey bed and friendly staff.

Booked at the Burlington, when we arrived they told us they didnt have any rooms available. They then booked us into the most appalling 'hotel' across Torquay which was miles away from where we wanted to be. Avoid.

Hotel in need of massive refurb ut it suited our needs for the weekend great staff.
